Non Collectibles Achievements
By Elaeus
As there are already precise and good guides for achievements concerning collectibles, I'm not going to repeat what most people already said about it, for this I recommend the steam guide from "Lusht" or complete Walkthrough from Neoseeker which can easily be found on Google.
Here I am going to give help for those which doesn't include collectible or story related achievements.

Who Am I?
Hi, I'm Elaeus. When I got this game I didn't want to dive in it without finishing the ones I started and the wait was worth it. To me it was a mix that gathered 3 themes that I love : a Zelda like gameplay in a vast Shadow of the Colossus world of cliffs and quiet wind sounds with a Castle in the Sky theme to it.
Now I also like to complete all achievements of games that I earn and start and since there was nothing about the non collectible ones, I thought I might provide some help for those who struggle for them.
Achievements
Win Without Fighting
Use ennemies to kill 15 ennemies for you.

There are 2 ways you can get this one easy :
- when you meet the first troll, there are 2 little gremlins. These will die in one swing of the troll's attack, then you can use the respawn option in the menu. The little gremlins respawned so chaining them won't be too hard.
- if you're looking for the Invulnerable trophy which asks to die less than 5 times as well on your run, then you have a better option. South west of the map near the place where you insert the symbol to modify the field for the first time, you can actually see a big ennemy with a giant club trying to reach something through a grate (it's the first of his kind at this point). He'll be in the middle of 4 gremlins. Lure him to kill the gremlins then climb the rocks north west of its arena to get away. Head east past the other gremlins near the desert area. Break the wall and jump punch the shortcut east of the plant pod. Climb down then come back to the big ennemy. All the gremlins have respawned giving you the opportunity to use the trick again. It may be a bit longer than the 1st option but you can have this achievement in your 1st run as well as the Invulnerable trophy.

Hunter
Kill 4 ennemies simultaneously.

Appears simple but it's actually a bit tricky. On the last boss you can try to kill the boss' minions, they die in 1 swing of your sword with a fully upgraded weapon but I have seen many reports that this doesn't unlock the achievement. I managed to make it against the scorpions in the beginning of the desert area. They tend to never pack correctly so I could only kill 3 of them in 1 attack with a fully upgraded sword. Instead I used the warp ability which gives you more range if some are behind others. They should die in 1 warp, upgrade your ability if needed.
IF you can't get it in 1 warp, try chaining them, I didn't get them in 1 warp, I used 2 in a row and it worked! You shouldn't need more than 2.
This may take a few attempts, so take the teleporter right behind you then come back, the scorpions will respawn.

Invulnerable
Complete the game with less than 5 deaths.

In Hob, monsters won't be your main problem with this achievement, their pattern can easily be learned and your health bar will quickly be enough to resist to their attacks should you mistep. Here your main concern will be the pits, you can easily miss a jump and fall to your demise. No real advice here but to watch what you're doing and where you're going. It's not a very hard achievement per say but if you're struggling too much with it you can still save scum it.
The save folder is C:/Documents/My Games/Runic Games/Hob/SAVES/whatever numbers/
Take the SAVE0.HOB and copy/paste it somewhere on your computer (0 is for the slot of your save file in the game, you'll have other numbers to match the save slots if any).

Expeditious
Speedrun the game within 5 hours

The game is very short if you're only aiming at objectives only. These are some tips I can give :
- Obviously RUN. This may be stupid but the more you do it the more you'll be familiar with this on very narrow ledges above all the pitfalls of this game. If you're too afraid to lose time by accidently falling don't worry and slow down, the achievement has room for mistakes.
- Avoid ennemies. With few exceptions all ennemies can be avoided very easily.
- Follow the golden trails on the floor. If you're lost or you don't know how to get to your objectives on the mainland, you can always follow the trails, these are the wires that will glow blue once you restore the power. Most of the time look at your map, it is very well done and accurate, you should be able to find your way.
- THEN Purple goo : follow them. At some point I lost my objective marker on the map. It happened to me when I had to set up all the cores of the big golem. 2 golems are visible on the map which have 1 core each. 1 is already in the big golem and the last one is awarded by the giant forest sprite if you freed all the sprites from the goo.
- Side with the Queen. It will end the game without a fight which will spare you time.
- Don't look at speedrun videos if you're not a good speedrunner. I have never really liked speedrunning but I did it once for Ori and the Blind Forest and I noticed that everytime you try what they do like shortcuts and glitches, you'll always find yourself stuck somewhere. Their speedrun use moves that you may not be able to perform correctly to reach places that are not available at the current moment, may be you'll end up making it at some point but beginners should stick to the game as you have plenty of time. Speerunning is special but the game should still be enjoyable for you.

