The tips listed below are sourced from achievement hunting communities within team as well as forums such as x360a and TA.

The information will be listed as follows:

# Tip

Rationale
Tips
1. Graug rush the 3 strongholds located at bottom center, northwest, northeast. Use bait that is usually located near all 3 locations to summon a Graug. Just make sure you don't waste time riding the Graug between the 3 points (after sweeping each area) ESPECIALLY if you already know where the bait is for each stronghold.

A Graug rush will most definitely save you a lot of time at the start since the captains you wipe out early with the Graug will no longer need to be identified. It's also a lot less stressful when you get the 10 beast kills done earlier rather than later (since doing later makes it harder due to dwindling numbers).

2. Shadow Strike to long range targets to traverse long distances (when applicable). Don't forget to use the killing move rather than the stun. Each full kill will give a minimum of 50 points (for regular warriors).

The reasoning here is quite simple. After using waypoints to close the gaps between your next target, you'll still to run/ride all the way to the objective. Why waste time jumping down in wraith form when you can teleport a great distance toward your objective WHILE getting at minimum 50 points for a kill?

3. Dominate (Dominate and NOT just Brand) a Warchief and command him to start a riot with another Warchief. Some people recommend Ugakuga due to his vulnerability to combat finishers and his class (Berserker). Zogur works well too if you have your bow special charged. Be warned though, he kills ALL other uruk captains/chiefs with ease due to his immense damage. You don't get points for his kills so only use against Shagflak or any other Uruk that doesn't have easily exploitable vulnerabilities. If you pit him against someone else and don't want him to steal the kills, dispatch him and his minions during the riot (maybe after he weakens the enemies).

You save A LOT of time when you create power struggles between Warchiefs. When you start a riot, you get to skip their appearance prerequisites and get straight to fighting them. You can also relocate them from a disadvantageous spot (like a stronghold for example) using riots.

4. Use the Caragath's time-slowing ability! If you shadow mount a Caragath, there's no reason why you shouldn't buy yourself some more time.

It slows down time to what feels like a third of the usual rate. This can mean the difference between success and failure (just like it would have been in my case).

5. Execute your beasts/minions after fully utilizing them. Done sweeping the bottom center stronghold? Kill your Graug and teleport to the next destination!

Minion executions (while mounted) give a decent amount of points. Graugs give 200 while Caragaths give 150. Start this as early as you can. The points are significant enough that they can determine whether or not you fail the point requirement.

6. When you Graug rush an enemy captain/chief, run them over slightly first. Afterwards, proceed to aim and feast.

You lose time when you let them do their introductions. Running the captain over a bit stops them from animating their introduction sequence. It's only a few seconds but it still amounts to something. You'll be in a much better position if you can kill them before they can chat you up.

7. Exploiting your enemy's fear (if applicable and easily doable). Is he afraid of a Caragor? Charge him then give him a good bite. Is he afraid of a Graug? Run him over.

Exploiting fear can result in a 1HKO.

8. Caragath mounted kills count towards the beast kill total. By mounted kills I mean Sword and Bow (but not explosives).

This has been tested and confirmed by people in TA. This is particularly good to know since even when you Graug Rush, there are times when you just may not find enough for 10 beast kills among the 3 strongholds.

9. Save your specials primarily for the Warchiefs and time-saving tight situations!

If you're not planning to brand a certain Warchief. Just unload on him with the appropriate special. Any chief you send against Zugor will get wiped out by his triple explosive shots when left unchecked. In order to make sure that he a) doesn't wipe out your team OR b) doesn't kill you, you'll want to use your bow special to fire unlimited special arrows at him to finish him off. Save your combat master achievement for a tight situation where you're either surrounded or facing an annoying combat-vulnerable opponent. Use your dagger special to stealth execute the only Warchief that is vulnerable to it.

10. After a riot is over, grab your victorious branded Warchief to immediately dominate and issue antoher riot command.

This saves you time from having to go through the Beck and Call mission (and lets you skip the annoying Warchief intro) thus saving you a lot of time (multiplied by 4).

11. Get at least some form of Elven Shot regeneration rune. Either by stealth/flurry kills.

A Talion with no elven shot is a weak Talion. You'll want to constantly be stocked with elven shot in order to keep earning points from shadow strike kills.

(as suggested by Vlad)
12. When facing a warchief with a bodyguard in a riot consider letting the bodyguard escape.

He'll immediately take the slain warcief's place and take bodyguards of his own from the captains not engaged in power struggles. Initiating another riot against the newly appointed warchief will cause the chosen captains to accompany him, allowing you to save time by wiping them out in a single encounter. Most riot locations have some Graug bait in the vicinity so you can also gain some easy animal kills in the process.

(as suggested by Berthordin)
13. For points, an easy way to get quite a lot is disposing of all your branded uruks right after finished riots and Your warchief's departure on a next mission. Just make sure he's already gone from your map and make some heads explode.

I just want to add that if you're going this route. You'll want to make sure that your branded warchief is already back in his beck and call mission otherwise you'll be wasting time if you accidentally kill your warchief as well. Personally I prefer to just dispatch them all after all the riots have been done but this is another way you can approach the test if you aren't too pressed for time.
Got Suggestions? Post a comment!
This is currently a very small list of tips right now but I'm taking suggestions as well as reading TA/x360a/etc in order to add to it. Your tips are a welcome addition to the guide!

i got the achievement by rioting zugor agains everyone. if there is a graug bait nearby then you should get the kill on the captain. only problem is that there arent always graug baits around.

If you're dealing with Tumhorn or Shagflak, who are immune to everything but Graug headbites, and you are unlucky enough to have the riot near the westernmost Forge Tower, where Graug bait is unavailable, Zugor can be your ace in the hole. You'll lose out on the points if his explosives kill the Warchief, but at least your whole run won't be endangered by spending 5m whittling down a single foe.

Also, I disagree completely with Vlad's suggestion (#12) to let bodyguards escape under any circumstances. A bodyguard who escapes and is promoted to Warchief is not guaranteed to get any bodyguards of his own - if this happens, you will have spent the time necessary to lure/kill a Warchief without making real progress towards completing the trial.

Zugor is extremely advantageous to Dominate, rather than kill, and should be Dominated before approaching any other Warchief. In fact, there's no need at all to gather intel on any other Warchiefs once you've uncovered Zugor, as none of the others pose a threat to him.

Despite what #3 in the guide suggests, Zugor is not uncontrollably aggressive in attacking the enemy Warchief during a riot - actually, all the friendly Warchiefs are frustratingly timid - and this gives you plenty of time to wipe the enemy mooks with an arrow barrage and then Shadow Strike into melee to deal with the enemy bodyguards.

Ya know what, I actually can't be sure that #8 was wrong, because I think I've found another issue that is leading to my monster-kill count not rising. Does it count monster-kills on Warchiefs? I think it only counts captains. Perhaps the kill on the caragath with my bow was on a Warchief, I can't remember. I figured Warchiefs would count, but now I think they don't count toward the monster-kills.
SquarelyCircle 18 Aug, 2016 @ 2:13pm
#8 is not true. I just performed a bow headshot while mounted on a Caragath, and my monster-kill count remained the same. Did the people who tested this use the sword? Maybe the sword counts, I don't know, but the bow most definitely did not.

On my 1st try I reached score 7459 and finished in 1 hour. I ate using graug only 3 captains at start, and later let a caragor eat another one. Is that good? How can I eat more captains with graug and animals? Most of them kill caragors instantly.
