NOOB GUIDE TO EXTINCTION OF THE BOSSES AND TO BECOME A LEGENDARY WIZARD AND YOUR PATH TO VICTORY AND WOMEN OR MEN IDK YOU
By l0l
This is a guide for newcomers, people still learning and Veterans too as well I guess, its a really fun build based around fighting at the speed of light, a lot of kiting, stacking, kissing, hugging, marrying and pressing B.

Show me the build idiot
Listen my mans, if youre looking for a quick build to try out and dont care about explanations here it is:

Outfit - Awe
Basic - Spark Contact
Dash - Wave Front
Arcana - Fuelled Berserk
Signature - Blazing Lariat
Relic - Dark Katana

Just a heads up this build is based around dodging a lot and looking for openings.
Introduction
This guide is a build me and my friend been toying around with, its a fun build, and you should have no trouble getting far.

who said introductions need to be long
ZE BUILD
Outfit
Awe The reason we go with Awe over the other outfits is because of its extra 12% Crit chance and 20% Crit damage, if you want you could go with Tempo, Shift or Pace, but I personally go with Awe because I wanna kill the bosses as soon as possible and with the Arcanas of this build you usually get bosses in the first downtime or in 2.

Basic Attack
Spark Contact The reason you pick this one over all others is because of its speed/damage/crit performance, it outperforms all other basic attacks, before using this one I tried out Wind Slash and while it does come close it does not perform as well. This one also is way better at dealing damage to multiple enemies.
P.S. I did feel it takes a lil' bit to get used to it.

Dash
Wave Front Now the dash is the one of the 2 parts of this build that I feel it really depends on your playstyle, but I will recommend this one still since when fighting a boss you usually wait for downtime far away from him so when you dash to close distance the Wave does hit him and it also works to group up enemies so that you can wreck them with your Fuelled Berserk + Spark Contact.

Arcana
Fuelled Berserk I think its pretty obvious why I go with this Arcana, it boosts the basic attack speed and spark contact gets so fast you can just hold the button down.

Signature
Blazing Lariat You can choose the signature you want, but again this is a build based on burning the bosses so this one is best, I did think about TerraRing, while its nice you cant be hit or it gets canceled, and Blazing Lariat is good for closing distance.

You can still go with TerraRing if you like.

Relic
Dark Katana This one is the best choice since our build is based on melee attacks so this will multiply our crit chance by 3.
RELICS 🫦
Relics To buy if you can
Assassin's Blade - An extra 50% to your crit damage thats always amazing specially for this build because we will be crit'ing a lot.
Surefire Rocket - This one is perfect since you get to keep what you build of your charge up, heads up tho when you charge it up completely it does go down, but its still a good item to get.
Tapping Gloves - Since you will be using one Arcana after the other this item is good because itll boost the crit chance of the consecutive Arcanas by 25%.
Sinister Ledger - For every enemy defeated you get 1% extra crit chance stacking up to 20% but it resets when you get hit, this is an amazing item if you feeling confident.
Merchant's Cart - Extra 1.25% damage for every relic you have, sounds gud to me, you can be a compulsive buyer and get rewarded, have you ever heard that before?
Critical Placebos - Extra crit chance of 12% for everything.
Wanderer's Mechanism - Extra 20% of damage for our Signature.
Analytical Monocle - BABY MORE CRIT CHANCE GIMME GIMME. (Increases crit chance by 8%)
Vampire's Eyeglasses - You heal every time you crit, and we got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of crit baby so go for it.
Regenerative Inkwell - You will be using your signature charged up a lot so this item is useful since it'll heal you every time you use it.
Sidewinder's Badge - Gives a secondary attack to our melee attack that gives some nice extra damage for our basic attacks, it deals 25% extra.
Amulet of Sundering - Increases damage dealt by 8% for everything.
Tea of Mercy - You can get an extra 75 points of health so never a bad pick.
Takeout Box - Basically an overheal, you can get up to 50 points of extra hp shields.
Pathfinder's Knapsack - This one is good since you will get healed based on how much you explored so never a bad pick. However it caps at 10%, it heals 0.1% for every 1% explored.
CURSED RELICS (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
Always a good pick
Volatile Gemstone - The charge up of our Signature is increased by 2 and we only lose 40% damage, while that seem like a lot, in the time it takes us to build 1 without this item we can do a total of 120% damage. (Without counting cast time and all animation stuff)
Crimson Clover - This one increases crit chance for players and enemies alike by 15%, take this one if you feeling confident.

