This is a short HOG but it was much less back and forth than many games in this genre. Most of the puzzles could be solved with items in the immediate area, so you do not have to back up 15 rooms to get a piece of a lock that opened another lock. This makes the game shorter but more enjoyable.

You go back through rooms you already played because of the castle layout but it didn't feel like tedium. There are a couple of translation issues when finding objects, but overall it did not spoil the game. The story line was more interesting that some although still flimsy in some areas.

If you can get this on sale or as part of a bundle it is a nice addition to your HOG library.

Fun diversion for a few hours. You can demo it for an hour for free at Big Fish to see if you like it. Resource management, city building, fire-fighting, land-clearing, etc. Enough variety to keep it interesting for the length of the game.

Older HOG with some "spooky" atmosphere in most scenes, so that was different. There is plenty of useless back and forth and as mentioned the map is not helpful other than to indicate there is nothing left to do in the area you are in. The locations with available action are not labeled so hard to know where you need to back track to. If you enjoy HOGs and try to play them all then give this one a try when it is on sale or bundled. Like many of these lower end HOGS it was not bad just not great either.

If you are a player that cares to read the reviews then you already know to look at the hours played for the person reviewing the game. "Wow, what a great game!" from a player with 2 hours or less is pretty telling.

I completed Mysteries of Neverville: The Runestone of Light and have only 2 hours to show for it, so be aware it is a short game. It is not bad, but it ins't great either. Get it in a bundle, from a giveaway, or on sale and you'll enjoy it.

I typically don't review many games, unless it is during a Steam event, like this Summer Sale, just to earn a badge or nick-knack. I prefer to express my creativity in game guides as opposed to reviews. However, when I read reviews I prefer to hear what the players with the most hours in the game have to say. "I love the game you should buy it!" from a user with 0.6 hours of game play just doesn't sway me.

Having said that, I have many hours in Stardew Valley, and if the other reviews don't sway you, I hope this will. This game is the effort of a single, dedicated developer, that proves you don't need a team of 100 and a multi-million dollar budget to create a great, fun-filled game that you can play for numerous weekends in a row. There is something for nearly every gamer in this jewel. You owe it to yourself to start your life in Stardew Valley today.

Very enjoyable Match-3. However, it freezes after 30 to 60 minutes of play, and sometimes requires a hard shutdown to recover. I know the 4th and 5th installment are also good and I do not remember any freeze issues with those. If you doi not mind having to restart every so often it is still fun!

This game has some interesting features but it crashes multiple times, has game ending bugs that you have to start over to get around and the deverloper is no where to be found. Avoid this game as you will end up being frustrated.

No idea why but I do not see gemstones when I play... I see fruit instead. This game is not the worst I have played Match-3 wise, but it is just "blah!" It is nothing memoriable.

Owned all three of the orignal AOE plus expansions. Still love this game!

The game play mechanism is poorly done making the game more of a struggle than fun. There are many better Time Management type games out there. I really wanted to like this game, as I enjoy the genre, but even giving a second attempt months later and I still could not find the enjoyment.
