The game doesn't actually have all of the "supported" languages that it lists on the store page (in fact, it only has five, and is missing the key language I actually got this for - Spanish). And even within those languages it does contain they aren't even accurate and contain English words instead of the correct language (IE: French has "eye" for eye instead of the correct "œil").

The language selection should also actually state what language it is instead of trying to play a guessing game of flags.

Avoid this game like the plague. The grammar is atrocious (periods do not exist), you can't get past the first 2 minutes of the game, absolutely horrendous "8 way" movement... But hey, if you like to battle, the guards will infinitely battle you! Oh and don't worry, they can't actually damage you... at all. So if you want to just grind and grind and grind then go at it!

Should it ever be playable again and I want to subject myself to pain, I will return and give it another shot. Judging by how the other games from this person went, however, I'm not expecting too much.

(Before anyone says anything about my time played... it's due to idling it for the cards.)

Oh, and before I forget to mention it... If you want to give some random person money to buy "Cid's Theme" from Final Fantasy VII, then either this game or the first Final Quest are right up your alley! This iconic track from Final Fantasy VII is included in the BGM folder for both game. Also included? Some Wild Arms music!

Super Space Pug would best be described as a Super Space Mess. The hitboxes are absolutely atrocious and will cause you to get hit by things you shouldn't have actually been hit by. There's pickups, but you'll find yourself getting hit by miles away objects trying to get them. The pug moves far too fast for being "in space". The description does mention that this is a "speedy bullet hell", but I would describe this as being too fast and not enough bullet hell.

There are no unlockables to get, leaving you with a black pug on a black background shooting at dark coloured objects (since, you know, you're in space). There's no options menu, and the leaderboards will take you out of the game (and, in one case after a level, trying to cancel out of submitting my score closed the game).

I cannot recommend Super Space Pug at all. If you're in the market for bullet hell games, there are far better ones out there on Steam.

Withering Kingdom is a wave-based shooter style game in which you need to take down waves of weird looking aliens. This game came out as part of Digital Homicide's May 27th "Release 5 games at once" spree, and from what I've read, it's an exact clone of Wyatt Derp (WK is the only one I decided to purchase to try and play). Withering Kingdom features absolutely no main menu screen, immediately dumping you into the game with no explanation as to what the controls are. Expect to be clicking your left mouse key a lot to do your shooting and praying that the hits actually hit.

The game is a mess. The upgrades (from what I could tell) didn't actually seem to do anything. The enemy models glitch out a lot, and according to another review the alien part of them can even fly off to reveal a cowboy underneath (gee). There is MINOR controller support, but by minor I mean you can move and open up the upgrade menu.

Avoid this game. It's a mess, the character models bug out, and the hitboxes seem to be all over the place.

Early Access Review
My full thoughts can be found on The Backlog. I will do a full review if/when this ever leaves Early Access.[www.the-backlog.net]

TribeQuest: Red Killer is yet another mobile port to hit the Steam storefront. After the game had no reviews for nearly a week I decided to just drop the .99 and give it a try. The first major thing to note is that the game in the trailer is a much older version of the game (3 years old), and the game in the screenshots (that work) is a more accurate representation.

Red Killer is, unfortunately, currently just another poor mobile port. The physics in the levels are somewhat broken and things will be left in positions that should be impossible. The English is also lackluster, with the game featuring a lot of missing punctuation and some misspelled words. There's also poor hints as to what you're actually supposed to do when you start the game outside of the game being called "Red Killer". There's no in-game options, the "pause" button doesn't actually pause the game, and the quit button doesn't actually work. The game is also not properly widescreen, and if you play at any sort of widescreen resolution you will be stuck with bars on the side.

Until the physics can get massively cleaned up I suggest avoiding this. To the developer, I suggest trying to actually make this game look like it belongs on Steam/PC and not make it be just another bad mobile port. I also suggest cleaning up the presentation of the game on the store page - get an updated trailer that isn't just failing at levels over and over. Make all of the screenshots actually work and have them be something that would work to sell the game.

My full review of Episode 1 can be found on The Backlog.[www.the-backlog.net]

Selenon Rising is a scifi + noir visual novel in which you will follow Violet, an esper who has the power to read the thoughts of people. In Episode 1, you will dive into life with her, and you will quickly start to question who your true allies are. Alongside the "regular" visual novelness of this game, you will also need to perform investigations. This will start with you looking through an area to find clues, and then you will end up using your powers to try and get the truth about something out of someone. This happens twice within Episode 1, and both times will really make you think about what it is you need to choose for a situation.

I overall enjoyed my time with Selenon Rising, and I only really found one issue while I was playing it. During some text boxes, there will end up being far too much text for the size of the box, causing it to go out of that box. Other than that, the art and sounds are absolutely fantastic, and I really enjoyed how much the investigation parts made me have to think out what I was doing.

Cyber City 2157 follows a crazy day in the life of someone living in a city that is constantly growing. You'll follow him from his dream before he wakes up all the way until something happens to him based on the choices you make. I found the story somewhat hard to understand, partially due to the build I played having some absolutely horrendous English. Some fixes have been made to it since then but there is still a lot of broken English littered throughout.

The graphics can sometimes be hard on the eyes while reading, especially if they're trying to move at the same time. The sounds are nothing to write home about, and I often found myself wondering if I had heard them somewhere before.

Even if the English gets completely fixed, I have a hard time recommending this game. The story is all over the place, and the current state of the English doesn't help, nor do the sometimes harsh on your eyes graphics.

One of the first things I fell in love with when I saw Epistory was the graphics. Setting into the unwritten world, seeing it unfold as I play, it was an absolute blast. The story is beautifully written, and as someone who really enjoys "artsy" kinds of games, the game felt all together quite nice.

Epistory plays out sort of like Bastion mixed with typing action. You'll need to face down hordes of insects to unravel the story. This can sometimes get to be a bit difficult when you get to the stages where the words blend in with the background. Near the end of the game I found myself having to squint quite a lot in order to actually see the words.

Epistory gets an easy recommendation from me if you love this kind of game.

My full review can be found on Final Fantasy and More.[www.ffandmore.com]

Final Fantasy IX is a game that has always been near to my heart. As far as mobile to PC Final Fantasy ports go, Final Fantasy IX is extremely solid. If you want to play the game in any resolution besides 4:3 do note that there will be grey sidebars to "fill in" the extra screen space. While the character models do generally look quite good, there are some ugly moments when they are put up against screens that weren't upgraded and still feature the old PSX graphics.

I highly suggest against playing this game with headphones, especially if you are sensitive to high pitch noises, as the sound effects are completely messed up. Some key ones, such as the noise for Trancing, will absolutely destroy your ears if you are playing with headphones.

If you are looking to pick up the game for the achievements, or have never played it before, then the Steam version is excellent for that. If you're happy with simply playing the PSX version then feel free to pass on this, or just wait until it is on sale and grab it then.

WOLFLAME is a pretty solid 2d shmup. Featuring several difficulties, you'll be able to shoot your ways through 10 levels, probably dying quite a few times along the way. Don't expect much in the way of story while you're in the game - when you start a new game, you'll immediately be tossed in the level and will get to start shooting. There are pickups you can get along the way which will give you two additional cannons that have one of three powers (depending on the colour of the pickup when you grabbed it).

The only bug I encountered in the game was an infinite lives glitch (video of this within my full review). It is fairly frame precise to actually pull off, but I was able to pull it off twice in one run.

If you're a fan of shmup games then be sure to pick up this one. Easy recommendation from me.
