I would recommend this game, but I really cannot. This is really just an "upgraded" TSW4, Discord still says that TSW5 is just Train Sim World 4. Instead of just updating the older TSW entries you are required to download a functionally same game just to get updates, which will kill most peoples storage, uninstalling the older versions is always an option but it remains a slight annoyance.

The big bug issues: The persistent bugs across versions, like distributed power on Horseshoe Curve not working, the dispatcher not being able to handle a lot of trains in some areas (As an example: New York Penn Station on the NEC NYC - Trenton & LIRR routes) and as such trains will just get stuck, When there's multiple passenger trains loading/unloading in busy spots (again New York Penn Station shows this real good), if you try walking down the train you will bump into invisible people, and the worst one of all in my opinion, the game just deciding to crash when ever it decides to. I heavily doubt it's my own computer's issue, as at the time of posting having 64 GBs of DDR4 at 3600 MHz, an Intel Core i9 11900K at 5.0 GHz, a RTX 4090, with everything running off an M.2 SSD.

Then there's the really REALLY odd decisions that are made: Class 700, cannot drive it on the London - Brighton Mainline, but you can do 5 minute runs from a yard to Peterborough, or the Class 377/2 being added for WCML where again, you cannot use it at all on London - Brighton Mainline. The M7s from the OLD LIRR route appears as AI in New York Penn for NYC - Trenton but not the new M7s or the M9s from the NEW LIRR route, some "Reduced Time Schedules" barely being reduced (see Southeastern High Speed where the differences in the time schedule is just removing the 4 TGV services and leaving everything else), whereas some other full time schedules feels baron like NYC - Trenton at some points (I have rode the length of this route irl multiple times over and it is a lot more busy, or at least feels more busy than what TSW has). Some route descriptions being critically dated, most of which (or those that I own) referencing it being exclusive to TSW2, 3, 4, whatever, it seems lazy not to update the text slightly to either remove saying "It's exclusive to this older version of TSW" or just say "For Train Sim World" in game.

Anyways if you have played any of the Train Sim World games, this is just the same thing with a different label, It's nice giving a free starter pack tho to anyone who previously had previous installments. (Edit) It's nice that they extended it too

I want to avoid spoilers for this game, go play it if you haven't.

For an April Fools game, this game is honestly pretty well written. All the characters that appear in this game, such as Tails follows how you would expect them to behave, Tails is very analytical, Rouge wants to steal stuff, etc etc. It's a short game, but you should really try it

With ~1,940 hours in this game. You would think I would leave a positive review regarding this game. No.

I want to talk about the positive's first. The models of all the machinery in the game is extremely well done. If you have been in or used a vehicle in this game, such as the F9F-8 Cougar as my example, the model to the real life thing, inside and out is very well made.

Here's the negatives

This game is "free." What do I mean by that. While it is free to download and play the in game economy is very bad. This forces users to pay for either the non premium currency, or the premium time, or premium vehicles. This is due to once a few months Gaijin changes the non premium currency to be gained less per match, and the repair costs of each vehicle goes up. This means even trading equally, such as one kill per one death without premium time or premium vehicles will most likely lose you non premium currency.

The next part of this review will be addressing this specific post[warthunder.com]. As it shows how tone deaf Gaijin is.

- The total time of getting the first top vehicle is super vague, we as a player base doesnt know how long it should take. Personal experience took me about 1k hours to reach the top tier once.
- The player should at the beginning of the game should work their way up. Then why offer premium vehicles with no restrictions. (Obvious answer dont tell me)
- The variety of vehicles shouldnt promote too many "farming" vehicles. This statement right here shows that Gaijin doesnt actually play their own game. Come play Air Realistic Battles at 10.0 BR Bracket. F-5C, A-6Es, A-10, SU-25, A-5Cs, and so many more premiums to the eye can see. Everyone is playing these to break even.
- The main parameter can't be changed without significant harm. So what about all of those BR Adjustments, Repair cost adjustments, and SL modifiers being changed to promote the farming vehicles. Just some food for thought.

So with those issues addressed, lets talk about how they maybe fixed.
1. Increase the SL gain and reduce the repair costs. As a non premium player I should be able to at least break even if I get one kill and one death.
2. Make the game more balanced around each gamemode, instead of each difficulty level, such as adjusting the A-10, A-6, SU-25 battle rating higher in Air Realistic Battles because those planes encounter sub sonic, lacking missiles, and/or lacking countermeasures. There is effectively no reason not to bring out these better planes because others cant do anything.
3. Have the people in Gaijin play WT to show them exactly what is wrong with the game.

