Roadmap
Welcome to my guide for Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. This game is a classic and I'm so happy that it has been updated to add achievements. If someone from Aspyr/EA/Disney happens across this: PLEASE UPDATE MORE STAR WARS GAMES. There are plenty of awesome back titles that deserve the treatment Kotor2 has received. Anyways, on to the achievements.

Estimated time to 100%: 35-50 hours (2 playthroughs.)

Difficulty: 3/10 (enabling easy mode doesn't void achievements and most are dialogue or alignment related anyways.)

Missable achievements: Numerous, be sure to consult the missable section above all others if you are planning on hitting 100% completion.

Online/multiplayer achievements: No online.

To minimize playthroughs, you will want to plan out each run. If you do everything right, you should manage to net all achievements in two playthroughs. Do note that the following playthroughs are just idealized suggestions: you can mix and match gender and alignment, provided you pick the alternate for your second playthrough.

Playthrough #1

For this game, you will want to focus on being a Light Side male. Play as a Guardian and ensure you unlock all of the Light Side force powers. Make all of your decisions based on what satisfies your inner Mandela and be sure to recruit the Handmaiden, as this character can only be recruited as a male (alignment isn't important.) Furthermore, you will recruit Mira as she is the grey/light side character in the limited duel between her and Hanharr. You can also choose this playthrough to go for the various miscellaneous and missable achievements, or you can save it for your second playthrough (some of them you will likely unlock anyways.)

Playthrough #2

Your second run of Kotor 2 will concentrate on being maximum bad. Spit in everyone's coffee, simultaneously wave Nazi and Confederate flags, and blow up everything you have a chance to. You will want to play as a Dark Side female character if you first played as a male in order to recruit the Disciple character. Guardian is a good class suggestion once again to ensure you can net all the Dark Side powers for the achievement. Kill all the Jedi Masters as you meet them to unlock No Jedi Can stop us. When you come to the duel, you will play as Hanharr provided you are most of the way into the dark side. After recruiting Hanharr immediately followed the steps listed under Laugh It Up, Fuzzball, as that achievement is highly missable. Make sure that you knock out what remaining missable and miscellaneous achievements you didn't complete in your first game, otherwise you will be forced to do parts of a third playthrough to get the 100%.

Note: all skills with the exception of persuade can be leveled to 30 by your non-player party members. As such you don't need to worry too heavily about these achievements as long as you are spacing out the skill specialties fairly evenly. With this in mind it is strongly advised to invest in persuade during both your runs, as several achievements on both sides of the alignment spectrum benefit from having it high level.
Storyline
These achievements will mostly unlock from playing the story, but read the achievement descriptions for more details of some that are potentially missable.

Training Wheels

Complete the Prologue

This achievement is technically missable. When you take control of T3 on the Ebon Hawk you are given the option to skip the prologue. DO NOT DO THIS. Play out the prologue as you normally would and the achievement will unlock after you set course for Peragus as T3.

It's a trap!

Get this by starting the "Trapped" quest on Korriban.

As you are making your way across Korriban, you will eventually come to the Sith Academy. You need to come here to discover the fate of one of the Jedi Masters, so this achievement cannot be missed. Immediately upon entering, a short cinematic with Darth Sion will play out, then you will regain control of your character right as the achievement pops up.

Fight Another Day

Flee Korriban After Fighting Sion

This achievement is storyline related and cannot be missed. Towards the end of your time on Korriban, you will come across a deceased Jedi master and use her datapad to unlock the door keeping you in the academy. On your way out you will fight Sion. Sion cannot be defeated as he fully heals himself after taking too many hits. After fighting for a bit, Kreia will telepathically message you and tell you to flee, no matter which of the three options you select as a response, your character runs and the achievement unlocks.

Hunger Strike

Defeat Nihilus

After beginning the endgame and repelling the attack at Telos station you will be tasked with boarding Nihilus' battleship. Complete your story objectives there, then fight him. This fight is fairly easy as you will have access to your party and should be a very high level at this stage of the game, but remember that you can lower the difficulty without voiding your achievements.

Pain Relief

Defeat Sion

After you've earned Hunger Strike, you will advance to the world of Malachor V. You can just run through most or all of this (that's what I did!) but either way once you've reached the end of the world you will fight Darth Sion. Sion is a bit tougher because you don't have the aid of your party and must defeat him four times, but remember to lower difficulty as needed and heal constantly. Players high in persuade can also select dialogue options that will lower his stats and make for an easier time.
Limited (Story Decisions)
These achievements are mutually exclusive, with one typically being the "dark side" path and the other being for light siders. While it is theoretically possible to get some of them on the same playthrough via reloading saves just before making your decision, it is recommended to just stick with one alignment or the other and not bother with reloading, as the achievements for maxing out light and dark side mandate second playthroughs regardless.

I Didn't Do It!

Let the Sith destroy the Peragus asteroids

After completing the turret section (see "Don't Get Cocky") Atton will be piloting the Ebon Hawk through the asteroid field. Here you will be given the chance to order him to continue evasive action or fire on the asteroid. Note that while this is the light side option, you can actually miss out on earning points from selecting it. Of the three dialogue choices you can select in this situation, be sure to select the one that mentions that someone may still be alive on the station- the more cut and dry response will fulfill the achievement requirements, but it will not impact alignment.

It Was Like That When I Got Here!

