the peer to peer connection, or net code as they call it, is based on where you are in the world which will lead to how the connect works. For example, someone in china fights someone in America. Due to the distance between the two, wonky issues will acquire such as hit boxes not being correct, attacks not connecting, hitboxes lingering, the opponent your facing teleporting around or runs in place, the hits from your attacks or their having a heavy delay, etc. That issue happen to me just now, your attack landing from a far away distance despite I rolled away. Sorry, I'm going to have to block you due to Fromsoft's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ connection. I'd rather not try to fight you while your character's attacks have that incorrect. Facing lagging opponents is never face.
