You can beat this game 100% in about 6 hours or so (not counting achievements), but in that time Later Alligator will quickly become a favorite of yours. It has some of the best atmosphere I've experienced in a 2D game, is packed to the brim with humor and charm, and will leave you wanting even more once you're done. I personally almost never game for more than an hour or 2 in a single sitting, but I was so hooked on this game that I spent nearly 6 hours straight going through the story, finding every family badge and puzzle piece, with few breaks in between.

If we ever get some kind of sequel or spinoff that explores even more of Alligator New York City I would be first in line to grab it. But if this is all we see of Pat, his family, and the Big Alligator Apple, then I'll still be happy. Because for just 18 dollars, I experienced some of the best writing and setting I've seen in a video game since switching to PC nearly a decade ago, and you can too.

Early Access Review
Phase Shift brings back the career and online modes that other GH-likes of recent years have more-or-less neglected, whilst the note window is now just tight enough to make you pay attention without hindering the player. The added instrument support for things like drums, keyboards, and even dance pads makes PS a very versatile rhythm game, especially for those who chart their own custom songs. The lack of .chart support out of the gate is a bummer, but maybe by the time you read this DWSK will have added it. There were also some songs that didn't make it into the Steam edition that were in the free version from 2017, particularly songs from the VVVVVV OST, but the included tracks are still solid choices, and you still get more than PS's main rival, whose name rhymes with Bone Gyro.

>plug in a wired Logitech controller and start the game
>get a notice that my controller isn't supported
>ignore it and start a new season
>as soon as I leave the pit stop my car stops accelerating and I can't move
>close the game and start again with a Steam Controller
>says it isn't supported, quit before starting a race
>check CM's website for supported controllers on PC
>they're all either racing wheels or official Xbox controllers

10/10 would buy another controller just so I can play this properly

You can play at your own pace, there's plenty of modes, and it's super fun with friends. The only person I wouldn't recommend this game to are those who have psychotic episodes triggered by the mere presence of Denuvo.

I crashed into a wall so hard it hardlocked my laptop. At first I tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds and it did nothing. Just pressing it to go to sleep mode didn't work either. I had to open the bottom panel and disconnect the battery from my motherboard after unplugging it from the wall in order to quit the game.

10/10 best bricking simulator in existence

The first Poker Night was a middle-of-the-road for me, but on the bright side it has taught me a lot of the basics of poker. Poker Night 2, however, seems to take that logic and throw it out the window.

Before, your experience mainly depended on your skills with the element of chance that all card games have to offer. However, in Poker Night 2, the odds seem to be stacked against you. (Or at least is a buggy mess, but considering the types of glitches I've come across it's likely the former.)

As I mentioned above, this seems to be a buggy mess. For instance, during a showdown against Claptrap, the odds meter on the top of the screen read my odds as 51%.... and Claptrap's as 52%.

I've also been the victim of "lesser readings" as I call them, where the game interperets your hand not as the highest it possibly can, but rather as the lowest. For instance, in a 1 on 1 showdown with Max, a Flush that I had was read as a single pair of 2s; still technically right, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nonetheless.

All in all, Poker Night 2 is a terribly broken trainwreck that pales in comparison to the original. Sure the new opponents are a nice change but I feel that the glitches and bugs it presents make it unworthy of most Steam libraries.

If there was an "unsure/maybe" option for a rating, I would give this game that.

Poker Night at the Inventory is unforgiving if you're new to Texas Hold 'Em poker, but can be manipulated if you're patient and lucky enough. A tutorial or guide of sorts in the game itself would help out tremendously, and having a switchable difficulty from the get-go would really help (There's a difficulty setting in the menu technically, but it's set to Normal by default and can't be changed.) Every character has their own play style, and range from daft to impeccible.

-Max is fairly reckless with his bets and doesn't seem t have a grasp on when to fold. He's the easiest to eliminate for this reason,
-Strong Bad knows a good hand when he has one but is so absorbed in himself that he doesn't take the others' behavior into account.
-The Heavy takes into account every action taken by the other players when making his choices. If he goes all-in, you're up ♥♥♥♥ creek without a paddle.
-Tycho seems to have 2 modes: Fold at the start, or keep raising the stakes throughout.

Like I said, Poker Night is unforgiving if you're new to Poker. You may get some good, lucky hands when you first start playing but within an hour or so that luck will be gone, and you start getting crappier hands (or possibly, the opponents get better ones.)

There's an exploit to get around this however; If you go All-in at the very beginning of a hand, 9 times out of 10 everyone else will fold and you'll win the pot atuomatically. Do this enough times and with enough luck and you can eliminate everybody without actually playing.

The game also seems to have performance issues, as framerates are relatively unstable (though still within 18FPS at the very least and 30 at most) on a moderately fast system with a 1366x768 screen and the graphics set to preset number 4.

Overall, Poker Night is a fine game, but if you're new to Hold 'Em then you're in for a hell of a ride.

This was an interesting experience- and it was over too soon. Luckily the sequel is out and it's free as well. It's a nicely done platformer with lots of charm, along with a kickass look and soundtrack, and tight, responsive controls. I would only feel comfortable paying for this game in a bundle, however- It's too short to be a paid title on its own (At the time of writing I have about 20 minutes looged in the game and I've already beaten it.)

Considering it's a free game I can't really rant about the length of the game- about a half hour if you really suck at platformers. I enjoyed practically everything about this game - the graphics (which look very retro-Amiga), the music, the controls, everything. Keep in mind however that this is just a FREE game at the time of this review, and I would only feel comfortable paying for it if it was in a bundle with the prequel, Pink Hour, and the upcoming Kero Blaster by the same dev.

It's a very interesting take on the 2D platformer, where you use a camera to essentially craft new platforms temporarily to bridge gaps or to make a jump you just can't reach. The fact that there's a Workshop for this game infinitely inscreases replayability (that is, as long as people keep making levels for it using the built-in editor). My only gripe is that this game isn't in 16:9 aspect ration; you're stuck with 4:3. Overall though, it's a solid game that's well worth the 5 dollars (or, as I paid for it in a sale, 20 freaking cents) the devs are charging.
