File Path Editing, and saving.
First make sure that you have changed a graphic setting and exited the game this will create the GraphicsConfig.ini file that we need.

Navifgate to the proceeding, you can hit Window(CMD)+R then paste below or however you like to navigate your GUI.
%userprofile%\Documents\my games\FINAL FANTASY XV\Steam

then a group of numbers\savestorage\GraphicsConfig.ini

C:\Users\******USERNAME*******\Documents\my games\FINAL FANTASY XV\Steam\******STRINGOFNUMBERS*******\savestorage

Open GraphicsConfig.ini

Under [DisplaySettings]
Change HardwareFullScreenMode to 0
Confirm FullScreenModeOnStartup=1

HardwareFullScreenMode=0

Save

Done.

User Mr. Gency mentioned the GraphicsConfig.ini doesn't appear until you change a graphics setting. So make sure to change the defualt values in some way.

Also pointed out by Asura Sushi If your game is in windowed mode prior to attempting this tutorial, make sure you have "FullScreenModeOnStartup=1" as the value will be 0.

Adding my cats for no reason.

Great, something they should have added back in 2018.

That's a new function if true.

simply go into options and set "borderless window" . it is a normal option in the menu.

simply using {LINK REMOVED} might also be an option

WTF? Elijah that's no good. Not sure what the issue is, it shouldn't BSOD you even if there are issues. Sorry that happened to you man. If you want to save time though, just delete the GraphicsConfig.ini and then re-verify integrity. Hell just launching it after should create a new ini and you won't have to redownload anything.

Yeah no problem man, wish I could have been more help. Looks like this is some dumb software issue, or possbly a single monitor issue. Just make sure that my line

[BasicSettings]
DisplayResolutionWH=2560x1440

Reads

[BasicSettings]
DisplayResolutionWH=1920x1080

That could be the issue if your settings are a copy of mine.
