Early Access Review
TL;DR: It's alright. Some things are a little off, but then again there are some novel features that make up for everything else. This is the work of a small group of people, and I just respect the work that's been put into it.

I'm reviewing this game as I think it's ready, now that it got the major update that added some new vehicles and doubled (or close to it) the map size. Let me say first that this game feels odd at first, but you get used to it quickly. I guess it's just the different handling and game engine. Looking at the credits I can see 4 different individuals working on the game, which is quite impressive given the amount of content readily available.

I like:
+The variety of vehicles and how each have a different feeling and play style.
+The variety of jobs. You load your own cargo if that is necessary, and for added immersion I really like the option. I think you can skip it if it gets repetitive.
+The variety of locations in the map. Especially the new locations all feel like they have soul, and I enjoy checking every bit of the map.
+The fact that I can just go off road, use the fun ramps etc to jump around and have fun, even during jobs.
+The gorgeous skybox and how moonlight reflects bounces off my car.
+The tracks i leave on dirt. They look cool.

I find these weird:
-The way the cliffs/hillsides/rocky places look. Almost everything in this game looks passable as a modern, good looking graphics. But the terrain needs a little work.
-Similarly, stuff that touch water feels weird. Water does not react to the ferry floating over it or the bridge, or the coastline.
-The lack of variety between AI vehicles.
-How AI drives a little too crazy sometimes (this might be intended, in that case idk what to say, maybe it's cool that the some cars drive like maniacs)
-The graphics are, like I said, passable as good. In some angles things look perfect. Sometimes, like when the sun is rising, the shun shines on the cliffs in a weird way and I don't like how it looks. It's those small things like that that keep it from being perfect, which is a good thing, in my opinion.

This is a different game compared to ETS 2/ATS etc. The focus here is on the variety of jobs and vehicles, not a huge map. However, the map is large and feels alright. Like I said, you can just get a fast car and mess around and explore more of it. Which is impossible in any other sim I've played.

I played this every day on my phone when it was new and had like 30% of the features it has now. It's always been a pleasure to see this game grow. The dev behind it seems like a nice guy who just wants to put something nice out there listening to the feedback and I just respect that.

It's a great game but playing it in 2021, I easily understand why it's getting a remaster. It's very dated both graphically and mechanically. Even the controversial spin-off, American Nightmare, looks better and feels better to play around than this. In any case, it's a good game to buy on sale.

Every enemy encounter is a jumpscare, even if I hear them before they notice me

Edit: i've officially lost my ability to get jumpscared playing this game for a bit longer. i'll keep you updated when or if i beat it.

Last Edit: I actually beat the game and moved on then forgot editing here. Yeah it was a blast. Now I'm invincible and also can hold my breath for about 5 seconds longer. This game added, at the very least, 1 inch to me

It's a great game that would have been a 10/10 easily were it not for its lacking points in level design. I couldn't help but feel that some places were copied and pasted, but this was a rare occurrence. It's a nice TPS with a fun campaign and a still-alive multiplayer community, though I haven't really tried joining their ranks myself.

It's a game made with multiplayer as the focus of gameplay. You can play against the bots and have satisfactory results as they are decent at the game, too. The game sports a very short story mode that rewards you with some new playable characters and short comics about them, which is a very good addition.

That said, you're probably gonna play this against randoms or friends, not bots. It's pretty fun either way.

It's a decent FPS rogue-lite especially enjoyable if you already like Borderlands and Risk of Rain 2 since this game combines some elements from both. You have 5 heroes to play as. You find weapons and upgrade them during your run. You enhance some aspects of your hero as well, those upgrades come in 2 types of buffs but I won't delve too deep into that. Elemental weapons play a strong role just like in the Borderlands games, and perhaps more so than in them. When you die, you can use a special currency you'd earned during your adventure to upgrade your stats permanently, so no run is a waste. I haven't played enough to talk about the balancing and difficulty but so far it plays nicely.
