Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization doesn't have his own Controller support. Instead it uses the Steam Controller Support. That means to get your controller to work u need to make sure that steam know u have a controller.#

Here is what i did with my XBOX controller.
Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings
Make sure it looks similiar like that:

Restart ur steam (and game) and it should work.

If not check your windows controller settings, it should look like that:

This should fix your controller problems

i think you might be getting confused with sao hollow fragment, which has controller support issues (but really good mouse and keyboard controls for some reason).

cant say ive had any issues controller wise with hollow realization, seeing as mouse and keyboard controls are basically unplayable for most gamers on it...

FORCE THE GAME TO USE THE CONTROLLER THEN OPEN STEAM IN BIG PICTURE AND GO TO THE GAME BUT MAKE SURE YOUR USING YOUR CONTROLLER AND CLICK PLAY WITH THE CONTROLLER AND BOOM NOW YOUR USING IT
