I love the Fallout Series, but this freaking update broken the same so much for me, even without mods, it crashes just trying to get to Vault 111 in the /OPENING/.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bethesda, stop messing with stuff that people fixed.

Updated:
Turns out it was mainly Weapon Debris. Still, a graphics setting that you wouldn't think should cause a hard crash being in the game still is unacceptable.

A post-apocalyptic vacation.

As a long time player of the Fallout franchise in general, Fallout 76 IS FUN don’t get me wrong. The looting, shooting, and base building cycle is additive… For a while. Once you hit that Lv50 crafting requirements, some materials are scarce (LOOKING AT YOU BALLISTIC FIBER… Unless I just didn’t know where to look...)

For those who play it every day, I’m sure they have a good time. The improvements from launch are substantial so hats off to you for sticking with it.

But between the bullet sponge enemies unless you build a specific way, with specific weapons, the STILL extremely limited inventory space for CAMP’s, that basically necessitate the Fallout 1st subscription JUST to have room for JUNK to build better weapons, armor, bases, ect~, I cannot recommend this game unless you play this at least every day to make the most out of a subscription.

As for me, I’ll go play Fallout 4, with mods for my Fallout fix, and Final Fantasy XIV for my MMO fix.

All jokes aside, Elden Ring is probably the best iteration of the Souls format yet. (Bloodborne not forgotten).

Taking it open world opens up so much for the player in terms of "Hey, are you bashing your head against this wall? Why not go over here and get stronger first and STILL make progress." has been a god send in terms of keeping me involved. I'm not the BEST souls player, nor will I ever be, which has always made me put down DS1, DS2 and DS3 for days at a time to reset myself, but Elden Ring fixed that by just GIVING me places to go explore and loot, and still make progress.

As for proformance, They made it for PS5 and they know the specs of that. they can account for everything there. PC? SO many configurations. I personally didn't have trouble (except the Tree Guardian for some odd reason) running the game. Why everyone else is is a shot in the dark, but I DO HOPE Easy Anti Cheat gets the boot. I /hate/ that thing. It honestly might be the cause of a LOT of frame drops.

Heading Forward with the Series

I've been playing this series for a LONG time. Like, longer than some of you on here have even been alive. (god I'm old), but I can say that this is the first time since Vesperia where I've had this much fun or connected to the cast this quickly.
Is the story the best? No. But then again, I think that's where the tales games shine. Simple, predictable plots (for the most part) with a nice spicy twist someplace but with enough emotion to make you feel for the cast.
It's pretty great.

Biggest improvement is the smoothness of game play and how everything's been streamlined so you FOCUS on doing cool combos and stuff. With TP now being a recharging resource, you don't have to sit around and waste items to restore it after/during battle to do decent damage. Everything is buttery smooth to combo from one move to the next, but I can tell there is enough there that people who REALLY get into it are going to do insane things.

A new hunt for a new time.
I can't say anything that hasn't been said. Monster Hunter; World is fantastic, a step forward for the series that's its needed for years. Sadly, as an OLD school player... it feels off.

And that's a personal problem for us old schoolers. Things are fluid, responsive, and less punishing. You'd think that be a good thing, but for us who are used to getting punished for whiffing an attack, hitting the wrong body part, or simply forgetting to stock up and eat before a mission? This game is forgiving as hell. But I understand why. Too many people don't have time anymore to spend HUNDRED of hours in a game (in a short time anyway.)

So, while I still love the old school games, I think this is a step in the right direction,

Early Access Review
Better than the first game by miles, by sheer virtue that the netcode works properly without dropping every few minutes and positioning is accurate, and add on top that the game is fun & brutal? YES. Yes this is a great game!

Also, it does NOT feel in development apart from the lore entries.

Got this from Humble Bundle for free... So yea...

Back in the day, I grabbed this for a measly 4 bucks from GameStop for the X360 and enjoyed it. BUT I never did all the side stuff nor get to play online (couldn't afford a LIVE sub...) so now that I have it on Steam, some of the flaws show but I still the goofy characters and the GODS OF ROCK soundtrack. Now I'm playing to explore and ♥♥♥♥ now.

Death is the Powerhouse of the Cell

Personally, I’ve been burned or irritated by Early Access Games until I saw this being played by CzBacklash, or Chris Zito of Team Four Star on his and takahata101 MEMESTREAM they do and instantly I said “I. NEED. IT.”.

And I’m glad I threw caution to the wind and picked it up. I like Rogue-lites (not rouge-likes. Screw those.) when they actually make me FEEL like I’m making some kind of progress, and forgive me for this, but I feel it took the great parts from Dark Souls, Metroid, and Castlevania.

So if you like all three of those games, you SHOULD like Dead Cells

Harvest Moon for PC... But better
If you enjoyed Harvest Moon back in the day then by all accounts your probably gonna love Stardew Valley, and even if you didn't, You might enjoy this one due to the MANY MANY quality of life improvements over the Harvest Moon formula and general lack of HAVING to farm and many other ways to earn gold.

Great visuals and combat, but sadly a bog standard MMO
First off I’m going to say this, TERA is a solid well made and great looking MMO. But thats the issue. I feel they bank way too much on its combat system and doesn’t try anything else to make it less like World of Warcraft. Sure that’s a solid game as well (or was for me years ago…) but its STANDARD. It does one thing.

Perhaps I’m just used to other MMO’s like Mabinogi or to a lesser extent Ragnarok Online where you have complete control over your character. IE Gear, stats, abilities so that it’s YOUR character where as TERA, World of Warcraft and other MMO’s in that vain that your only playing a class and the most you can possibly do to make your character yours is simply the look and armor color.

tl;dr Good, solid, but standard MMO to kill your time. Oh and revealing armor. Probably not a proper review without mentioning that.
