Chinese Dub Fix (In English)

Distraught over the lack of Chinese Dub for Steam? Have no fear.

A quick note before we begin, if you do not want to lose the English dub of the game, do not use this guide.
Download the Chinese voice files. Remove the Dot from the link.

Drop this into the in steamapps/common/dynastywarriors9/data/cmn_dx11 folder. Go into each respective folder and delete the english one. Rename the cn folders to en. Presto chango, it works.

I wouldn't recommend going into the language settings because it will revert back to Japanese or English, so ensure you have your subtitles set to what you wish.

This is simply a temporary fix until (hopefully) Steam gives us the fully supported Chinese Dub.

This guide is now obsolete and no longer needed due to the inclusion of the Chinese dub and sub. Cheers!

@ndrfn0 its not about CHINESE market or not. The game publisher just pay their attention on such unnescessary and nonsence stuff, removing languages so you cant PLAY this agme normally and you can not refund since its over 2 hours, but didnt give any care about improving the horrible game performance and quality. Isnt it just stupid? How come will that make REST OF WORLD MARKET BIGGER? Think kiddo

i dont understand why. its not like chinese is an exclusive language or soemthing, i dont see how you can make money by only selling it in china and nowhere else - surely it would LOSE money since no matter how big china is, the rest of the world market will be bigger.

It does seem to be a bit hit or miss for some people. Shame we have to resort to messing around with files to try and get this to work.

Hmm weird, I did replace all the files, even did it twice when I noticed there was still english on the battle voices. Everything else is Chinese dub for sure. Third times the charm I guess, I'll look into it again.

Every voice should be Chinese with this method. If done correctly, you will have replaced every english file with a chinese one.

Thanks for this, though I guess this only fixes the dub for cutscenes and conversations. The combat voices(attacking/using musou) is still in eng.
