This is early release by far, and that being said there are unlimited bugs and issues, more than normal but not unexpected.

Its the types of bugs and content that has raised a huge red flag for me. If ever a game felt like it was going to be a early release money scam its this one. I and many others have been bit over and over by EA scams, Assets flips that were never becoming a real game. They were about getting money for nothing . This one is currently a free demo, so it would seem I am off track, But I think that is going to draw in many more to the actual money scam coming. I hope i am wrong but my EA spidey senses are off the rails. This feels like a Planet Crafter - Satisfactory based asset flip EA scam all the way. Buyer beware. They even have people trashing them in their forum on every post made by others but they go and ban the ones who comment against the spammers.... The whole thing feels like we are being being set up and played....

If I am wrong about the scam part I will update that later. The latter part I know for a fact!

See the 19.9 hours I have allegedly played? I have not played a single damn second of this joke of a game. They force you to load the game window to download the mandatory 125 ish GIG of files at the slowest possible speeds. I am on a fast fiber optics line, top 2 % of American high speed internet services in regards to speed and it was so slow it took 19.9 hours to download this crap. Is the game any good? I don't know but if it sucks this was the perfect way to keep you from getting a refund.

This buggy boring grind fest should be called "The Boring, Buggy Mr Grinder Sleep Simulator". You just sleep, eat, nap, eat grab a berry and sleep again. DO this day in and day out for months while trying to avoid the popo in between napping and sleeping just to find you have a game breaking bug that will not allow you to continue. Nothing like grinding 100 hours to find out it really was all for naught.

Early Access Review
FINAL UPDATE - January 2024 - This game is definitely ABANDONWARE ... again- The developer gave it another small try by claiming to be a new dev and adding a few assets and making a few changes to the game but at least this times he has now made public forum statements last October again that the old coding was not able to be updated. It would take a full rebuild from scratch that would never be worth the time vs money for the possible one sale a month that he was getting. He said it would be coming out of early access and no more updates unless by a small chance in his own occasional play through he found something he must update. He is aware there are still issues that occur or might occur but its over for this game again and i doubt anyone would ever put the effort into it again. I credit his with trying but this is a case where Steam should put an abandoned sign on it if they leave it up for sale.

The game is playable but was not and will not be completed as intended. Its might be worth a few bucks if you enjoy this type of game and fully understand its dead and we were all yet again robbed by Steams early access money grab program....

July 2022: There is a new dev, So there has finally been a new update after 3 years of abandoned silence. We will see where it goes and update accordingly.

(Jan 24 update to this above July 22 update.)
I and many others had never believed this statement of there being a new dev and in spite of some lies from the dev about being a new dav the evidence was pretty strong and now evident to me and most that it has always been the same guy. I guess he hoped the new dev story would bring in more money for the dead game. In spite of adding some new assets and a few changes it didn't. In this case we were nailed twice by the Steam Early Access money grab by the same dead game

Abandonware - The developer abandoned this game after we all paid money for it to start another "The Infected" with nearly identical assets. There has been much proof posted of this happening but they deny this and yet will block people from saying so by blocking their commenting in the forum.

This developer is one of many who do this and should be the reason that EA rules get changed. Maybe a $2.99 Max price on an EA game with 50% held by steam and then if a developer does not add significant content in a 3 month period the game gets a big warning of it being abandoned as incomplete and those scammed refunded at least that 50% steam held and then if no content after 6 months pull the game from being sold and ban the developer or company from scamming others on any other games.

I got the basic game, LOVED IT! PERIOD!! Then I made the mistake of adding various DLC's and the nightmare began.

I think people would be better off NOT buying anything past the base game until the fix all the DLC's If they would do that I would recommend this hands down. Until then DO NOT BUY DLC's.

The sound issues are dreadful. Sounds just start cutting out after a minutes or minutes depending on the map you are playing. Sounds from the tripod stand (Separate DLC) carry to the next weapon etc, Sounds from the wild to your walking just cut out in stages till there is nothing then occasionally very loud sounds unrelated to the action at hand etc.

The DOG DLC, OMG I despise that dog. I have tried to kill it repeatedly, I despise it. Try to move, its in front of you, try to drive the ATV, its in front of you. Tell it to stay as you sneak up on something and just as your are pulling the trigger the animal spooks, there is the M(*&^ F%$%$^& dog. ALWAYS spooking stuff, NEVER stays, Glitches out when tracking and starts tracking nothing, Starts spinning in circles, gets caught in bushes, HORRIBLE DLC. Oh, And as you are speeding across the map the dog warps in front of you at times knocking you around, sometimes flipping the vehicle, sometimes knocking you off a cliff killing you on occasion. Its ALWAYS IN THE WAY, ALWAYS BLOCKING YOU, ALWAYS WRECKING YOU.

Some maps have horrible graphical glitches, assets flashing all over the screen etc, Some maps you cannot even fast travel to certain outposts, you end up at the wrong one. One map outpost that you have to keep traveling to knocks you out and tosses you across the map, a few outposts you end up way out at the road. At times the animals spook so far away you think the wind carrying effect is backwards giving you away. There are many places the DLC Maps have rocks floating well above the roads or hills etc. It got worse with each DLC. There are many numerous issues that were compounded each DLC but not so much it is not likely a pretty easy fix,

I should have read the DLC reviews better. They were spot on.

