You need blueprints to build a shop. Blueprints can be bought with reputation points, those are the hearts in the upper left corner of the screen.
Reputation raises automaticly if customers buy something in your stores.
Stores can be build with money.
Stores can also be upgraded. You get upgrade points rather randomly but they're free and stackable (store-bound) if you don't use them. You get five points every once in a while and can spend these to upgrade the stock or the quality of the store.
Spending five points to quality raises the maintenance cost by 300 dollars for this store.
The mall can be upgraded (four times) if you met the criterias.

To get your first achievements you have to build stores and make money, so buy some blueprints with the reputation points.
Watch your stores closely, if the stock reaches zero your customers can't buy anything, so you have to upgrade your stock.
When the time comes and your stock is stable, you can focus on upgrading the quality of your goods.
Have in mind that quality improvement raises your maintenance cost as well. Later more.
Don't invest anything in advertising at this time.
If you running a propper business you can begin with getting big.

You can get all loan achievements at the beginning.
Save your game, take the loans, wait for the achievements and exit the game without saving.


Get every blueprint with your reputation points. That will give you all blueprint achievements.
Build an elevator at the entrance if you're planning to expand your business.(Elevator achievement)
This will shorten the way to the upper floors (you can build 14 floors), because your customers have only two minutes to get in and out.
Build a second floor. (Floor achievement)
The hallway is pointless, so you might want to save your game before you build this.

Buy all combinations before you upgrade your mall !
You can't build all combinations at level one, but you cannot buy the combinations after you upgraded your mall. The game is a little buggy at this point.
But....you could take the loans, buy all combinations and write them down.
You don't need to have them, you just need to know where you place the stores in those combinations to get the Build-combination achievements.

Total reputation (goal 10,000), customer (goal 10,000) and total sales (goal 20,000,000) achievements will be obtained automaticly as you progress through the game.
Monthly sales are dependent on your performance as a mall owner, but should be no problem to reach the 2,000,000 if you build more than 50 stores and upgrade their quality regularly.

Build a total of 50 stores to get the build stores achievements.
Reach 2,3,4 and 5 Stars Mall achievements are simple. Upgrade your mall to it's full potential.

Buy everything in the investment section to get all mall, resident and office achievements.
Advertisements have little effect, but can have great impact on your income.
You should wait until your mall produces at least 500,000 dollars per day.

To reach 2,000,000 dollar maintenance you have to be persistent and very patient.
For starters, build a decent mall to generate revenue, upgrade your stores and invest in customers.
Don't invest in advertisements ! You need your money.
Use only five or six floors for your mall. You can prepare the other floors if you must, and build an elevator near the entrance for every floor.
Wait and improve until you get 500,000 to 1,000,000 per day.


If you bought everything and have only maintenance achievements left, a nice bank account and still a great income (+500,000), we can move to the hardest part:


You may pause the game to avoid those disturbing robberies while you build 150 times the building with the highest maintenance cost. The Ticket Outlet. This will provide you with 225,000 maintenance cost.
But that's just the beginning. Ignore the stock this time and focus on quality to raise the maintenance cost even higher. Don't worry, you can sell 1500 tickets each day, that's more than enough for your customers.

Remember that upgrade points are stackable. All you can do now is whether attend the game and upgrade your stores from time to time, or just let it run for a few hours and do something useful, like shopping, watching TV, work out, whatever. Don't forget to press fast forward!
After a few hours you can save your game and start your upgrades.
Your additional upgrade points can be unlocked if you click multiple times at the upgrade button or hold "L". An Autoclicker is very handy at this point.
