How to fix the crash to desktop on DirectX 10

WARNING: DOING THE FOLLOWING STEPS WILL UNINSTALL INTERNET EXPLORER


If the steps in http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=210917941 don't work for you (they also did not work for me), follow these steps, they fixed my problem.

The crashes are caused by update KB2670838 (Windows 7). Basically, all you have to do to fix it is uninstall it.

ENGLISH
  1. Open the start menu
  2. Go to control panel
  3. Under "Programs" click "Uninstall a program"
  4. On the top left "View installed updates"
  5. After all the updates are displayed, simply search for "KB2670838" (without the quotes)
  6. Uninstall it
  7. Enjoy Bioshock 2 in DirectX 10.

Alternate way of uninstalling it
  1. Open Commandprompt (windows key + R and type cmd, or go to Start, type cmd in the search bar and press enter)
  2. In the new black window that shows up type: wusa /uninstall /kb:2670838
    This will check if the update is installed. If it is, it will uninstall it.

RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
Предупреждение: это удалит интернет эксплорер
  1. Открываем "Пуск"
  2. затем "Панель управления"
  3. "Программы и компоненты"
  4. В левом окошке выбираем "Просмотр установленных объявлений"
  5. Ждём пока загрузятся все обновления
  6. Справа в окошке поиска вводим "KB2670838" без ковычек.
  7. Удаляем её и перезагружаем компьютер.


POLISH LANGUAGE
Wyrzucanie z gry jest spowodowane aktualizacją KB2670838 (Windows 7). Jedyne co musisz zrobić to odinstalować ją.
  1. Kliknij start
  2. Otwórz panel sterowania.
  3. Pod odnośnikiem "Programy" kliknij w "Odinstaluj program"
  4. W menu po lewej stronie kliknij "Wyświetl zainstalowane aktualizacje"
  5. Gdy wszystkie aktualizacje się wyświetlą, wyszukaj "KB2670838" (bez cudzysłowu)
  6. Kliknij prawym- odinstaluj
  7. Ciesz się Bioshockiem w DirectX 10


ITALIAN LANGUAGE
  1. Apri il menù start di Windows
  2. Vai al Pannello di Controllo
  3. Nella sezione "Programmi" clicca "Disinstalla un Programma"
  4. Clicca in alto a sinistra su "Visualizza Aggiornamenti Installati"
  5. Dopo che tutti gli aggiornamenti vengono mostrati, cerca semplicemente "KB2670838" (senza
  6. virgolette) e disinstallalo
  7. Goditi Bioshock 2 con le DirectX 10.

Не помогло.Я когда попал в глубь Персефоны и авто сохранился, игра просто начала вылетать каждый раз, когда я в неё захожу.

I fixed my crashing by adjusting my primary audio device's Sample Rate to be set to 48000hz 24bits.

The OG release had issues with the sample rate too, which is what made me think to adjust it. I'm not getting any crashing anymore what so ever.

its not installed on mine it says. but still has the crashing problem

It's work. działa. wcześniej próbowałem innej "metody" z usuwaniem zapisów ale działało to tylko przez chwilę po czym znowu wyrzucało do pulpitu. a po metodzie usunięcia aktualizacji przestało wyrzucać i w końcu można pograć. Polecam :steamhappy:

а что если виндовс 10 и там такого обновления нет, а игра в длс минервы вылетает, ёпть что делать?

Rigth click exe run in comapatbility mode for 7 or xp whatever you want. done enjoy
