Shooting feels responsive, movement is (mostly) fluid. Operators are a frustrating feature I wish wouldn't have made its way into the game, least not to the Operations mode, however each Operator’s abilities feel fairly well designed for their assigned roles.

There is a EXP cap for the battle pass, which I did not know about until after I noticed I stopped leveling it up. This issue was brought up to Shadow during a post-launch Q&A, and I don’t expect it to change.

Warfare is just another generic Battlefield clone that really lacks any soul. It is fun with a few friends in a squad, but you should also get ready to just shoot blindly into the half dozen smoke grenades that have been carpet-bombed into the corridor you need to push through. Player count is too high for many of the map's tighter areas you're typically pushed into, so it just becomes a case of which team can virtually lob more ammunition at the other team faster. From experience, it does feel that a good chunk of both teams are filled with bots; there will frequently be "players" that laser beam you, only to have 2 or 3 kills in the final stages of the round. If bots are present, I believe they should be labelled as AI/bots, and then replaced by players if they filled the server.

Operations is where most of my hours has been spent, as someone looking for a more arcade-y replacement for Escape from Tarkov, I was initially pretty excited with this game mode and I’ve hit the max rank. However over the last 2 weeks, my initial excitement for the game and game mode have hit an all-time low.

- It feels like Ive won the lottery if I get Teammates who aren’t just running around hoovering up all the rares in the spawn area, while ignoring any engagement the rest of us are in. If you’ve managed to survive the initial engagement(s), they also swipe gear from the kills, and without friendly fire, they face basically no repercussions. Its frustrating to load in with someone who’s brought a Green-ticket gear set just to run off and then scream for a res when they’ve been downed on the other side of the map, while you’ve brought in a 400k+ set, and you now have to decide if you want to rush a team or not.
- Normal mode has value-requirements to load into but players have learned how to game this requirement with pistols, and minimal armor.
- Normal mode being the only option for Brakkesh and Space City make learning the map almost impossible without a PVE or Offline mode. In addition, the rotation of if the map is even available to load into adds frustration when many of the questlines send you to them.
- The blue and purple gear tickets are impossible to obtain outside of what feels like rare events. I’m not sure why they were not included in the late stages of the Battle Pass.
- Invisible walls on terrain or objects you otherwise should be able to climb, that forces you into various “laneways” on specific parts of each map. Why can’t I sit on the cliff above the river on Layali to snipe (outside of the couple spots where you can stand on the smallest lip right up against the invisible wall).
- I likely have between 100 – 200 hours in the game during their initial alpha in the summer, and it feels like TTK has sharply gone down (faster downs/kills). Since you’re able to bring down the recoil on most guns, most engagements are over as quickly as they began, there’s rarely time to react, or flank.
- I believe that health damage, and the way armor interacts with ammunition types to protect the player needs an overhaul. Engagements are far too quick and are over just as quickly as they begin.
- No form of insurance, outside of if your squad-mate extracts with any of the gear you brought in. A player’s death “case” that has been carried to an extract, or areas earmarked as drop offs for the cases should have be considered.
- From my perspective, cheaters appear to be the biggest issue this game has, and will continue to face. As a free to play game, its always going to be an inherent problem. The amount of rapid headshots that have downed or killed me at long distances, the players who land several headshots in a row the millisecond you peak a corner, or from people who’ve peaked a corner for half a second to land several perfect shots on me and my squad mates certainly makes me suspicious. I probably get notification every other Normal round that someone in my game session has been banned. It is disappointing that a game with kernel-level anticheat is this infested.
- I have matched into a squad with players who admitted to cheating both through voice and text chat, to which I have reported, but received no updates on so as far as I know they faced no consequences. I extracted quickly from that session, but I witnessed them both run to opposites areas of Zero Dam and kill a couple squads each in just a few seconds before I was able to extract.
