lazy and greedy company, broken game

I moved to Brazil because of this game... it turns out the entire game is lore accurate.

Thymesia is a hidden gem of a souls-like game, and I had a really good time playing it for the most part. It excels at having interesting and fun combat mechanics, visually and mechanically well made levels, an intriguing story, and challenging but fair boss fights. My only major complaint is that some of the completionist stuff is extremely tedious, such as getting all of the endings where you have to beat the final boss a minimum of 5 times to use all of the combinations of cores for the Hermes' Answer, and that's assuming you are using a guide and not just trying to figure them out on your own, breaking 1000 barrels (for an achievement), and getting to max level (also for an achievement). There are also a few minor issues like some of the enemies/bosses feeling abit too strong or too weak for their placement and some of the plague weapons feeling useless or overpowered. Overall, Thymesia is definitely worth checking out if you like the souls-like genre, because the things that it does right very heavily outweigh its flaws in my opinion.

The voices are screaming at 150 decibels and my eyes are bleeding profusely, but at least I have my fishing rod.

I excitedly await my mail order crab skeleton. (Also, the game is super fun and awesome! I even made a lil peg-board irl to keep track of the numbers for the endless mode!) :3

Came for the twink puppet, stayed for the insane boss fights.

Disfigure is such a fun way to kill time, especially for a free game. It's definitely worth checking out!
