Despite all the flak I've heard about Diablo IV, I am enjoying it quite well. It is a nice change of pace from other ARPGs such as Path of Exile. The end-game is as grindy like any other ARPG, but doesn't feel *as* grindy as PoE. The gameplay is a lot more casual too. If you're looking for a more casual, straightforward game to play for a few hours after a busy day, give Diablo IV a shot!

After overcoming the challenges of learning Path of Exile as a new player, I can say without a doubt that this game is AMAZING. When I first started playing Path of Exile during Archnemesis league (3.17), I had no idea what I was doing and felt very lost. So much so that I didn't even beat act 5 in the campaign and just stopped playing. A year later in 2023, I returned to Path of Exile during the launch of the Affliction League (3.23) and finally overcame the acts and got myself into the endgame. I did not get far into the endgame as the build I had was not enough for even red maps and I was pretty stuck on what to do, so I gave up once again.

Another year later I return once more to Path of Exile for the launch of Settlers of Kalguur league. With the addition of the currency exchange making selling things for currency easier and the help of a friend with an immense amount of knowledge in Path of Exile, I've finally done it. I've completed my Atlas, I've received all 4 voidstones, beaten uber bosses, completed league challenges, even farmed up enough for my very first Mageblood and I had a blast doing it all! Now that I no longer feel lost in this game, I am simply in love with it and I am very excited to see what GGG has planned for next league!

New players : I know the game will probably overwhelm the hell out of you but trust me, try and learn the game at your own pace. It may take awhile but it is well worth it!

Another great game from the Frictional Games dev team. Compared to its predecessor "Amnesia : Rebirth", Bunker is like a breath of fresh air. The gameplay is spot on, I enjoyed finally being able to fight back against the monster and I loved the randomization of 90% of the items in the game each playthrough, it kept things fresh each time. Exploring the bunker itself was very enjoyable. So much detail was put into the layout and look of the bunker. The grim, dark halls full of corpses of your fellow comrades being feasted by giant rats, the holes in the walls where the monster could come out anytime it wanted, all the traps setup by your comrades in hopes of stopping the monster. All this and more made the game very tense and horrifying, anytime the monster was near I actively went to go hide in a corner or in a closet for several minutes. The monster itself is probably the scariest monster out of all Amnesia games in my opinion.

Graphics are great, gameplay is perfect, the voice acting (that there is) is alright as well. My only few complaints about Bunker is that it's pretty short and there isn't much to the story. It took me 8 hours on my first playthrough mainly cause I wanted to explore everything I could. On my 2nd playthrough attempting to speedrun the game for an achievement, I beat it in under 40 minutes. 3rd playthrough collecting all collectibles and all other achievements : 2 hours. As for story, I just wish they expanded upon it more. There are plenty of notes to read in the game but it feels like there isn't enough. You could read only a few of the notes in the game and basically get the whole gist of the story and what's really going on.

It was a helluva ride playing Bunker and I enjoyed every bit of it. It was so refreshing to play another great Amnesia game that isn't Rebirth.

I give Bunker a 9/10. If they expanded more on the story and made it a bit longer, I would've given it a 10/10!

I don't know what happened here when they were developing this game. Everything about this game feels annoying. The amount of cutscenes/flashbacks, enemy encounters, game mechanics, etc. Flashbacks just appear abruptly and there's so many of them. The Fear mechanic is irritating, having to constantly manage yourself not to be in the dark. It doesn't sound hard at first until you come to parts of the game where you have to hide from a monster. You have to stay in the dark to stay hidden from said monster, but staying in the dark for too long will end up getting you a "game over" of sorts (I'll explain in a second.) Trying to light up anything near the monster will most likely alert it as well and also result in you getting a game over.

As for this "game over" thing, every time you succumb to the darkness or a monster, you have to go through what feels like a 20 second cutscene of the protagonist wandering around the area while also seeing random flashing images. After that, you just end up in some random spot on the map. You cannot skip these game over scenes either, you have to endure all 20 seconds of it. Why have it this way? Why can't I just have a proper game over screen and load from my previous save? I guess seeing it the first time is alright, but having to watch it every time without being able to skip it at all is just maddening.

As for the smaller things, I did not enjoy using matches as most of the time they just went out in a very short amount of time. The lantern also felt this way, it didn't really last that long either even with a full tank of oil. I guess the devs wanted the players to focus more on using matches to light up torches, candles or whatever else the level has to offer for light sources.

I will commend this game on some aspects though. The graphics are pretty good. Textures are detailed, lighting is fantastic. I also commend the voice actors for their work in the game, they all did a tremendous job, especially the protagonist. I am sure the story is great too, the sad part is that I couldn't really enjoy it cause of all the annoyances in the game. Half way through the game, I stopped focusing on the story. I stopped reading the notes, listening to the cutscenes and other things just cause I wanted the game to be over as soon as possible.

I give this game a 6/10 , If I could give it a mixed review instead of a downright no, I would. I highly recommend playing Frictional Games' "Amnesia : A Machine For Pigs" or "SOMA" If you're looking for a game with an AMAZING story and alright gameplay. If you're looking more into gameplay and jumpscares, go play "Amnesia : The Dark Descent" and its DLC "Amnesia : Justine"

I understand that most people that view this game negatively only view it this way due to the gameplay. Yes, it doesn't have most of the mechanics like The Dark Descent did (Inventory, Tinderboxes, Sanity, Oil for lantern, etc.) What this game does have is a very strong narrative, great atmosphere, AMAZING voice acting and wonderful music.

I highly recommend playing this game not for the gameplay or jumpscares, but for its dark and unimaginable story that I'm sure will keep you hooked like it did for me.

I bought this game years back and only now decided to play it recently and man, I wish I played it sooner. This game is phenomenal. I didn't expect to enjoy this game all too much when I first launched it but man I was so wrong. The narrative, voice acting, world building, audio design, etc. is just so perfect. I am not one to stick with story focused games but this game kept me glued for the entire 8 hours I played it. I loved every second of this game and I'm sure you will too.

Please buy this game. Even if scary games aren't you thing, you will not regret it one bit.

10/10
