I can't recommend it. The visuals and sound are all this game does well. I get that the developers wanted to make a game where you feel isolated in an alien world, but there is literally no story OR quality gameplay to carry the game. Your melee weapon is clunky and has to recharge. The only good weapon you get in the game is in the late game, and the ammo for it is very, very limited. It seems as though combat was tacked on last minute.

Honestly, the game is perfect if you need something to kill time between classes. It's short, challenging enough to keep you addicted, but it's not so addictive that you'll skip pre-calculus class to play another round. If your name is Evan and you are studying Mechanical Engineering this review is aimed specifically at you. PLEASE GO TO PRE-CALC. I AM NOT TUTORING YOU AGAIN OVER THE LAST CHAPTER.

Yeah, so this game is pretty rad.

MindTex 2 is a great alternative to Crazybump when generating normal, ambient occlusion, specular and gloss maps for your 3D modeling projects. I've used it for countless projects and can't recommend it enough.

I can't recommend this nautical paragraph simulator. I started playing it five years ago, and lost interest after the first four hours. Recently I picked it back up to give it another shot, because I saw it had spawned a sequel, Sunless Skies. While I can commend the unique setting and world building in Sunless Sea, I cannot recommend it as a positive gaming experience because of the incredible amount of grinding, tedious menus, limited shipbuilding options and shallow combat system.

Short and spooky game about monsters who are mad at you for stealing their soup.

Pros: An engaging story, well-written dialogue, and interesting characters. The art is a mix of pixel-based assets and hand-drawn character portraits, but executed well.

Cons: The turn-based combat leaves much to be desired. Early in the game there is a sniping component, but it is completely absent for the rest of the experience. I'm saddened that it is not in the latter half of the game.

The verdict: I would recommend this game. The story, characters, and geopolitical intrigue are worth the time invested, and since the creators are working on additional chapters, there is a chance the sniping mechanics will rise again.

Incredibly fun, but also incredibly short. I can describe the combat as half Paper Mario, half Candy Crush.

Is it worth 14.99? No, not unless additional free DLC is released. However, I would suggest picking it up when it's on sale, especially if you are a Binding of Isaac fan.

Pros: Creative weapons, unique humor, decent crafting mechanics. Fun enough for one run through the game.

Cons: Monotonous environments, bland story. I finished the main campaign but the game doesn't have enough of a fun factor to justify slogging through the bonus challenge modes.

Verdict: Void Bastards is alright, but I wouldn't recommend paying $29.99 for it. Wait till it goes on sale.

Good grief I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for days.

Not the most in-depth survival game, but still pretty fun. The main game play loop focuses around managing your four health bars (hunger, thirst, temperature and exhaustion), gathering supplies to maintain those bars, and keeping your raft afloat. There are lots of ways to die and plenty of things to craft too. I'd recommend it.