Destroy Peragus asteroids

This is the contrasting achievement to "I Didn't Do It!" When Atton is piloting Ebon Hawk through the asteroid field, be sure to command him to fire on the asteroids. Note that unlike the previous achievement this one has a mandatory dark side alignment shift, so you will want to save it for the appropriate playthrough (or you can reload your save file after you've watched the pre-rendered cutscene and earned the achievement.)

Nothing Personal

Side with the Mercs at Khoonda

This is the dark side outcome to Dantooine's story quests. After freeing Vrook and leaving the crystal caves, you will be approached by a gang of mercenaries proposing that you help them take Khoonda. No matter how you respond to them you will have a chance to fulfill this achievement, but I went ahead and agreed to their plan.

For what it's worth, I didn't do every sabotage opportunity, instead I simply disabled all turrets and removed the mines. I even accidentally welded the door shut and healed one of the troopers to help the settlers, so I don't think it makes a great deal of difference here provided you don't complete EVERY preparation or something.

When you are ready for the battle to start, talk to Zherron and decline his proposals for you to help with the defense. A cutscene will play out and the mercenary leader will show up and ask you to step aside so he can have his way with the administrator. Agree, and the achievement is yours.

Credit to Arganotaut for the tips on how to get this achievement.

Last Stand

Side with the settlers at Khoonda

This is the light side option for the resolution of the Dantooine storyline. No matter what you do with the mercs after you have freed Vrook and left the cave, you will still have the option to complete this achievement, however I recommend the following:

  • Lie to the leader about helping. If you don't you are in for a tough fight, and there's no penalty for being a dirty liar.
  • Return to Khoonda and do as much as you can to help the cause. Repair the patrol droids, heal the injured soldiers, fix the broken security door, and recruit the additional soldiers. If your persuade is high enough you should also give the soldiers a motivational speech before the battle.
  • Since you've made preparations, siding against the mercenaries in the dialogue after the cutscene will be simple, because you will have a LOT of help in beating them. I had so many allies that the mercenaries didn't even attack me during this battle.

After the battle you will talk to the administrator. Accept or refuse the reward, it doesn't matter, and the achievement will unlock.

Royal Protocol

Side with the Queen on Onderon

During your first trip to Onderon you will pick the outcome of this achievement, but you won't actually unlock it until much later in the game, after you've found all the Jedi masters. This achievement is the light side option, and to earn it all you must do is have a light side inclination before meeting with Mastar Kavar for the first time, or decline Tobin's offer after his men storm the cantina. Doing so will lock you on the course for this achievement, and from there all you need to do is complete the rest of the planets and play the return to Onderon quest to completion. The achievement unlocks after defeating Vaklu no matter what you decide to do with him afterwards.

Unlike the other story limited decisions I've described so far, it isn't practical to reload and earn the alternative for the Onderon storyline. Doing so would require you to finish your first trip to Onderon as the alternate Force alignment, complete any remaining planets you haven't finished, and then do the end game quests involving Dxun and Onderon, practically making it an entire additional playthrough if you did Onderon early enough.

Martial Law

Side with Vaklu on Onderon

If you are dark side or completed the sidequest A Matter of Leadership prior to triggering the meeting with Kavar, you will have the chance to unlock this achievement. Simply accept the offer proposed here by Vaklu's lieutenant, then play through the rest of the game until you return to Onderon.

If you've accepted Vaklu's offer you will fight Kavar and the Queen in the throne room. Once both are dead the achievement is yours.

Because of the time between qualifying for this achievement and actually unlocking it is so long, it is not advised to reload and earn the alternative in the same playthrough. Simply do Royal Protocol during your light side playthrough.
Limited (Party Members)
Ancient History

Recruit the Disciple

If you are playing as a female character, this achievement cannot be missed. Male characters will be unable to recruit the Disciple, and will instead recruit the Handmaiden during the Telos Academy.

To recruit the Disciple, head to Dantooine and progress through the story, making your way through the Jedi Enclave. Towards the end of the enclave, you will open a door into a large room with some shelves, a statue, and dead mercs (you need to investigate the mercs to advance the main quest.) Entering this room instantly triggers a conversation with the Disciple, and no matter how you interact with him once the conversation concludes he will join your party.

Orphan White

Recruit the Handmaiden

When playing as a male character, you will unlock the Handmaiden after leaving Telos Academy and seeing the recording of your trial. The achievement should unlock immediately after this. Female characters are unable to recruit the Handmaiden and will instead get the Disciple.

Breaking the Oath

Teach the Handmaiden the ways of the Force

You must be playing as a male character to unlock this achievement. Given the amount of influence you will need for this, it isn't a bad idea to take her along with you some times and do things that improve her standing (giving the passports to the light side people on Onderon is a good start.) Training the Handmaiden in the ways of the Force is a three step process:

First, beat her in the training she offers aboard the Ebon Hawk. You will have three fights, with the last becoming available after you've reached level 18.

Next, ask Kreia about Handmaiden's mother to learn her secret Force Sensitive ancestry. Return to the Handmaiden with this information and pass an influence check.

Finally, select the training option for a fourth time, and propose that she could learn something from you. You will have to pass another influence check but if you do she becomes a Jedi and you get the achievement.

