Yes. This game has speedrunning strategies. Nobody even plays this anymore to my knowledge.
I'll make Gravity Bone later.

Introduction
Welcome to my guide on TFOL Speedrunning.
I have a few helping tips.

  • 1. Always diagonal walking. It doubles your movement speed.
  • 2. Jump off of downward slopes, jump over upward ones. If you can't jump over the upward one jump onto it and then continue walking.
  • 3. During the stairway to heaven, Don't walk on the upward railings. Hug them.
  • 4. Don't get discouraged! Try your best and you will succeed!
  • 5. A trick I found for moving even faster than diagonal walking is to diagonally jump, then alternate between left and right while still moving forward. It gains you a ton of speed and if you jump immediately afterwards you CAN bunnyhop with this! For turns, diagonally walk then turn and do another jump. I've made insane speed with this.
The First Section (Intro)
I call the first section the startup to getting in the plane, or the Intro.

Normally, you walk down the stairs, turn right, open the secret door, hit the button to walk through the door, talk to Borges and Anita, then go down to the dock, get on the plane, and then the first section is done.

In the speedrun...
Not much has changed. Diagonal walking as mentioned before.

One trick I've found, though...
Just before the ramp, you can diagonal jump (Going to call these "dJump"s) into the trigger to get into the plane.

Jump here.
If you hit the dJump, you can shave off a few frames.

After this comes the second section. The run.
The Second Section
*SUPER INTENSE MUSIC*
Now, I know this seems like a dire situation, but don't worry.
Diagonally backwards near Borges.

Don't pick him up here.
Instead, pick him up in a spot where you can open up the door and pick up Borges.

Hug the walls, cut corners, diagonally walk. When you get the trolly, attempt to space the pickup as well as you can.

And alas, you have awoken in a new place. Plausibly unfamiliar.

Fun Fact: You can pass straight through Anita here. I suggest jumping over her if you can make it, otherwise, go around her back.

When you reach the door, don't worry about saving time, you can't push the NPC's as far as this guide has knowledge of.

Mash E on the table and thus you have completed the second section.

It's time for some Good Eats.
The Finale
Aren't you woozy?
Diagonally walk, hugging the rail downwards. Don't jump as hitting the roof above you (on ramps) will slow you down.

Hubba hubba, that bed's filled with some joy now. Ready to have some-
wait why am i falling
WOAHWOAHWOAH-

Aim on the right side of the lights. Diagonally fall towards Anita, then fix your aim directly at the corridor. Don't bother diagonally walking, you can't. Just inch forward towards Anita.
*SLAM*

Oh, there we are again! Time to blow this joint!
Just move forward until you cut again.
Keep moving through diagonally as always.

A room, oh, is this a boss battle?

Walk to the center gate and get ready to run for the middle door. Wait until the shot to start moving though as you won't get anywhere rubbing up against a wall.

When the shot has been fired, RUN OUTSIDE.

"Oh ♥♥♥♥ oh ♥♥♥♥ they're after us!!!"
Just turn around to have Borges fire the final shot.
Then, when the shot fades out flick your aim left and mash E.

"DRIVE!!!"
When the credits lobby appears, hit time.