One more thing regarding the article. Gaijin doesnt like review bombing as a method of communication on any platforms that they cannot directly control. Such as Steam Reviews. This is a good thing. This means that Gaijin is seeing the issues of players and how it drives away new and old players, and they cannot sweep it under the rug. While new players may not read the reviews, they will see Recent Reviews: Overwhelmingly Negative. This can cause players to stop playing this game or read the reviews and see the issues we are having. This will drive efforts to actually cause change. If there is no players or dropping players. More change is bound to happen.

Keep posting Negative Reviews.

There is a planned no play War Thunder day. May 26th, 2023. I would encourage anyone to join in on this.

I'm really mixed about Portal with RTX, but overall its more negative than positive for me.

Changing settings, use Alt+X and not the video options in the legacy options menu. I have to ask why wasnt the menu either A. Change to support the RTX stuff or B. Removed and shows the default bind to change it.

Anyways, this is Portal, you're required to own Portal 1 to play the RTX version, as such the game play is the exact same, as such you would be playing this version for the visual differences. On that front, everything looks good, believe me the lighting, reflections, and all of it looks really good, but I believe there was a few missed opportunities, like replacing GLaDOS to be the Portal 2 model (which looks better over all), replacing the cores to be the Portal 2 model, and some other small stuff. The biggest difference you are going to see on your current computer is frames being very different. In my experience Portal 1 (og) runs at about 215 fps on average, where Portal 1 RTX I get about 45 fps on average, but drops significantly at large areas (this is experienced on an RTX 3070, your experience can be different), but what ever I just said does not apply when you look through a portal, if you look through a portal you can say good bye to your frames. This game is also crash prone to my 1.3 hour experience playing through the game twice, getting a crash every 3-5 chambers on average.

The point of this is just a publicity stunt, plain and simple, while the graphics looks very good, thats what this version of portal provides. If you want to have better lighting and want to save the majority of your frames I would recommend using reshade, its no ray tracing but it will make your Portal 1 look like Portal 1 with RTX. I would just play the original, due to the story being the same, the bugs being the same (IE portal bumping out of bounds), It's an experience worth having, but not worth coming back to as mentioned before, everything besides the visuals are the same.

If I'm going to be honest, you should play Portal 1 and if you want higher visuals, download Reshade and set it up to your liking, you dont need an RTX 4090 to use Reshade either, and the only compromise you have to make is slightly reduced quality of stuff like the buttons and cubes. Since as mentioned before, same game.

Also this is still a 32-bit program, so enjoy using only 4 gb of ram, really couldn't upgrade it to 64 bit huh

I have a small amount of time in this game, less time than I would normally like for a review, there is a chance ill update this later.

FPS Chess is a spin on chess, where instead of taking a piece its a fight to the death for those two pieces. Each piece has its own fighting style, ranging from basic muskets to machine guns to swords, I shall quickly list what each one does.

Pawn: You get a sprint with no cool down, with another ability to have another pawn help you.
Knight: Ditching hitscan weapons for a classic bow and arrow. With some fast charge ability and an ability for an arrow to lock on slightly to hit (Im not too sure how this works yet)
Bishop: You get a shotgun, multiple bullets but not great accuracy, be close to each other to utilize the best, you get a glide and a grenade, you can use it to blast jump as well with no damage to yourself
Rook: Sniper, aim for the head, you get a wall and a grappling hook.
Queen: Machine gun, ITS A MACHINE GUN. You also can fly and pick up a piece to throw at the other person
King: SWORD, you can attract the other person closer to you, and you can brave jump towards someone.

All pieces can jump, and climb surfaces. It is a lot of fun

You have the option to do local play on the same computer, local play on multiple computers (LAN), and online play. You are also able to customize the board to what ever you like, such as 10 bishops V 1 king.

Its fun, play it

Part 8 of 8 for my review of every Jackbox Party Pack that has been released on Steam as of August 19th, 2022.

Jackbox Party Pack 8, It is a lot of fun all things considered, a really strong pack that has been released.