The biggest problem is the lack of the developer giving a damn about glitches, they keep adding more on each money grabbing DLC's that add more glitches and apparently refuse to fix any of them. That being said the game has serious potential to be great.... That is if the developer would spend half the time fixing glitches that it does banning people who report these problems in the forums according to many reviews this game would be perfect. If they would fix the existing glitches I would be buying every future DLC the moment it released, Many people would. This game has so many potential DLC options from maps to animal and weapon additions it could be freaking fantastic..... IF they would just fix the issues.

I came back to this in Jan 22. I have tried 14 different starts on the easy planet and the game cannot progress, the AI stands around and dies, they will NOT do their jobs and repair things and so nothing is working, they are not working so you are not making anything to build and eventually the AI is all dying off and dead again in no time. If only there were negative this would be far below 0, Sub stars.

This game is absolute broken trash. I love these types of games, do exceptionally well when it can be played. The only thing waiting here is for you to have everyone starve to death, you can have all the farms you want, the idiot broken AI just stares at it and dies of starvation. You will be out of power, water and oxygen continuously until your people starve. I seen the positive reviews and apparently like amazon they were all paid reviews. I should have read some of the negatives to see that this is just part of this game, that and it is apparently just more Steam abandonware. Steam sets the time limit to where you cant figure this out before you are past getting your money back. I have bought numerous $7.00 games on here I have played for thousands of hours and they are still going strong and actually playable, this trash is not. This may be another game that must be modded to work but there should be a big warning for us before we buy them saying they will not run without mods. And with that we shouldn't have to pay the company that abandoned it.

Absolute Junk. Solo, is ok but if you want to play a multiplayer... Forget about it.

You can spend days trying to get in a game and never get anywhere because hackers and griefers are ruining every game they can get into. Some of the hacks kill the server and its game over. Others are coming in and knocking down the whole area of trees at once (which locks up the server) spawning countless cannibals, (which locks up the server) or you hve to deal with the countless, lifeless idiots who come in to destroy your buildings, scream on the microphone endlessly or kill everyome with hacks. There is no way to stop them, no way to figure out who is screaming, nothing.

The hackers and basement dwellers are controlling your game, not you. There are numerous idiots with hacks that are having you join the game where you are locked in the plane with cannibals everywhere, you can be minutes or hours in a game and lose it. It takes forever to find a real game and some idiot shows up and ruins it for everyone and moves to the next server, they just keep going all day.

A developer who cared at all about legitimate players would handle this immediately, not let it go for month and months or even years...... Sad....

If they get rid of the hackers / modders etc, allow you to know who is screaming in the mic and remove or silence them etc, then maybe the game would be worth it for the multiplayer aspect.

Its simple, I can no longer leave the negative in spite of how the game started with what i believe was outright fraud.

The game, its creators have served penance as a catholic might say? I believe they have gone many times above and beyond to make up for their deception at the beginning. This game helped them create a new game empire, but they put the work in to earn it, If you have never tried No Man's Sky, Its time, If you have never forgiven Hello Games, Its past time!

****************** The original negative until 12 of 2024 *********************************

One Man Lie is still a lie even if its just the "Next "lie.

Next is here, the game is still a mess, they have had a history of not fixing bugs at all, or fixing them once to break them again the next patch never to be fixed again. They had two years to fix those bugs and they never did. Instead they have brought us NMS 2.

The graphics are much better but we are back with the same bugs we had two years ago with disappearing ships, stacking ships etc and now many new ones. The control system has become impossible to use, I managed to get killed 6 times in 5 minutes with the weapon system glitching and blowing me up and instantly killing me the instant I try to interact with anything. My base is gone, I am stuck in the system I am in because the ship will not warp now, Oh, but it will certainly burn the fuel that I cannot find here in this system trying to do it. I am on a very relaxed security planet and if I start mining a simple rock the sentinels come a flocking and then I am being attacked, you cannot run fast enough to get away without running miles from your ship. Going underground is not helpful as they just hang out above you. Kill them and they just send many more. They are harder to kill but hell you blow yourself up before you can get one down. Graphics lag is just as bad before and while I suppose that's good considering the graphics improvements there are other aspects to help drag the game down further. Nearly all of out tech is obsolete now and requires a whole new system just to build the stuff back up again. There are less components now to clutter your inventory but you are required to carry and find 10 times more crap than before and good luck finding any of it.

This could easily be called No Man's Sky 2 but the bugs are just as numerous if not worse than before. We will see if things improve in the next week but I feel as if we went down this same path of hope 2 years ago.

I thought it was fun, until the bugs kicked in full tilt. People starving to death next to a full storage barn, freezing to death when its July and 80 and plenty of firewood around. Having 6 workers on a field against a storage barn and getting it less than 10% harvested by the time a late freeze came in. The entire game is broken at its core. Too bad people give all of these false positives, if they just told the truth you wouldn't even buy the game at $7 like I did based on the completely false reviews of this abandoned and incomplete Alfa game.. There was great potential but they dropped it for whatever reason and left us the shell.
