Synopsis: You're a new drug that this girl(who I'm assuming suffers from some dissociative disorder) is taking and she's going to the store to buy milk, how you handle the scenario is a judgement on whether or not the new drug is working.
Opinion:
This VN is a unique experience to be sure; the lazy and at times ominous audio really fits well with the increasingly abstract and disturbing visuals. However, if you already have issues with psychosis/dissociation/intrusive thoughts this game can really be draining.

A very nice follow-up that adds some extra challenge and a new map styles/settings that make for a spookier game!
Unlike the main game you will have to manually set your resolution in {C:\Users\Public\Documents\TimeGate Studios\FEARXP\settings.cfg} if you're not playing on a 4:3 monitor.

Like HL1 or SoF, but with spooky hollywood stuff. Very enjoyable and action packed experience that still holds a candle to new titles. They do have 21:9 perspective on this, but not the DLC. For that you'll have to look for the config file{C:\Users\Public\Documents\TimeGate Studios\FEARXP\settings.cfg} and adjust the "Screen Height" and "Screen Width" manually.

If you haven't already, grab this title when it's on sale next time, you won't regret it!

It's the industry standard, it's pretty useful especially if you're in to overclocking. Unlike games, this piece of software is one that basically comes with a "limited update/upgrade" licence that lasts about 3 years.

I bought the game in 2013, so I've bought the TS upgrade and the PR upgrade. That being said, it does seem like we're getting less for more every "upgrade".

Like the TS upgrade was awesome because a bunch of "free" feature tests and api things were released with it as well to show case DX12s capabilities individually. Or if you want a score for a very specific task. Now it's a single benchmark(not sure if you can even count Speedway as one lol) Also kind of confused as to why Intel's XeSS is free feature, but FSR 2 isn't, they're both open source? lol

Honestly ya'll got to cleanup your marketing/messaging so that people understand what they're purchasing, also, maybe tone it down a little on the greed.

PROS
-Beautiful large world
-Monsters(for the most part) have their own unique personalities
-Large weapon/armor variety
-Awesome world use(obstacles, traps etc)
-Very customizable play style

CONS
-omg the grind
-Cameras and mechanics are a little clunky
-Weird choice of menu design
-Re-skin monsters

My biggest peeve of this is the design for the COOP. I bought this with my partner to play together, but you can't progress through the story together at all unless you use this annoying SOS mechanic and at least one of you has completed the mission. Seems very counter-intuitive for a game that's supposed to be online/multiplayer.

That being said, I've fallen in love with the world and the thrill of high risk/high reward combat that you can get from it. I definitely recommend picking it up on sale and when you're looking for something that's veryu different from other titles

PROS
  • TressFX
  • Nice scenery
  • Decent physics
  • Excellent lighting(AO)
  • Decent story

CONS
  • TressFX limited to Lara
  • Console-like interactive scenes
  • Extemely repetitve climb and fall scenes
  • Horrible shooting mechanics
  • Stupid AI (I.E: You kill somebody and they all immediately know where you are)

RECOMMENDATION
Considering I got this game free with the purchase of a 7970, I'd say it's well worth playing. But considering it's not free to most. No, I would not recommend this game for PC unless one could aquire it for a $10-$20 price range.

CS:GO Review
Engine still broken after idk how long. Stopped playing when the buggy as hell CSS was released try to get back into it but the registry and .netcode in this version of the game is still so awful that it's nearly unplayable. The community consists of "die-hard try-hards" and people who haven't the slightest clue as to what they are doing. Ranks are useless and baseless as it falls under a W/L ratio, rather than a K/D ratio like its forefather CAL.
With this release Valve continues to make money off of other people's ideas with stupid things like gun skins and lacks the originality it once had with it's release of HL1 and 2. All in all this game is a huge waste of money and does not give anything to the modding community that once made this game thrive. Forgetting the average age of a gamer and turning it's back on the people that made CS a once world renouned title.

UPDATE 2018 Dec 7: Once again Valve has ignored what the fans asked for and keeps trying to pursue new markets with this game shunning the people who make it popular, making it FTP, making people pay for Prime Matchmaking, and adding a battle royale mode that nobody asked for, which is bound to face the same problems as PUBG with it's rampant hacking. I now prounounce CS dead from this day forward.

Pros:
-Moderately Demonstartes the affects of PTSD in soldiers
-Cover-to-Cover Movement
-Story line has more dimensions to it then most modern shooters about war
-Graphics were done quite well, given that they were achieved with DX9 standards

Cons:
-Does a poor job of creating an illusion of choice(non-linear) story line
-Highest level of difficulty; "Fubar" is relatively unplayable
-Too many actions assigned to 'spacebar'
-DX9 causes a very "cartoon-like" effect in graphics
-AI is very stupid until you play at "Hardcore Mode"