Risky
Double Edged Cestus - This item is viable, I personally would take it, but I would be iffy about picking it if I already have Volatile Gemstone.
Glass Cannon - This one increases damage by 20% but you lose 30% of your max health, this one is a good item if you feel you've mastered the art of dodging ♥♥♥♥.
Golden Saber of Envy - Good item to get if you already have all your Arcana slots filled since it gives you 20% damage but store prices raise by 50%.
Sharpened Stylus - This one is viable but I would be iffy about picking it because not being able to charge up your Signature is a big trade off.
Abhorrent Cologne - Risky to pick but if youre feeling confident its a good choice since it reduces enemy health to 20% but gives them an extra 30% so its a very risky item.
Horned Halo - Never a bad idea to get but cutting your HP is half is risky do it if you know you'll be able to get it back.
Vampire's Fangs - It's not a bad pick if you can manage to not get stunlocked, you lose 40% of your health but you can get it up, this + Vampire's Sunglasses is amazing you are almost always capped.

Avoid
Double Toil - I dont think this is a good pick since usually in the downtime of fights you have chance to use your Arcanas once or twice so not worth it in my eyes.
Double Trouble - Now I put this one here because personally its a must avoid, its tempting but extremely risky. But again if you got confidence go for it.
Flashy Boots - Triple dash is nice but you will do a lot of kiting so avoid anything that lowers your movement speed.
Nog's Heavenly Boots - Evade is mega useful in this game, but 45% evade means that 4 attacks will be evaded but 5 of them will do double damage so not a really good trade off in my eyes, you can, however go with an evade build, I think that way it would work.
Silver Spinning Tip - Increasing activation speed is not really useful since you will be using your skills in openings and in downtime so not really useful because you also lose movement speed and you dont want that with this build.
Builds that people have had success with!

Preston's Vampiric Volley of Volts (or 3V for short)

Preston's profile.
Notes in this build were written by preston.

Robe: Awe

Notes: For increased and better critical hits

Relic: Vampire's Eyeglasses

Notes: This works well with Awe, as it heals you 1hp every time you crit

Basic: Volt disc

Notes: Pretty simple projectile arcana, when enhanced bounces between 2 enemies

Dash: Wave Front

Notes: The best non-chaos dash, by far

Standard: Frost Scimitar

Notes: Useful for crowd control, and the fact that it drags opponents towards you allows for creative use of pits

Signature: Gust Volley

Notes: Nice Shotgun arcana, maybe not the best pick for this build but it works\

Conclusion
Hey man.
you dont have to do what I say.
Remember one big thing about this game is feeling comfortable with your build and having all control over it, so don't follow my build exactly, unless you want to.
But if you pledge allegiance to me I swear you won't regret it.

Now go do your thing, Im so proud of you.

@egglago123 I recall all the ones I tried not being as good as Blazing Lariat, HOWEVER, I am overdue for a good long session of Wizard of Legend, I am currently in a moving process!

My go to build is pretty similar to this, what are your opinion on Radian beat signature ? its my must have because you can just pump it out quickly and continue the basic arcana beatdown,

I also like bladed vine because the enchanted version work really well with combo glove

Just read your guide. I came up with a build that is pretty close to this but in stead of spark contact, I use Ice dagger, which makes spinning top viable because you can slide around while using your basic.

Hey guys, I have been absent because of personal matters hence the lack of replies.

@Fire is Hot
Im glad you found it pretty good, and convenient!!

@Onsydeaura22
Im glad! That makes me really glad since it means it is helping some of you guys!

@King Lemurton III
Imagine being 3 cent shorts, thats the biggest tilt of all, you cannot recover from that run because you can't stop thinking about those 3 damn cents

@e
I will update it whenever I get the chance, I would have to look into the relic and be sure it is overall a statistical win, but I don't think you're lying or wrong so im pretty positive I will add it when I can!

I don't know if I typed it somewhere in the guide at some point but I do run tests on the items I recommend and calculate their averages, and just general performance when it comes to time/damage, crits and just other nerdy shit I find relevant in the moment.
aaaaaa 8 Aug, 2021 @ 8:59pm
if you update this, oversized needle (cursed relic) triples crit damage (but non-crits do way less), so if you have a high enough crit chance its a MASSIVE damage boost

I BROKE EVERY SINGLE PROP AND DIDN'T GET ENOUGH MONEY OUT OF IT
