Incredible remake!! There are some QOL features that will annoy the hell out of some people but its amazing if you can look past those.

Mostly, phone game ported to PC it feels like. Menus are pretty sparse, no mention of abilities when you pick things up, stuff like that. Everything is an experiment when it comes to your builds.

Now that the issue is out of the way. The game is absolutely fantastic. There is so much to do, so many things to work on, insane pathways you can take your characters, and it works perfectly in multiplayer. Have not seen a glitch/issue yet.

It does take some time to learn and information about the game is SPARSE. Most of it is outdated or will direct you to 9D3.

If you like experimentation, youll be fine here.

Give it a solid 8.5/10. Point reductions mostly for the UI being ROUGH on a PC and lack of explanations for some obscure items.

Much more fun to play with a friend too. The game feels as if this is the intended way. Enemies have a TON of health when you start, and solo it can be a little overwhelming for some people.

Seriously give this a shot. Its a fantastic game with great pacing, several minigames to keep you occupied, and lots of nods to other titles.

Extremely fun game. Picked it up during the Steam Summer Sale and gotta say...

This is now Postal 3. Everything is on point. The humor, the gunplay, the soundtrack, the enemy design, the levels..

Just nailed it. Play this!

DOES NOT WORK ON LINUX DESKTOPS

Every, single, time.

Worked perfectly throughout testing up until Beta-2. Beta-2 we could use STEAMDECK=1 and it would let us in. Now unless you're using Ubuntu or Fedora you cannot play.

I will be writing up a post on how to bypass this once I do some more troubleshooting and if I can get it to work, ill post it in the discussions and leave a file for everyone.

This has happened several times to other games, and there is usually a way around it. This time though... I will try, but if its going to take an extremely long time... tbh this game isnt worth it.

I love it, and had fun, but this weird kernel level anti-cheat BS not only doesnt work, but its irritating to deal with.

I liked this game so much I was going to support the dev and buy skins for me and mine. But now?

Nope. Just gonna let it fall off and die.

but like i said, if by weeks end you dont see a post. I found a better game to play. Steam summer sale, there are a lot of them.

Game is incredibly fun. 9/10

Pros:
- Works on linux
- very fast paced "survivors" style game
- unique style
- lots of varied builds that are all callbacks to OG PC days.
- Levels can last from 10 minutes to 30+
- Bosses scattered throughout break up the gameplay and make for unique finds

Cons:
- Has some issues snapping to fullscreen on multi-monitors.
- Sound tends to overlap in some areas making huge hits incredibly loud.

Thats about it. Incredibly fun game, and since it uses the mouse you dont feel cheated out of movement. Very fun and would highly recommend it!

Still goated. I own the original CD i used to play on my emachine and bought it on here to have in the library.

I was honored for this game to be my first personal PC game i ever played. Doom was first, but i built a PC for this when i was 11.

Legendary game and it still rocks to this day.

Anyone wanna LAN?

Cannot overstate how incredibly overhyped this game was, and still is.

The characters are all nearly braindead and its mostly uwu humor of the lowest caliber. You have to be incredibly tistic to even remotely enjoy this mess of a title.

I will give it props where its due. The music is fantastic, thats it.

I have beaten the game 3 times total. Once Genocide, one peaceful, one neutral (original playthrough) making my own choices.

I can safely say this game may be one of the most boring, easy, and overall cringe games I have ever played in my life. There has never been a time in almost 40 years where I have played a game and my face crunched up like i ate a lemon due to sheer volumes of thermonuclear cringe.

This is one of those games people make their entire identity and I just dont get it. Its an annoying mute with "friends" who are manipulators and just a dumb as the protag is. The characters talk and go on for WAY too long. Just yapping incessantly about nothing.

In my original playthrough I killed Toriel because she would not shut up. I told people this and they called me a monster. On my playthrough where i let her live, i ended up turning on an A button macro and leaving to go to the store while it finished. There are lots of safe spaces for your cursor and moving your mouse off the screen if you have multimonitor (on linux) makes you invincible. So idk how they missed that one.

Sans and Papyrus... where to begin. I think they take #2 spot for most irritating characters I have ever had the displeasure of listening too. Only second to the book in It Takes Two who never shuts up. Not only do I not have any positive to say about them, if i continued on longer I would be here all day. So just know, they're about as enjoyable to listen to as a Gen Z child on 4 redbulls reciting brainrot.

It gets old VERY, VERY fast.

Going through my library and reviewing and revisiting every game I have bought over the years, and I have to say out of all the games I wish I could refund and forget forever.

This sits permanently at #1.

Just... My god people will hype up anything thats uwu cutsie and tries to be emotionally damaging. The Flowey fight at the end of my 1st or second run was neat, i will give it that. I liked that art style change and intensity boost, but it was still pretty easy considering the above. I did like Undynes character for a bit, then undyne became another throwaway idiot making the same looping choices as everyone else. Also when you work in IT the whole ending of it placing files and doing that nonsense didnt work. So i had to manually fix that on my own since my system security prevented files from being created. Same issue with DDLC when it was a big deal. (Remember, Project M died for that.)

Lots of things can be outright skipped and completely ignored, and youll arrive at the same conclusion. I played this when it was new and put it down for a while, then came back when an Ex mentioned it and wanted me to play it through. So i did 3 times to really understand it.

Much like my ex, complete waste of time and effort.

Remember, if your gut tells you its crap, its probably going to be even if you go into it with a fresh mindset like I did. This is like FNAF but I will at least give FNAF credit for making an insane ARG. Kids making these games their entire personality is unwarranted for how generic and simply okay they are from a surface level. This is widely considered one of the greatest games of all time on many lists you find online.

Those people are smoking straight rock.

tl;dr:

12/100.

Pros:

- Good music, some are pretty amazing. Like His Theme. Great to sleep to.

Cons:

- The rest of the entire game.
- Annoying characters
- Thermonuclear cringe dialogue
- Boring one note characters
- Twists you would have to be blind to not see coming
- Severely overhyped gameplay with lots of seemingly avoidable exploits.
- Missions that drag on for FAR too long.
- Secrets and main paths that require doing nothing for periods of time. I know its an Earthbound reference but my god guys.
- Incessantly annoying shopkeeper, characters who act like they matter when they dont, extremely one note combat.

The list goes on forever. By the end of the first major "act", youll be bored to tears with the entire story. If you manage to push through hoping the end will give you satisfaction. You will be sorely mistaken.

Quite literally one of the worst titles I have ever played and the only one I will never revisit out of my entire library.
