Played this through some time ago. Fond memories of mashing lots of things to do something good in a story line. Nice. For the current price of $5 you should not hesitate.

If you are a fan of R-Factor games, you'll like this. Not a modern driver game, but a good simulator for what it does. And the price (free) is just right.

Not having been a fan of the show, I find this very slow with little input on my part. Loved the other Telltale stuff. Just not into the genre I suppose.

No issue playing it. Works as advertised.

I don't like his sadistic laugh, and the fact that he gets off the right side of the horse. But I do get into it and considering its age, it holds up pretty well.

I enjoy it dispite its idiosyncracies. On sale it is an easy recommendation.

I would like to suggest that Activision act on hiring QA for there products. The problems this thing has running are things that were solved ten years ago. The only thing working so far is the marketing. Shame on me.

Update: What a great community. Found the answer here and all I had to do was turn everything on video off. Nevermind the fact that A.V. selected the settings that crashed pretty regularly, winding it all the way to nothing let me play the game.

With that I can add that being able to go through the chapters with out constantly restarting was very nice. The single player mode (the only place I have been so far) is a good movie although pretty predictable plot-wise. It is a corridor shooter in that aspect. There is one place where you get more choices but it is pretty strictly defined so I would include even those chapters. But it plays well in the limited solo case and objectives change flavor enough to keep interest. I'm not sure the "level-up" system has any merit but it does give you something to do.

With these caveats, I would recommend an on-sale version of this game if you want to kill 7-9 hours.

For multiplayer or co-op you will have to check someone else's review. I've not explored those.

ACT I
Far Cry 3 with Bees and Elephants. It's a real kick to take out an outpost with just an elephant, but so far it really plays like it's predecessor. Every FC so far has always kicked it up a significant notch. Not this one so far - except for the Bees and Elephants.

ACT II
Dang, Elephants are cool.
If you are using your Uplay points and get the music, you might be a little disappointed. It implied one got the OST, but you really only get one song at two minutes and fourty seconds. Felt like a bit of a rip-off. Still have elephant enjoyment.

Afterthoughts:
Steam achievements would have been nice also. They never claimed they did so I shouldn't whine like some old cranky elephant, but there you have it.
I was play FC2 just before this (no towers to speak of there) and really miss the F5/F9 save restore.
Where the heck are the Yaks?
Why can't I travel the whole map (out of bounds errors) until later in the campaitgn? Seems kind of arbitrary.
I only hate dying because it takes so long to load again.
Why are 1/6 of the trees 2D? Just saying ...

ACT III
Still enjoying this and it has been almost a year. Has never crashed or glitched. Solid like an elephant. And granade launchers ... OMG granade launchers.

Pretty neat game. Just wish it would stop crashing so I could finish it. Not too much of a loss for 50 cents.

Wow - on sale for 69 cents? Worth that in spades. I paid full boat last February. No complaints though.

Made me and the kids laugh. Good music. Sure wish it was more like "The Wold Amoung us" in that you pay once and get all the chapters as they come out.

Over and done in 14 hours. But I did run in super-easy mode because I really just wanted the movie. Movie's pretty damn good. Had I done a harder level no doubt I would have needed to plot and skulk much more and that would have added time. On the other hand, I could have played it faster but I was admiring the stunning work done by the art crews. The lighting, the detail. Really worth getting a walkthrough at one level just to see that work. Nice one.

I did have a lot of trouble with the core sensibilities. I found myself thinking "This is irresponsible of them to make this." while admiring the brilliant alternate sci-fi history on which the plot is based. I'm not a squemish person, but I cringed in places. Yet I played on. Wanted to play on.

I found myself wondering how they could possibly generalize this to a class of peoples so obviously incorrectly as these types of events tend to be small groups of individuals. I started defending the German people in my mind with rationalized arguments and social rhetoric. As I continued to flash back on how this game never should have been made I started musing on how this compared with the original that I played so long ago. It never bothered me back-in-the-day. Why now? Is it the addition of such a strong plot element only?

Today's graphics and story-telling power are light-years from the old 8-bit days. They can say a lot more and a lot more powerfully. With top presentation skills, that can be the thing that makes all the difference. When you do it well enough, it can become art - like great cinema does. Art makes you think. Exposes controversy. Upsets or delights or pick-a-verb, it affects you. Really great artistic piece, under it all, asks one simple question. And presents all the myriad parts to help you contemplate an answer, without judging or guiding.

I have my answer, and I'm glad the question was asked.