Lost Girl

Recruit Mira

While progressing through the Nar Shadaa main story, you will occassionally see interactions between the bounty hunter characters Mira and Hanharr. Some scenes play out slightly differently depending on your alignment, but the true test comes when Visquis pits Mira and Hanharr against one another.

Light and grey Jedi will take control of Mira, while dark Jedi will command Hanharr. Win the duel and play out the next few story beats. The achievement for recruiting Mira should unlock after her conversation with Atton, when they are planning a way to infiltrate Goto's yacht.

For light side players this achievement is unmissable, dark side players will need a second playthrough.

The Walking Carpet

Recruit Hanharr

Players with dark side tendencies will play as Hanharr during the duel on Nar Shaddaa. As long as you've been consistently evil up to that point, you will end up taking control of him. It is strongly advised that players seeking to recruit Hanharr do so immediately after Telos, in order to also earn Laugh It Up, Fuzzball in the same run.

As with Mira's achievement, this won't unlock until after the dialogue with Atton prior to the yacht raid, so don't worry when this doesn't unlock during or after the duel.

Laugh It Up, Fuzzball

Break Hanharr's spirit

To earn this achievement it is preferred that you go to Nar Shadaa immediately after leaving Telos, however following the methods listed below will easily unlock the achievement at any time regardless of what else you've done. Be sure to leave at least one planet after Nar Shadaa because otherwise Kreia will push you to go to Dantooine and you won't be able to get the dialogue strand that unlocks the achievement.

First, after you've talked to and or/killed the Nar Shadaa Jedi, bring Hanharr into your party and no one else. Travel with him to the Docks zone and kill both Lootra and Lavassou in their homes. This provides an influence gain for Hanharr, and was the only non-conversational gain I did when I got this.

Next, select "I heard you hunt humans" from among his dialogue options, and follow through selecting the first option each time until the choice "But still you serve me, as a slave should. You know your place" becomes available.

If you have persuade skills above 10 and awareness of above 12 you should next talk to him about Mira. For me the influence check for this conversation failed, but you actually gain more influence from it if you pass the skills requisites and can ask him about it that way. For the awareness check select the dialogue "And you were angry at her weakness - and rightfully so" while the persuade check requires "If Mira spared your life, it was more likely to humilate you before others than mercy."

After this, ask him why he wears shackles, once again continue through with the first dialogue option each time until you can select "Perhaps you are weak in that you allowed the shackles to be placed at all." He will continue with the conversation and from the remaining choices you should choose "You lessen an act of slaughter by thinking it was salvation" and "What you did to your people was madness - yet there was strength in it."

At this point you should have enough influence for him to ask you about your efforts in the Mandalorian Wars. Respond with "If you think such deaths bother me, they do not" for even more influence gain.

Next, talk to Kreia about Hanharr, and she will give you the task of discovering his source of strength. Return to Hanharr and ask him this question. Continue with this conversation however you like, and at the end of it ask him "Why do you follow me?" From there select "Does this mean you serve me?," and "the debt you mentioned..." then follow through the remaining first dialogue options until his spirit breaks and he gains some attribute bonuses, unlocking the achievement in the process.

Limited (Alignment)
Larger World

Get your first Light Side points

This achievement can first be unlocked at the same location as Starting Down the Dark Path. Work through your dialogue with Kreia in the morgue until you have the two parting responses to choose from. Select "I'll return soon to make sure you're all right" for the light side boost and your achievement. As with getting your first dark side points, this achievement is perfectly acceptable to do during an evil playthrough as you will have more than enough chances to reach maximum evil alignment, or you could just save and reload after you make a light side action.

If you are having trouble earning this achievement, make sure your tutorial messages are on. Thanks to ArchonPaw for the tip and Jack Spekk for confirming it.

Starting Down The Dark Path

Get your first Dark Side points

This can be unlocked during your first conversation with Kreia in the morgue. Proceed through the dialogues until you are given two options to end the conversation with. Select "Just stay out of my way, or you'll end up like those corpses over there" for a small dark side boost. You can go ahead and get this on a light side playthrough- there are more than enough other chances throughout the game to reach maximum good alignment, or you can always simply reload a previous save before doing something bad.

If you are having trouble earning this achievement, make sure your tutorial messages are on. Thanks to ArchonPaw for the tip and Jack Spekk for confirming it.

Luminous Beings

Reach maximum Light Side points

This achievement requires nothing more than persistance and time played. Make an effort to be kind to everyone, decline rewards for completing quests, and pick the Light Side options for the resolution to the story quests. Don't fret if you pick up a few dark side points along the way- I did just that and I was still able to unlock the achievement before the end of my third planet.

The achievement should trigger the second you hit maximum alignment and earn the attribute boost. I got it halfway through a random conversation.

If You Only Knew

Reach maximum Dark Side points

As with Luminous Beings, you're just going to want to play through the game sticking to one alignment path. Don't worry if you need to earn a few light side points for one of the party member achievements or something (repairing T3 will require a few light side interactions with him, for instance) as there are more than enough chances to earn this throughout the game.

The achievement will unlock no matter what you are doing when you finally hit maximum alignment.

I Am A Jedi

Acquire all Light Side Powers

To earn this achievement, I only needed to unlock all of the base Light Side powers, attainable during any level up. The two powers unique to Jedi Master prestige class don't seem to be required, as I unlocked the achievement during a Weapons Master run.