Drawful Animate, just like Drawful from JPP1 you are drawing something, and as the name would suggest it is animated, so it is a lot more fun to guess what the prompt is (Min 3, Max 10, Suggested 10)

Job Job, Probably the weakest title in this pack, You are making mostly funny answers to job interview questions, its just like quiplash. (Min 3, Max 10, Suggested any amount)

The Poll Mine. Everyone in the game gets surveyed about their preferences, then split into 2 teams and trying to figure out what took what slot, it is a lot of fun and encourages paying attention to the other side. (Min 2, Max 10, Suggested 4 or more in even intervals)

Weapons Drawn, Another art game, but this one is very different from Drawful, your goal is to murder other peoples guests at a dinner party, and hide your murder weapon, but the catch is that somewhere in your murder weapon is a letter of your name. So like my user name "Snivy Films" I would have to hide an "i" in my weapon somewhere. It is a lot of fun, but it takes a while to get through. (Min 4, Max 8, Suggested any amount)

The Wheel of Enormous Proportions, Its trivia. It is a lot of fun, and at the end of the game who ever is winning gets to have their question answered by the wheel. I would rank this higher than You Dont Know Jack but under Trivia Murder Party, but fun all around. (Min 2 Max 8, Suggested any amount)

Jackbox Party Pack 8 is a pretty good pack over all, a lot of fun to be had, it is worth it at this price.

Part 7 of 8 for my review of every Jackbox Party Pack that has been released on Steam as of August 19th, 2022.

Jackbox Party Pack 7, It is a lot of fun but there are some interesting games, lets review them.

Quiplash 3, Its Quiplash, It is a lot of fun, you should know the deal now, make funny prompts and have people vote on which one is the most funny. It is a lot of fun. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 6 or more)

The Devils and the Details, Your family of devils are trying to live like normal humans, but at the same time its point collecting, this has the exact same issue as Role Models, where if it wasnt competitive and encouraged selfish gameplay it would be fun. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested any amount of players but in even intervals)

Champ'd Up, It is an art game, which we havent had for a while (outside of the Death Minigame in Trivia Murder Party 2 in JPP6), where your character tries to take out other characters to the prompt, who ever wins the vote proceeds, its mixed for me, but I can see where the fun comes from. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 4 or more)

Talking Points, I hope you are good with public speaking, because this is basically an improv public speaking game, It can get banterous for sure, but everyone has to be confident while playing. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested any amount)

Blather 'Round, Someone puts in their answer to the prompt and everyone else has to guess, the person who put in their answer can help the guessers, this is a dud due to people possibility not knowing the pop culture (Min 2, Max 6, Suggested 6)

This pack is alright, I would recommend waiting for a sale though

Part 6 of 8 for my review of every Jackbox Party Pack that has been released on Steam as of August 19th, 2022.

I heard that Jackbox Party Pack 6 is decisive, and I see why, because most people like only one game in the pack and tolerate or dislike the others, lets go over them.

Trivia Murder Party 2, Its Trivia Murder Party 1, but with more trivia, new more fun death minigames, and secret endings. This is by far a lot of fun, even the voice actor seems like he is having more fun in this game than in the first one. A good upgrade that is worth playing. (Min 1, Max 8, Suggested any amount)

Role Models, This game I dont like, the issue with this game is that it is requires knowing everyone who is playing, and it has a stupid player limitation. I don't like playing just for that reason alone, but that seems weird so Ill explain more. Role Models you are categorizing your friends into roles into a collective subject, like Star Trek Captains, it requires EVERYONE to know the topic at hand. It is also shaped up to be a competitive game to see who can win, when if it wasn't to see who wins would be a far better execution. I don't like this, but I don't blame you if you enjoy it. (Min 3, Max 6, Suggested any amount)

Joke Boat, This game is pretty bad. You are meant to run a comedy show, but more often than not you get trash prompts that you can't really work with. The goal is to make people laugh but in reality its more of which one sucks the least. It feels like a fake Quiplash game, which you should just play instead. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 4 or more)

Dictionarium, I'm not going to lie I forgot that this game even existed. You are trying to make a fake word match a definition. This game is also pretty not good, again you are better playing Quiplash or something like that. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 4 or more)

Push The Button, Is that an AMONG US REFERENCE???? (Read my review on Among Us to find out my opinion of that game), up to 10 people are on a ship that is slowing dying, the goal is to get rid of the aliens in one fowl sweep. There are questions and devices to find out who are the aliens, unlike Fakin It, the Aliens get a slightly different prompt, but the Aliens can hack players to give them the Alien Prompt, and Aliens can hack other Aliens to give them the human prompt. This is not mentioned anywhere to what I recall, but the closer to 0 the timer gets, the more different the Alien and Human prompts are. It is a lot of fun and worth playing. (Min 4, Max 10, Suggested any amount over 6, but NOT SPECIFICALLY 8 Players)

All in All, this Party Pack has groups, like friend groups in school. Where they like one thing and tolerate or dislike everything else, easily wait for a sale for this game.

