Blender is a love-hate relationship.

A classic Xbox 360 game. Still as fun and infuriating as I remember.

Not usually my type of game but it's pretty fun. I don't recommend using a Gamecube controller.

I honestly prefer this over GTA 5 sometimes.

This game has made me realize that I probably should go to some sort of mental institution.

yes while i only have 75 hours on Steam, i only ever actually played on Quest. My Quest hours are too embarrassing for me to say. The 75 hours are just from me quickly loading into the game to test avatars and worlds I was working on.

The platform has a groomer problem and they will refuse to ever actually work on banning any of them.

They introduce updates that piss off the community for good reasons and yet they don't ever have the balls to walk stuff back if it was a bad idea.

The community is terrible, while they can't really fix this. this is more just a reason why this game should be avoided, most people in it are massive, walking, talking red flags.

The tools for the editor seem to not really help educate people on optimization, leading many to call it unoptimized when really it's because they gave the tools for anyone to do anything with and people don't realize you have to optimize it like an actual Unity game, such as baking occulusion culling, baking static shadows/lights, not using terribly high tri count models.

The game is fun when you don't have any issues.
But the more you play the more bugs you find, then the longer you play the more you realize that annoying bug that happens is still there. And then months past and that bug you found a long while ago is still there while new things get added.

The only way I've gotten a bug fixed was by making a big stink on the official Discord. I don't like that.
I shouldn't need to be the big bad guy and complain about a bug for months so eventually when a dev sees my complaint it'll actually get fixed.

It doesn't help the community defends the fact that there are annoying bugs that have been in the game for months or more that the devs know about (such as made a comment on it) but they haven't shown that they actually have worked on fixing what may be a simple issue or even been transparent about "Hey this annoying bug is kinda really complicated and may take awhile."

I tried to show a new person the game via a Discord stream once and they noticed a bug happened and they asked "How long has that been in the game?" and I can't really say more than "I don't know, it's been a few months atleast."

The game can attract new people with new features and such but it feels I've noticed people with more hours usually are pretty annoyed with the bugs. And most of the ones I do know stay pretty quiet on the matter because if they don't, everyone sees it as them hating the game or just them generally being bad because "It's a indie game."

My original review from years ago was positive, that was when I had about 50-100 hours.