You will need all of the following:

Heal -> Improved Heal -> Master Heal
Force Aura-> Force Shield -> Force Armor
Force Valor-> Knight Valor -> Master Valor
Force Barrier-> Improved Force Barrier-> Master Force Barrier
Revitalize -> Improved Revitalize -> Master Revitalize
Stun-> Stasis -> Stasis Field
Stun Droid -> Disable Droid -> Destroy Droid

Here's a picture with the appropriate skills highlighted during a level up:

You will also need the final power given on Dantooine.

Unlimited Power

Acquire all Dark Side Powers

As with the light side powers, you need to obtain all general powers + any specific to your prestige class.

You will need all of the following powers:

Wound -> Choke -> Kill
Slow -> Affliction -> Plague
Fear-> Horror-> Insanity
Shock-> Force Lightning -> Force Storm
Drain Life-> Death Field
(if Sith Lord) Crush Opposition 1-5
(if Marauder) Fury 1-3
(if Assassin) Force Camoflague -> Improved Force Camoflague -> Master Force Camoflague
Drain Force-> Improved Drain Force -> Master Drain Force
Force Scream -> Improved Force Scream -> Master Force Scream

Here is a picture with the appropriate skills for a Sith Lord highlighted:

You will also need the final power given on Dantooine.

No Jedi can stop us

Kill all the Jedi masters

To unlock this achievement, you will need to kill all 3 Jedi you are meant to save. Naturally, you should only be attempting this achievement as a dark sider, as the fight options are only available if you have bad alignment.

The fights can be quite difficult, especially early on, and therefore we should prioritize delaying them as long as possible.

To make the fights as easy as possible, I advise the following planet order: Korriban OR Onderon (make sure you are already a bit on the dark side for Onderon though so you will have the chance to work with the military against the Queen) followed by whichever of those two you didn't choose first, then Nar Shaddaa, and finally Dantooine. Remember that you can lower the difficulty with no penalty if you are having trouble.

You will need to kill the Jedi protecting the Queen during the Onderon end game sequence, and finally the achievement unlocks when you are told to convene at the Jedi Temple on Dantooine towards the end of the game. Kreia will lecture you for killing them all (even though she was going to do it anyway,) and the achievement will unlock.

Seeker

Complete the game on the Light SIde

A rather self explanatory achievement awarded after defeating Kreia on Malachor V. You will have a short dialogue with her, then the achievement unlocks as soon as the game ends. You don't need to be maximum light side to earn this. The choices you make during the finale do not impact whether or not you will earn this achievement.

Destiny Dominated

Complete the game on the Dark Side

After defeating Kreia to win the game, this achievement will unlock provided you have even slight dark side alignment. It is not required to have maxed out your alignment to earn this, but it is strongly recommended that you do so to fulfill If You Only Knew and prevent a second dark side playthrough.

The Sith Lord

Have your character replace any of the Sith Lords on the main menu screen.

If you've earned Destiny Dominated and If You Only Knew, there's no way to miss this one. Simply beat the game as a dark side character and your player should replace Sion/Nihilus in the menu screen. If you have previously beaten the game with a dark side player but are currently playing with a light side, then your character may have been pushed off the menu screen. If this has happened just reload your last dark side save and it should fix it.

If the achievement doesn't unlock immediately after you've seen your character in the menu, exit out of the game and open it again.
Missable (General)
These achievements can be done on any playthrough, but can be missed if you aren't actively trying for them, due to limited availability windows or other factors.

Your Eyes Can Deceive You

Learn Force Sight

This achievement requires that you recruit Visas. To do this, simply earn moderate to high dark or light side alignment then return to the Ebon Hawk. Beat her in a duel and she joins your party. Next, you will want to talk to her. Gaining influence with her is easy, and you can earn all you need for this achievement during your initial talks with her. I'm not sure how it's done for dark siders but she is very receptive to the light side dialogues: treat her like a person, tell her Nihilus was wrong for how he treated her, pick options that emphasize her talents and worth as a being. After you've earned enough influence, ask the question involving how she sees. If you pass the influence checks she will teach you Force Sight and you will earn the achievement.

Important: Do not fail to influence Visas in any other dialogue, and save before attempting to have her teach Force Sight. Failing the influence check will permanently lock the achievement for that playthrough. The restored content mod apparently fixes this bug by allowing you to try the dialogue again if you failed the check a first time.

Lost In Your Work

Learn Moving Meditation

To earn this achievement, you will need a high amount of influence with T3-M4 and great repair and computer use skills.

The skills part is simple. I advise playing as a sentinel, using your first feat to unlock the cross-class repair skill. Simply progress through the game allocating points in these two skills to ensure you don't miss the achievement. When I unlocked this achievement I was sitting at 22 computer use and 21 repair.

As for influencing T3, this is again fairly simple though you will earn light side points from doing it. There's no need to drag him around in your party, just be nice and appreciative when you meet him on Peragus and Telos, and strike up a few of the optional conversations about Bastila and Revan.

Once you gain enough influence you can begin the repair process. If you already clear the maximum threshold for both repair and computer use, and pass all the influence checks, you can do this in one sitting very easily. Just keep clicking through the new options for both repair and computer use. The achievement unlocks once T3 has been modified using the combined repair/computer use option.

Over Achiever

Reach Player Level 30

The best way to complete this achievement is to just be the biggest completionist you can possibly be. Finish every quest, kill every mob, and do all of the sidequests as soon as possible. It's going to be a close call no matter what, but finishing as much of the game as you can ensures that you should manage to reach level 30 before defeating Traya at the end.

Kreia will boost XP gained when you have her in your party. As much as I don't like her, it's probably a good idea to lean heavily on this during your grinding.

If you find yourself late in the game and just a few thousand points shy of level 30, you can also use a mine exploit. Place all of your mines in one area, preferably very close to another zone. Go into the next zone (as long as you get a loading screen you are good,) then turn around and return. The mines are now marked as enemy, and recovering them will earn you around 100 xp per mine. Not ideal, but if you are desperate this option is better than a 2nd playthrough.

I hate everything about you

Reduce a companion's Influence to zero.

A great way to earn this achievement is to take a light side character (Handmaiden or Atton especially) and make the rounds killing optional characters and being a jerk. Nar Shaddaa is a great place for this as you can kill the two people in the flophouse (see my guide for Laugh it up, Fuzzball for more specifics about that,) and be mean to all the beggars and other various scripted encounters. If you are trying to play light side or haven't unlocked Breaking the Oath for training Handmaiden to be a Jedi yet, you may want to save first and reload once you've earned the achievement.

Another good way to get a big influence drop from the Handmaiden is to antagonize her when she complains about Visas. This will cause her to stop speaking to you, and a massive (though not infinite) influence drop that SHOULD take her to 0. You will want to make sure she has a bit of animosity before trying this, however, as if she stops speaking to you but didn't hit influence zero you probably wont be able to get her down the rest of the way.
Missable (Planet Specific)
These achievements can be done on any playthrough, but can be missed if you aren't actively trying for them, due to limited availability windows or other factors.

Don't Get Cocky

Kill all Sith troopers before they can board the Ebon Hawk

At the end of your time on Peragus, you will be tasked with using Ebon Hawk's cannons while you prepare to make your escape. Save before you enter your ship. This is an easy, yet highly missable achievement. Use the turret to shoot the Sith in the hangar as they make their way towards your entrance ramp. If you have to fight Sith after this section, you've failed the achievement requirements and should reload your save.

Here's a short video of me earning the acheivement,as long as you transition immediately from the turret to Atton saying "Let's get out of here," the achievement will unlock. Make use of the turrets unlimited charge and remember that there is only one access ramp that you need to worry about- the achievement shouldn't take more than a try or two.

Do note that you may want to reload your save after earning the achievement; you only earn experience points for killing the Sith if you kill them onboard the ship, so for your long term character development the extra experience definitely helps, though it is far from essential.

The First Rule...

Complete the Handmaiden Battle Circle

This achievement is highly missable. After you have met with Atris, you will be free to roam the frozen academy under Telos' poles. Talk to any random handmaiden to begin the fighting arena. This isn't a duel to the death, but to conserve resources and time you will probably want to win each fight in one try and save between rounds. *If you leave Telos before completeing this achievement, you will not be able to get it during your current playthrough.*

The first three fights are fairly simple, you face one handmaiden by yourself, limited at first to unarmed, then melee, then no restrictions. Your fourth fight pits you against two handmaidens. Again, it isn't too difficult and if you use the mandalorian melee shield and try to keep one of them stunned it's likely you won't take much damage at all.

Even if you haven't taken my advice on saving in between fights, *SAVE before you start the fifth and final fight.* If you fail, unlike the other fights you cannot ask for a rematch. They brush you off and the achievement locks for that playthrough, unless you reload your save.

The fifth fight is the tough one. Here you are tasked with fighting 5 enemies by yourself. There are many different strategies based on how you've built your character so far, so I will just list some general tips, and what I did to get it.
  • Force Push is great for knocking enemies off the mat. If they go off the mat, they are instantly disqualifed. If you go off the mat, you face disqualification as well but it shouldn't be a problem as they have no knockback abilities.
  • Force Lighting for dark side users is a fantastic AOE that will deal with them rather quickly.
  • The retinal implant that provides immunity to critical hits is great for this fight- the handmaidens score crits on you constantly and without this you will have a hard time even on easy mode.

If you've used more resources than you think the reward is worth (750 xp and nothing else) it wouldn't be a bad idea to reload after you've unlocked the achievement.

Note: This game does NOT have difficulty related achievements, and lowering the difficulty does NOT disable achievements. Feel free to set it to easy if you are having trouble with this- it is a difficult fight!

The Second Rule...

Complete the Mandalorian Battle Circle

On Dxun in the Mandalorian encampment, you will find a small battle circle in the northern portion of the base. Here you can speak to a sergeant to arrange duels with various members of the camp. Compared to the Handmaiden Battle Circle this achievement is an absolute walk in the park, but do be aware that it is missable. Save before each fight and ensure that you don't violate the rules dictated by your opponents - two violations and the quest ends and the achievement locks for your current playthrough.

The first three fights can be done at any time. Talk to the sergeant and arrange the unarmed fights (once you will get to pick your own terms, I would pick the no rules option just for something different.) The next fight requires you to complete the Mandalorian scout quest. I circled his location on the map of the Dxun jungle:

Simply walk around the loop where you meet the scout and defeat the two groups of enemies, then return to the scout's location and he will go back to the Mandalorian encampment. Once he returns you can fight and defeat him (blade only, no Force powers or items,) and then challenge the champion. The champion is a complete pushover and doesn't even use a weapon, but once you beat him the achievement will unlock.

Short Circuit

Install HK-47's unique module

This achievement requires that you have HK-47 in your party. See "Unadulterated Violence" for more information about recruiting him. Important: if you plan on utilizing HK as a party member, or just interacting with him on the Ebon Hawk, you must be careful not to tell him to stop asking you if he can kill something. Doing this will prevent you from earning the achievement.

Firstly and most importantly, you must side with Geeda during the Trade War sidequest on Nar Shadaa. This quest is entirely dialogue, so just be sure and take her side when Oondar gets fed up and asks you which merchant you want to help. Siding with Geeda confers a light side alignment bonus, but it isn't much and can easily be negated during a dark side playthrough if you'd prefer.

Next, you must entirely finish the story missions of both Onderon and Dantooine. It doesn't seem to matter how either is resolved, only that they are completed. After you've succeeded with this, you'll want to talk to Geeda and tell her to initiate trade with both worlds. You can talk to Geeda after one has been completed for some new items, but the item we want is the HK-47 Pacifist Package and that only unlocks after she has established trade routes to both planets. Purchase the item from her, then talk to HK and tell him you have a new upgrade for him. Go through the dialogue and at the end of it your achievement will unlock. In addition to the achievement, HK gets permanent attribute bonuses and you get 500 xp.

Finders Keepers

Claim Darth Nihilus' mask

You must have Visas in your party to earn this achievement. After the Nihilus boss fight (see Hunger Strike for more info,) Visas will ask your permission to look at Nihilus' corpse. Choose the option that grants her permission AND requests that she bring his mask to you, and the achievement is yours.
Miscellaneous (General)
The remaining achievements can be done at practically any time in any playthrough.

In It For The Money

Collect 10,000 credits

A very simple achievement to do once you gain your freedom on Telos and have access to a vendor. Immediately after getting your inventory items back from the jailer droid, go to the Duros merchants in the eastern part of that same area. Save before interacting with them. Next, offload every item you have in your inventory, and you should clear 10,000 with no difficulty. This will be a tough achievement for you not to get at some point during your playthrough, and if you find yourself getting towards the point of no return you should be able to get it by repeating the above method on any vendor you come across- your inventory is quite valuable unless you have badly mismanaged your game.

Never Tell Me The Odds

Win a game of Pazaak with a full board

This is a lot easier than it sounds. You can get it from the same place where I advised getting "In It For The Money." The Duros merchant closer to the door will sell you Pazaak cards. Buy all of his negative modifier cards, then exit the shop and go to the cantina next door. Directly inside the entrance is a dark skinned woman who will play Pazaak with you. Before you play her, buy all of her cards, especially her +/- and negative modifiers.

For the game itself, select as many +/- cards as you can (useful for adding points at the end of the game- don't use them until your final card or two!) and fill out the rest of your deck with negative modifying cards. It is very important that you immediately start using your negative modifiers. Since you can only play 1 card per turn, waiting too long to start can cripple your chances of winning. Don't worry about the remaining rounds of the game, as it is enough to win 1 set to earn the achievement. Hopefully by the time you reach your 9th and final card, you are like me and have a +/- card that can put you over the top and beat your opponent. It only took two tries for me to unlock the achievement, but there is a luck based element and it shouldn't discourage you if it ends up taking 5-10.

An Elegant Weapon

Construct your first Lightsaber

This achievement is story-related, but it is possible to go the entire game without crafting your lightsaber so it earns a designation of miscellaneous. You will need several parts plus a lightsaber crystal to unlock this achievement.

You will earn one part from resolving the Czerka/Ithorian dispute, the rest will come during the main quests of the next planet you visit. There's not really any point in providing a guide to where these turn up, just keep progressing in the story and you will have the parts eventually. I chose Dantooine as my first planet so I could also grab the named crystal and some colour/upgrade shards.

Once you have the parts, return to the Ebon Hawk and talk to Bao-Dur. He will help you craft your lightsaber and when he finishes the achievement is yours.

A Certain Set of Skills

Gain a Prestige class

This achievement requires you to reach level 15 in the class you started the game with. Once you've done that, simply talk to Kreia and select one of the three new classes she mentions. Regardless of which one you select, the achievement will unlock.

Technically you aren't required to unlock these, as you need to talk to Kreia after reaching 15 and have moderate alignment with either side of the Force, but they aren't really missable either. You should hit 15 fairly early on and unless you are deliberately playing as a grey Jedi you will easily clear the alignment minimum.

Miscellaneous (Party Members)
These achievements can be unlocked during any playthrough.

Unadulterated Violence

Repair the damaged droid aboard the Ebon Hawk

Inside a locked door in the center of the Ebon Hawk is HK-47, a party member from the previous game. To gain him as a party member in this game, you will need to find four components and install them. The parts are found throughout the game in multiple locations, and can even be bought from vendors in some instances, but generally anytime you fight an HK-50 be sure to loot them because they are almost certain to have a part.