I know these are obvious tips but they'll help. I made this achievement with Bravest Soldier (no upgrades) and as I have only played the game once just before I didn't know the layout by heart. Don't worry if you're lost, you can easily get back on tracks as 5 hours is more than enough to finish the game. I got lost 4 times and died like 6 times (no upgrades = one shot) and I made it in 3 hours.

Bravest Soldier
Complete the game with no sword, health, energy, or workshop upgrades

Very easy one, as I mentionned before : ennemies can be avoided without a care in the world (with a few exceptions). The only things I can say are :
- don't greed : with a level 1 sword tough ennemies will require like 15 hits for a big armored troll, once they have an opportunity : attack 3-4 times, rince and repeat. Anyway don't lose time with them, the money they give doesn't even help.
- paired with Expeditious will make you proud.

Beguile
Lure 10 ennemies to fall to their death

Very easy one too and can be acquired very soon in the game. Among all ennemies that you will meet, there is a boulder guy. He will roll at you if you're too far from their sword range. The first time you encounter this type of ennemy, you'll be near pits where you can just roll out of their way to see them fall. Don't roll too early or they'll adapt their course.
It is worth mentionning that the description of this achievement make you think that you need to trick the ennemies. As a matter of fact it is possible to push them in a pit and it still counts toward the achievement. Lots of ennemies recoil from the sword's impact so for example when you first meet the robots in the factory (summoned by little scanning robots), as you hit them near the pit you can actually push them in it for the achievement.

Animal Instinct
Pet any animal

You'll notice that in Hobbworld some animals aren't agressive even friendly. If you observe them from a fair distance they will all take a nap at some point : the ugly rats will yawn, the deers will sit on the floor...
When they start doing this, approach them but DON'T RUN or they will be scared and flee. Once you're close to one animal the interact button will be available.
Be careful not to attack with the sword instead of interacting, it's the same button. To be able to interact, the button will appear on the bottom of the screen.

Another tip for no-upgrades or no-deaths runs is that quitting to main menu while you're injured and going back respawns you at your last checkpoint with full health. Handy if you want that extra assurance that you won't be oneshot because you bumped into a cactus.

If it hadn't been for this guide and the comments, I wouldn't have completed this game 100%, thanks a lot everyone, I did my second and last playthrough combining Invulnerable, Expeditious, and Bravest Soldier, very doable and not that hard at all :D

Hunter:
The last boss does work. just fist slam or teleport slam. I got it there,

Invulnerable and Expenditious:
You can check your time and deaths by opening the console (key depends on keyboard, try ~ or (swiss)¨ or just all symbol keys) and typing in "timeplayed". This will display both your time in minutes and your death count.

Invulnerable:
As petronny said before, when you die you can go back to the main menu before you're reborn and it doesn't count.

Expenditious (time run)
I did that by replicating speed runs.
I used these two: https://www.speedrun.com/hob/run/zxvl7eqy and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc4V-YhILSc
The first one is way easier to follow, use the second if you can't replicate soemthing from the first, maybe they did something different (2nd uses no upgrades) and both follow nearly the same route until close to the end. Use the long route as a last resort, you'll save enough time

Invulnerable is easy. When you die, just quit to main menu before you are respawned. Then resume the game from the main menu. Then your death won't be saved.

Hunter can be done not only with sword swings, but also with jump smash attack, if you bought the AoE upgrade for it. Final boss fight is good for this one, since there are many adds and they all swarm you. Just be aware that the upgraded jump smash attack uses one bar of energy.
