SteamNext Fest Update

Hello everyone

A new update is now live just in time for Steam Next Fest. This patch focuses on improving control customization, accessibility, and overall player experience. Here is what has changed:

Key Rebinding Override

Players can now fully rebind inputs across keyboard, mouse, and controller. Used keys can be overridden freely to fit any playstyle

Controller Support Improvements

Players can now sprint by pressing the joystick button such as L3
A new left-handed mode has been added allowing players to swap the functions of movement and camera joysticks

Crash Fix

Resolved an issue where certain party members could experience a crash when returning to the main menu

Lighting and Visual Update

Improved map visuals with updated moody lighting for a more atmospheric experience

Translation Corrections

Adjusted and corrected translation errors in several supported languages

Performance Optimization

Made general improvements to performance and stability

Bug Fixes

Addressed various minor bugs reported by players
Fixed issues related to AI pathfinding behavior, improving movement reliability and navigation consistency

Demo Update is Live!

Hey everyone,

We’ve just released an update to the demo with several improvements based on your feedback. Here’s what’s new:

Update Highlights:

The Field of View slider now offers a wider range to better suit different player preferences.
Some players had difficulty locating small key objects due to the medium-to-large map size. If you take too long to find an important object, a ping marker will now appear to help guide you.
Stalkers now have an additional new behavior that gives players brief moments to breathe while enhancing the overall tension and creepiness.
The diner area has been reworked to be more lore-accurate and atmospheric. It plays a key role in puzzle progression for the full game, so this gives you a preview of what’s to come.
Various small adjustments have been made to enhance the overall experience.

Coming in the Next Update:

We’re adding support for multiple languages to make the game more accessible.
Rebinding controls will override previously used keys instead of locking them out, making customization more intuitive.
Additional changes and fixes are on the way based on your continued feedback.

Matchmaking will be available at release

Edit: Changed title, left original comment in light of dev reply below. --- Why even release a demo for a coop game if there's no in game functionality to join someone's game? This is the third game of this genre featured on the Steam Demo event that I've tried and found out there was no matchmaking. Do you expect people to convince other friends to try the game with the player just so they can actually try the demo? And single player feels like a slog because it's clearly balanced around a coop experi...