For what it's worth, here's where I got the four parts I needed:

  • Vocabulator - The HK fight prior to getting onboard the Republic cruiser on Peragus.
  • Control Cluster - Fighting HKs atop the snow mountain on Telos
  • Droid Processor - Kodin, the Aqualish merchant in the central hub area on Nar Shadaa
  • Chassis - As part of the Nar Shadaa main quest you will control only T3 as he infiltrates a warehouse. At the end of this warehouse scene you will fight HKs, one of whom will drop this part.
The achievement will unlock as soon as you've returned to HK and installed the fourth part.

This achievement is a pre-requisite for the "The Gang's All Here" "Cupid's Rifle," and "Short Circuit" achievements.

Cupid's Rifle

Listen to HK-47's definiton of love.

At any point after recruiting HK-47 for the Unadulterated Violence achievement, and after you've heard a fight between Visas and the Handmaiden (if male) or the Disciple and Atton (if female,) you can initiate conversation and ask him what he believes love to be. He will have a not particularly romantic response, and during this speech the achievement will unlock.

*You may be able to unlock this achievement without the fight if you have a high enough influence with HK. There doesn't seem to be an influence requirement if you have heard the fight, however.*

Assassination Protocol: Active

Learn how to kill Jedi from HK-47

First you must have a very high influence with HK. You gain influence with HK by killing people and being cruel. Once your influence is close to maximum, you will have the option to ask "If I need to kill a Jedi, how would I do it?" Pass the influence check and the achievement is yours.

Note: If the initial dialogue option isn't working for you, make sure you have progressed through Korriban first. The official strategy guide lists completing Korriban as a requirement for unlocking this conversation, but I can't confirm because my dark side character only unlocked HK after Korriban.

You ARE the droid I'm looking for

Deduce G0-T0's identity

To unlock this achievement, you must have sufficent influence to ask G0-T0 about his criminal operations. A quick way to do this is to ask him about how you should save the Republic, work your way through the dialogue, and finish with "If I have to kill everyone to do it, you'll get your stability." You can also ask what kind of skills the droid has, then compliment him for another gain.

At any rate, after you've asked him about his criminal operations you will have the chance to bring up some of the strange droid-related situations on Nar Shaddaa. You will need at least 3 of the following incidents:

-Investigate the droid Pazaak player and discover its hidden memory module.

-Talk to Borna Lys (the female Twi'lek) in the swoop racers longue to learn about the droid who is cheating at swoop racing.

- Do the Bith scientist quest in the flophouse.

-Ask T3 how he managed to get the codes to G0-T0's yacht for a pertinent story

-Mention that G0-T0's droids weren't working in the Jekk'Jekk Tarr (this information is storyline related and cannot be missed, as far as I know.)

The more information you bring to G0-T0, the more experience you get, and the easier it is to pass the influence check regarding "I think you used droids in your operations because you are a droid." You may need to select "A lot of your operations on Nar Shaddaa were carried out by droids" a couple times first.

During the expository back and forth after passing the influence check, the achievement should unlock.

Lillicoder adds:

"I didn't get the achievement the first time I did the dialog conversation even though I found enough clues and had a high influence with G0-T0. I had to specifically select the line that was "So you were the droid for Citadel station". As soon as I chose that line the achievement popped."

The Gang's All Here

Fill the Party Selection Screen

You will unlock all but two of the ten characters required just by playing the story. It doesn't matter which of the limited characters you earn, just that you unlock Visas and HK in addition to your story-related characters. Visas will be unlocked once you earn enough alignment points in either direction and duel her on the Ebon Hawk, while unlocking HK requires completing a small scavenger hunt (see the Unadulterated Violence achievement for more details.) The achievement unlocks as soon as your tenth character has joined the party.
Miscellaneous (Planet Specific)
Dancing Queen

Dance for Vogga

You can get this achievement as either gender. Inside the cantina on Nar Shaddaa, take a right from where you walk in. In this section of the bar, you will see a Twi'lek to the left of the entryway. Approach him about dancing for Vogga, enlist yourself (or the Handmaiden/Mira if you are male,) and the achievement unlocks after the ensuing cutscene.

Thanks to 3xA'Lucky for confirming the player character doesn't have to be used to unlock this achievement.

Cheater

Convince the "champ" to lose the game without playing.

This is one of the easiest achievements in the update. Follow my guide for Pure Pazaak and you will unlock both achievements without having to play a single hand.

Pure Pazaak

Beat the champ on Nar Shadaa

If you are terrible at Pazaak, or you simply don't want to spent the money it takes to get decent cards, fear not as every pazaak player can be convinced to lose without playing a hand. Before entering the pazaak den on Nar Shaddaa (get the password from the Chadra-Fan to the right of the cantina entrance) make sure you have Atton and T3 in your party. You will then be tasked with playing 3 players.

Duros: Talk to him and mention his 'friends' waiting outside the cantina. You have to pass a persuade check but it seems to be a fairly easy one, and if you do he will walk outside and get beat up. This will provide a minor amount of dark side points.

Twi'lek: If you have Atton in your party, he will play her in your stead and automatically win.

Droid: If you have high computer or repair skills you can do this one on your own. If not, bring T3 along and after the droid has told you about her gambling addiction suggest that "your friend" look at it. Another dialogue will ensue, at the end of which you should choose the non-repair/computer option about whether she minds. This will clear her programming error and she will retire from Pazaak.

After you have dispatched the three players, the Champ will appear. The Champ, like the other contestants, can be beaten without a single hand of Pazaak. Simply ask who he is, then go through the dialogue options asking him why he plays if he always wins. Eventually you will be able to attempt a persuade check that, if successful, will prompt him to intentionally throw the game against you.

