Introduction

"Hello, I am Doctor Malcom. I have spent many hours studying the plants of world, and wanted to share my findings. I've confirmed my results to the best of my abilities, but is always a chance for errors. Most of the plants are beneficial...but some are not, so knowing what you're facing is important!"

- Doctor Malcom
Common Mushrooms
Glowing Trio - 5 Essence Points

"Often used by animals as a source of light in their dens, these mushrooms are foul tasting but their soft glow is perfect for creatures a bit afraid of the dark." - Doctor Malcom
Blue Mystic - 5 Essence Points

"Another glowing mushroom that is favored for its ability to light up dens in the dark. This species is more slender, and preferred by small animals with small dens since it takes up less room." - Doctor Malcom
Double Ballcaps - 5 Essence Points

"Very straightforward and simple mushrooms, with a vaguely nutty flavor. They are a good snack for any animal, as they pack a lot of energy in a small bite." - Doctor Malcom
Branching Cream Caps - 5 Essence Points

"A pair of crossed stalks, joined at the intersection with sticky sap. No one really knows why they grow like this, from a shared root system, outwards and then crossing over each other, but it is interesting none the less." - Doctor Malcom
Marbled Duo - 5 Essence Points

"Delightfully tasty treats, but not something to indulge in excessively, since they contain very little nutrition." - Doctor Malcom
Toad Caps - 5 Essence Points

"Ah, the classic mushroom. Many will recognize this species of fungi. Very bland and with a distasteful spongey texture, but a excellent remedy for tooth ache." - Doctor Malcom
Little Tree - 5 Essence Points

"So named because of its resemblance to a conifer pine tree, this little mushroom is a favorite among children, because if it is uprooted and turned on its hard cap, it can be spun like a top." - Doctor Malcom
Golden Crown - 5 Essence Points

"A very common, very pretty fungus with a buttery taste, if you can get past the dry chalky texture." - Doctor Malcom
Flatcaps - 5 Essence Points

"Large flat caps give these their rather obvious name. More civilized animals will use these as dinner plates to eat off of, but they are not good food themselves." - Doctor Malcom
Poolcap - 5 Essence Points

"A thick bodied fungus with a indented cap, this mushroom gets its name from how it collects rainwater in its basin, and then uses a sweet wax around the rim to attract insects, which slip and fall into the collected water and drown. They are then absorbed by the mushroom." - Doctor Malcom
Funnel Horns - 5 Essence Points

"These are large mushrooms, which like the Poolcap, has slick wax interiors that lets insects and water fall inside for the carnivorous mushroom to absorb. These give off an unpleasant smell and many tend to avoid them." - Doctor Malcom
Rare Mushrooms
Olive Giant - 10 Essence Points

"A very tall green-hued mushroom, this is a favorite for children to play on since it is strong enough to hold their weight," - Doctor Malcom
Tubular Cluster - 10 Essence Points

"Easily noticeable from other Fungi due to its fathering of tall tube sprouts, sometimes called 'rabbit ears' though they don't much look like rabbit ears to me." - Doctor Malcom
Purple Fringe-Cap - 10 Essence Points

"Very sweet and tasty fungi, animals will often tug off the fringes off their caps as a quick snack. Don't worry, they grow back." - Doctor Malcom
Golden Buds - 10 Essence Points

"Told apart by its large, bulbous yellow ends, this fungus has a super sweet taste thanks to its sugary sap that covers it. Parents are advised to keep an eye on their children if one is near, because they love its sweet taste." - Doctor Malcom
Giant Cloud Towers - 10 Essence Points

"Great ivory pillars, rising up taller than a Pheasant. Very hard as well, with a thick protective skin protecting its delicate interior. A good hearty meal, full of fiber, if you can get to it." - Doctor Malcom
Ruby Toadstool - 10 Essence Points

"A personal favorite of mine, this mushroom has a reddish pink cap and is actually poisonous, so do not eat it. Despite its toxicity, it is a favored fungus for decoration." - Doctor Malcom
Mottled Rain Catcher - 10 Essence Points

"This fungus has a camouflaged body that can make it quite difficult to see, even at its large size. This one, unlike the others that have indented caps, does not capture insects to devour. Instead it lets water stagnate within its cap, and algae will grow inside." - Doctor Malcom
Feathered Purple Trumpet - 10 Essence Points

"A delicate fungus that grows on a very thin stalk, and suddenly broadens out at its far end into a large bowl shaped cap. The 'feathers' on its sides are not truly feathers of course, but rather are fungus flaps that move with the wind, making a racket of noise on windy days." - Doctor Malcom
Pink Antler Mushroom - 10 Essence Points

"A large mushroom, with thick bodied extensions that some compare to a Deer's antler. Some say it has a almost fruity taste, but I haven't dared try it. The smell of it is rather unpleasant." - Doctor Malcom
Fabled Mushrooms
Golden Eagle Wing - 50 Essence Points

"So named for its resemblance to a eagle's outspread wing, and the fact it is commonly found on very high mountain sides. I tried one once, it was absolutely exquisite." - Doctor Malcom
Tiered Emperor - 50 Essence Points

"A very majestic and grand mushroom, that buds off little mushrooms around itself. It shines with a golden hue, and stands isolated on lonely mountain peaks." - Doctor Malcom
Cornucopia Fungi - 50 Essence Points

"This immense fungus is so heavy it tips over onto its side, spilling out puffball spores that the young cubs love to kick around and play with." - Doctor Malcom
Great Tree Fungus - 50 Essence Points

"So named because it resembles our own Great Tree, with the thick trunk and spreading 'branches'. Some call it the fire mushroom, but I think the Tree name fits it better." - Doctor Malcom

I really like your two guides. This one and the one on the Meadow flowers. I am currently translating some guides to French, I was wondering if I could do the same for these two guides ? Thank you in advance for your answer :meadowrabbit:
