I think it works better as a mobile game with touch controls. For PC, the pacing and hotkeying/controls aren't very smooth; for example there's no hotkey to advance to the next puzzle, and exiting a hint takes two inputs. That being said, still somewhat enjoyable, very aesthetic, and the daily puzzle is nice.

I played a bit of Ignite but that just showed me how bad the honing system is and how much gear RNG for literally any endgame ilvl increase, so you have no easy idea what you can reasonably aim for unless you assume the worst with bad luck protection. No thanks! Honing RNG is such an awfully sad idea. I have better weekly grinds to do in other games that actually get me playable rewards.

More of a walking simulator than I expected, which is not an inherent problem but I didn't connect with the characters either. The devs did a great job, but this one just ain't for me.

Sometimes it feels like the UX and workflow for doing the simplest task can be so needlessly strung out and frustrating. Like talking to the bus seal, or knowing which platforms of the dragon you can jump onto. The visuals, writing and art are beautiful; the experience of the gameplay to get there is not.

A thought provoking continuation of the first game that sagely approaches some difficult topics. A worthy sequel.

The controller support isn't really that good apart from combat, and honestly it feels like a far older game than just 2015. There's a lot going on with the interface (which is okay, but it's not really explained that well) and the story seems a bit run-of-the mill. I can't say it felt very exciting. At least the characters are dubbed and the combat effects look nice.

FP2 is rougher than its predecessor. It still provides a compelling story and experience, but is not without bugs, missteps, or under-refined mechanics.

While this is a factory game, it also has incredibly confusing UX. Tiny UI buttons hidden halfway in the corner of the screen doesn't make it easy to pick up this game. And as others say, it can be extremely overwhelming to learn, especially the new RTS mode (why would you put an RTS lite in this minimalist format?). I would recommend starting with the "old" mode even if it's less "polished".

The screenshots are not super indicative of the UI/UX and zoomed in quite a lot, but they are in-game footage. As for the gameplay, it just felt too clunky and overly detailed for the sake of it, rather than to be fun. It has too many complexities to really be smooth - one example was that when filtering colonists for the dome transfer tutorial, I tried banning scientists and immediately... the first two colonists were scientists. I'm sure it has its niche for detailed spreadsheet planners, and it might be more relatable to Grand Strategy players or nostalgic to older titles for some, but I didn't personally enjoy it very much.

Of course as a Supcom fan I wanted to love this, but it's like the devs never playtested this at all. There were several UI bugs in the tutorial like weird repeated sound cues, or scrolling on the tutorial box moving the zoom. The tutorial throws 5 kinds of factories at you without explaining why any of them matter. Moving between planets and space view camera is atrocious and should probably just be done top down. Planetary polar camera should work but somehow just doesn't.

RTSes live or die by their fundamentals like their UI. I'd probably just suggest BAR or Zero-K instead.