Pet Rock

Find the named lightsaber crystal

When you enter the crystal caves on Dantooine as part of the main quest, you will want to head as far north and east in the caves as you can. Here Kreia talks to you and a small cinematic occurs. Defeat the mobs that spawn, then loot the central glowing crystal for "(Your name here)'s Crystal." Kreia will once again talk to you (you don't need her in your group, she will communicate telepathically if she's still on the Ebon Hawk) and to ensure you get the achievement you should respond with the dialogue option that mentions a pet rock, though it still unlocked for myself and some others even though we selected other responses.

Here it is circled on the map of the caves:

If you don't get the crystal during your first trip to Dantooine, you should have no problems returning to the cave and finding it later, so this isn't a missable achievement.

Grave Robber

Loot a body on Korriban

A very simple achievement. Travel to Korriban and step outside the Ebon Hawk. Just ahead and to the left of where you spawn are a few bodies. Kreia will warn you not to disturb them but go ahead and do it anyways. The Sith spirits will be disturbed and you will have to fight a pack of Hssiss, but it isn't even required to beat them because the achievement pops instantly after looting the body.

Here's the location:

Hutt Oil

Convince Vogga the Hutt to sell fuel to Telos

A lot simpler than it sounds. Speak to Vogga at any point prior to being captured by Go-To about the fuel situation on Telos. He agrees to do business with them provided you eliminate Go-To's blockade on Nar Shaddaa. Simply play through the main quest for Nar Shaddaa, and after you've destroyed Go-To's yacht, return to Vogga. He agrees to ship fuel to Telos and the achievement unlocks. I forgot to initiate this quest pre-yacht and I was still able to complete the achievement by speaking to Vogga with Go-To in my party.
Skills
This task sounds daunting, but all of these achievements (save for Talk Them to Death) can be done by leveling one of your teammates to the appropriate threshold. You do not need to reach 30 on every skill with your main character.

Two skills don't have an achievement: Awareness and Security. In spite of this I advise making sure you have at least a few characters with those skills. They come in very handy in some situations and you will have no shortage of eligible characters.

*Important*: Don't auto-level if you are trying to get these. Most often auto leveling will dump points into the character's lowest class skill, which can thwart your attempts to get a given skill to 30.

Since the method to obtain these is universal and not terribly difficult as long as you are paying attention, I'll just outline some basics + how to hypothetically get the achievements on your main character in this section.

Talk Them to Death

Have Persuasion over 30.

It's easier if you invest in charisma and purchase the Empathy feats to get a bit of an extra boost, but I got it even as a Jedi Guardian/Weapons Master with only moderate Charisma. Just keep pumping points into persuade each time you level and you'll almost certainly get it before the end of the game. Temporary bonuses such as those provided by articles of clothing (Regal Headgear and the Jal Shey robes for example) do count towards your total, so be sure to have some handy if you need a last push to clear the achievement.

This is the only one you actually need to get on your main character, and also the only one obtainable via bonuses.

I've Seen How You Use A Hydrospanner

Have 30 points in Repair.

Repair can be improved using the Gear Head series of feats (+3 bonus once maxed.) Make sure you have an NPC dedicated to leveling up this skill, and you should be able to earn it at ~level 28. I used Go-To for this one.

Bonuses from high intelligence or gear do NOT count towards this achievement. Your base skill must read 30.

We Have to Hack Into the Mainframe!

Have 30 points in Computer Use.

Computer Use can be improved by up to +3 using the Gear Head feat. As with Repair, I used Go-To as my designated computer use companion because I don't ever use him for anything else.

Bonuses from high intelligence or gear do NOT count towards this achievement. Your base skill must read 30.

Silent, but Deadly

Have 30 points in Stealth.

Stealth is a skill for sentinels only, but if you don't want to invest in stealth for your main, then Atton would make a sensible alternative. Caution provides up to a +3 boost to Stealth.

Bonuses from high intelligence or gear do NOT count towards this achievement. Your base skill must read 30.

Trust Me, I'm a Doctor

Have 30 points in Treat Injury.

Empathy provides a +3 boost to Treat Injury, and a wide variety of characters (plus all three starting player classes) have access to it. I used Mira to get this one.

Bonuses from high intelligence or gear do NOT count towards this achievement. Your base skill must read 30.

Let's Blow This Place!

Have 30 points in Demolitions.

Caution provides a +3 boost to Demolitions. I also used Go-To for this after purchasing his cross-class feat, but you could use Hanharr or HK instead.

Bonuses from high intelligence or gear do NOT count towards this achievement. Your base skill must read 30.

for the earn all dark side powers achievement, you should in all caps not recommend the 3sith lord choice as to reach its max level power you need to be level 32 which makes earning the achievement almost impossible. Please make note of that in your guide

I was wondering. If you kill one Master but spare the others then you are forced to kill the remaining ones in the end game anyway...but this will you NOT give the achievment for killing all the Jedi? They must be killed the moment you have to opportuniuty for 1v1 duel?

Getting the dialog options with HK-47 does not specifically require completing Korriban. They require high influence with HK-47 and you dont have many opportunities to do that. Same with Hanharr and G0-T0. You will probably need at least two playthrus to make it happen. Which you need anyway for some of the other achievements.
