Overhaul:
This software is aptly named, as it allows you to create characters based on the layering of pre-generated images, similar to how one creates a character/plays dress--up with paper dolls. The characters you can create, the backgrounds you can use depends on the dlc package(s) you have purchased; either via Steam, through their website, or claimed for free by earning certain in-app achievements.

Pros:
-Easy to use. It is all "point & click" interface."
-You can earn free dlc packages by completing certain in-app achievements.
-Some dlc packages are of non-Human characters.
-While the game supports "Fantasy" and "Modern" genre character creation, you are not locked-in to just using items from one genre to create your character.

Cons-
-You need to sign up/have an account on the software's website if you want to claim your free dlc packages.
-Imo, there are not enough non-Human characters templates to build upon, when compared to Human templates.
-A slight learning curve, when it comes to layering clothing, visual effects, and exporting created characters as a finished image.

Ultimate Review:
-ePic Generator is worth purchasing, if you are an individual that creators characters, either for a fanfic, an rpg, a full-blown novel, or just for yourself, but are not able to commission artwork of them, or are having difficulty in visualizing their appearance.
