Report a translation problem
I'll try to align to your advices throughout my progress.
I sent an email to Jonathan this morning, hope he can clarify what he intends to do with the original version of the game, given that he spends most of his time on the remaster indeed.
I might be wrong but I think Jonathan Brassaud is a pixel artist and thus has no experience in debugging. Furthermore, he's been working on an updated version for over a year but since he is developing the game by himself it's going pretty slowly. His Facebook page should have more info on this though.
Looking at the map, it seems you cannot avoid "going near the Chests before getting the skill first", as there seems to be chests on your way to the mini boss.
I plan to 100% the game and I red you struggled to get 100% chests opened. I would not want such stupid bug to prevent that.
Speaking of bugs and having a clear view of what they consist of, how come the Jonathan has not fixed them yet ?