Part 5 of 8 for my review of every Jackbox Party Pack that has been released on Steam as of August 19th, 2022.

Jackbox Party Pack 5 is kinda split in the group of friends I play this with, since there some decent games and then some bad ones. Lets go over them

You Dont Know Jack: Full Stream, Its another trivia game, from experience its a lot of people trying to lose the least more than anything. I tend to not enjoy it since you just go into the red and who ever wins is someone who typically just gets lucky, unlike Trivia Murder Party where you can barely win by winning the death games. I dont really like this. (Min 1, Max 8, Suggested any)

Split The Room, You are given a prompt, and the goal is to fill in an answer where only half of the people say yes and the other half say no, which is how you get the most points. It is a lot of fun, but it requires thinking on how your friends would react. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested, Any amount of odd players, or 8 + Audience)

Mad Verse City, You are some giant robots rapping to win, everyone else gets to vote on who made the better rap. This is kinda a dud as well from my experience. Its fun, but it requires friends that really know eachother to get good laughs, (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 4 or more)

Patently Stupid, There's an odd problem which requires an odd invention to solve. You get to draw, name and give a tag line to your invention, then it gets funded, who ever has the most money wins. It's a lot of fun when the questions gets weird and the solutions are comical. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested any amount)

Zeeple Dome, Easily the biggest dud in this pack, players have to work together to get through levels, while trying to get the most money. It seems like the goal was to be co op but competitive, think like how you treated your friends/siblings in New Super Mario Brothers Wii, trying to kill eachother so often, same vibe here, but it doesnt really work. (Min 1, Max 6, Suggested any amount)

To be honest you would get this pack for a few games, and leave the others alone. Wait for a sale to buy this pack

Part 4 of 8 for my review of every Jackbox Party Pack that has been released on Steam as of August 19th, 2022.

Jackbox Party Pack 4 has probably the best range of games to any Jackbox Party Pack, and it is a lot of fun to play these games.

Fibbage 3, The classic fool others into picking your wrong answer to trivia. More questions, including pieces of art where you put in fake names for the art and trying to find the real name. It's a whole lot of fun. (Min 2, Max 8, Suggested 6 or more)

Fibbage Enough About You, Although in the Fibbage 3 game, Enough About You changes the game from guessing random trivia to YOU, the player providing a truth, and others putting in lies. It is a lot of fun, seeing how well you can dig through other peoples lies to find the person's truth. This is a go to when ever we have a lot of people wanting to play (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 6 or more)

Survive The Internet, Twitter in a nutshell. Joking aside, you write down your answer to a prompt, then someone else uses your answer to make a weird question, the goal is to laugh really. It is a lot of fun to play, but the humor comes from who you are playing with more than the game itself, so come with friends. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 6 or more)

Monster Seeking Monster, It is a dating game, but everyone is a monster where each has effects, it gets more crazy as roles are revealed. Players need to date eachother with 4 messages or less. The bad news is that a lot of people tend to date their close friends and not go for anyone else, which ruins the fun, because one person tends to get shafted and has to please the bot (play the game to understand) (Min 3, Max 7, Suggested 4 or more)

Bracketeering, Take brackets of teams playing up to the finals or something like that, but have it be answers to questions. The first one is tame, but the second and third brackets changes it up, with the second one being a decoy question, and the third one changing every time it moves up, making you think how it will affect the answer that has been dominating. (Min 3, Max 16, Suggested 6 or more)

Civic Doodle, The least played game for me in this pack, you draw a new mural, or you can add to someone elses. It is a lot of fun if you have decent artists in the group, but this one is kinda a dud for me. (Min 3, Max 8, Suggested 8)

All in All, most of these games are a lot of fun, and the pack is priced pretty good as is with all of the games you have. Since you technically get 6 instead of 5.
