I like to review comics and games on youtube (@MrVariant) and I like how PC had a renaissance where consoles failed, and there are even portable hybrids too. My avatar was back from my hobby game days, Quickstrike. Made a trading card game about it, a deck building variant, and even a minigame rpg with Reach.

Now, to go in depth about what this is about. Think of it as a real time version of those idle/clicker games. In other words, there are timed hits and training exercises to get very strong relatively quickly after you inevitably lose. A plus over roguelikes is that you don't have to replay the whole game, nor lose your progress.

I enjoyed the customization of the character and how equipment loot makes them look different too. Even better is just seeing how you're motivated to exceed in training by doing things at the last minute, and collecting stars in defense where you have to break the pace of blocking apples and let yourself get hit by stars to get buffs faster.

I also like the strategy behind boss fights too, to save up your skills since the cooldown will wear you off if you waste your blocks/dodges (you counter if you time at the last second and it goes into a cool slow motion). You also have a plethora of weapons to explore with, which lets you branch across different paths.
