Think this layout will work for the XB1 Bluetooth Controller as well? I would want to think it would in theory.

Yeah. it wasn't until after commenting I realized how old this guide was whoops.
Seems like nothing has changed though unfortunately. Thanks for the reply anyway.

I have no idea. At the time of me making this guide, there wasn't but there could be one now.
Doubt it though since this game is very old but I do have more controllers to test this now if need be so I'll have to see how a PS4 controller will respond.

Any idea if there are any mods to replace the button names in the game's UI with Xbox button icons, similar to how Psychopad does for Psychonauts? I've tried searching online, even on Gamefront with no avail.

Good job translating the buttons, but the guide title is a somewhat misleading.

They don't have anything to fix it at the moment, as far as I know.
You could just find a mod on gamefront.

I am confused by this guide. Where can I find out how to make the xbox360 controller work for this game?
