Thanks a lot!
Trails in the Sky (sometimes called FC for First Chapter)
Trails in the Sky SC
Trails in the Sky the 3rd
Trails from Zero (releases in English month)
Trails to Azure (localized early 2023)
Trails of Cold Steel I, II, III, and IV
Trails into Reverie (localized 2023)
Kuro no Kiseki (released in Japan last year)
Kuro no Kiseki II: Crimson Sin (releases in Japan this month)
Sen no Kiseki is just the Japanese title for Trails of Cold Steel.
Hajimari no Kiseki is Trails into Reverie which is being localized next year. The game takes place after Cold Steel IV and wraps up remaining threads from the Crossbell and Erebonia Arcs while setting up for the next games in the series. It's kinda like Trails in the Sky the 3rd.
Kuro no Kiseki is the newest Arc that is just releasing in Japan. I takes place in Calvard. No localization has been officially announced yet, but there is a very high chance it is already in the works and will probably be released sometime after Reverie is localized. Since Reverie is 2023, I would guess 2024 for Kuro, but that's just a guess. It could be sooner or later than that, but for now we'll have to wait and see.
Kuro no Kiseki
Hajimari no Kiseki
Sen no Kiseki
All legend of the heroes games, but i have no idea where to put them, I think Sen no Kiseki is an alternative version to Cold Steel, but otherwise no idea.
Gotcha. Funny how a branching game just explodes into its own world and mythos. Eh. not complaining. Currently deep into CS1, after just recently finished Sky trilogy.
Do you know if the games before the Liberl arc contribute to the overall storyline at all, or does Trails in the Sky basically start off the huge epic that it is to this day, independent of the other numbered games before it?
As a JRPG fan, I've had Cold Steel sitting in my library waiting for me to pick it up for a while. I decided to finally play it, but I took a quick look at the guides section first because I hate missables. I found you're guide instead, and the last month or so has been a wild ride as I discovered the beauty of Trails in the Sky. Thanks for opening my eyes to this amazing series and long legacy!
