A really wonderful combination of multiple genres and a great entry for players who might have bounced off of more punishing deckbuilders like slay the spire. I would say don't expect the game to be too challenging if you do A20 heart kills, but what it has in spades is atmosphere, from the visuals to sound design.

Even if I didn't find it too hard, I did find it very fun, and I expect to come back to it as a sort of cozy strategy game many times.

it's been a couple months but between the remarkable write up and interviews Matt Lowne did, the revelation of the state of the KSP2 codebase by former employees, and lack of any action or comment by the publisher, it is safe to call this abandonware.

It is unoptimized, feature incomplete, persists with several massive bugs, and will receive virtually no modding support.

IF the game runs, I think it was well worth the sale price of $7. Probably any sale $15 or under.

However, that is a big IF. The steam->ea cross link is bugging at the best of times and many people, myself included, need to fight just to get a game launch here or there. I won't bore you with details, but if you think of it, trust me, I've tried it. No joy.

A good indie developer backed by a very small publisher dedicated to the genre. With multiple successful releases under both.

Honestly feels like rewinding 8 years back to when early access was for exactly this, indie devs getting a financial lifeline and important feedback and testing.

The game is certainly niche and not for everyone. But for those that like it, I expect you will truly enjoy it.

Helldivers is a game about community, and that community is now being shattered due to corporate greed for my data excluding players from all around the world without PSN access.

So in the spirit of helldivers, I'm standing with those who've stood with me, refusing this encroachment on my privacy, submitting my refund, and moving on from this fantastic game, with fantastic devs, and a terrible publisher.

Thankfully, collective action works and the publisher took the L. This time.

Utopia *is* the stellaris endgame foundation. From megastructures to ascensions, your game will feel empty past 2300 if you are playing without it.

The definitive digital space tabletop. Fully functional as a single player experience, but one of the best games I have ever played with friends. And to enable this, your friends only need the base game to play with your DLC.

A fully functional RPG and narrative experience with expansive empire customization. Also one of the last active RTS games if you choose to play it that way. Stellaris is that game with something for everyone.

And if you like spread sheets, it borders on NC-17.

I see a lot of people downvoting the DLC based on the price and content. I think that it is critical to remind them that Stellaris continues to have development, and that development, including the free patches, is funded by people buying DLC like this one.

Is it a bit thin? Certainly. But I liked what they did with the free update, and it has a few fun stories, so I saw 3.7 as a full package and chose to pay the devs for their effort. It's a story pack, feel free to wait for a core DLC for more "value" if cost is a major concern.

Friends bought this to troll me as the token ace guy.

I unironically found myself wishing it didn't have porn as the theme because I enjoyed the gameplay.

10/10 wouldn't fap again.
