I played Beyond the Invisible: Darkness Came in the following system...

i7 6700, 4x8GB Corsair 3000Mhz RAM, Zotax 980 Ti, Asus Ranger VIII, Windows 10 Pro.

On this system 25% of the time when I started the game, it crashed to desktop almost instantly and 50% of the time when alt tabbing to desktop the game crashed. Aside from this the only other bugs noted, were a ton of translation errors / mistakes.

The game does have an autosave feature, however the game only saves each time you enter a new area, as such if you enter a new area, pick up an item or two and then exit the game, when you load the game back up you will be in the same area as before however the items you collected in this area would not have registered and you will have to collect them once again.

Beyond the Invisible: Darkness Came has a total of 15 Steam achievements, most of which are missable.

To ensure the swiftest 100% possible I would advise following this roadmap to completion...

Start the main game by clicking on the play button on the main menu and select casual mode. At the start of the game when asked "Would you like some tips to start ?" click yes to earn the Curiosity achievement.

During this playthrough try to complete 10 of the 14 mini-game puzzles without skipping to earn the Stubborn I, Stubborn II and Stubborn III achievements and complete one puzzle in less than 60 seconds to earn Speed of a cheetah.

Do not use hints while playing any of the 4 hidden object games (HOG/HOP) to earn Careful Seeker I and Careful Seeker II, also try to earn Master of the Search by finding 3 objects in 3 seconds and Grandmaster of the Search by finding 5 objects in 5 seconds.

At the end of your playthrough you will earn the Not bad, not bad achievement.

After completing the main game on easy, back at the main menu click on the rosette / ribbon icon button above and to the left of the play button to access the bonus chapter and press play (there is no need to enable the tutorial again).

During the bonus chapter there is just one HOG, complete this without using any hints and this will bring your tally to 5 completed HOGs without using hints and the Careful Seeker III achievement will pop.

With the bonus chapter out of the way, back at the main menu, click at the bottom of the screen where it says "Welcome, officer XXXXXXX", here delete your profile and create a new one, then click on the play button on the main menu and select advanced to play the main game for a second time.

(Sadly, there is currently no way to change difficulty without wiping your profile and creating a new one).

During your second playthrough on advanced you will earn the You did it! achievement for completing the game on advanced. You will also want to aim to complete a HOG in less than 60 seconds to earn Quick Thinker and to find 10 objects in 10 seconds during a HOG to earn King of the Search.

For your final playthrough wipe your profile and start a new one again, this time playing on expert difficulty to net the Best result! achievement and mop up any other achievements you might have missed. Having played all the puzzles and HOGs twice now you should be able to fly through the game and earn any remaining achievements without problem.



The following achievement guide is listed in the order which I earned them and at the end of this guide is a video walkthrough of the main game a bonus chapter showing the solution to all mini-game puzzles and hidden object games.

Speed of a Cheetah.
Solve a Puzzle in less than a minute.

WARNING THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE.
There are a total of 15 mini-game puzzles in the Beyond the Invisible: Darkness Came main game and bonus chapter, none of which really pose a challenge and while this achievement is technically missable, it is almost impossible to do so and most will earn this during the first puzzle.

Stubborn I.
Solve a Puzzle without Skipping.

WARNING THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE.
There are three achievements related to not skipping mini-game puzzles, Stubborn I is earned for completing your first puzzle without skipping, Stubborn II is earned for completing five puzzles without skipping and Stubborn III is earned for completing ten puzzles without skipping.

As noted earlier, none of the puzzles are particularly challenging, so you shouldn't need to skip any anyway, if you do get stuck be aware that there are 15 puzzles in total throughout the main game and the bonus chapter so you can get away with skipping 5 if you need to.

Master of the Search.
Find three items in three seconds.

There are a total of three difficulty related achievements, Not bad, not bad is earned for completing the game in casual mode, You did it! is earned for completing the game in advanced mode and Best result! is earned for completing the game in expert mode.

Sadly, these achievements are not cumulative, if you complete the game on expert you will not earn all three difficulty achievements and if you complete the game on advanced you will not also earn the achievement for casual difficulty, as such, to earn all three difficulty achievements, you have to complete the game three times, once on expert, once and advanced and once on casual.

Curiosity.
Finish the tutorial.

WARNING THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE.
When you first start a new game you are asked "Would you like some tips to start ?", what this is actually asking is, would like to enable the tutorial. To earn this achievement select "YES" during one of your three playthroughs of the main game.

The tutorial just enables a few tooltips / hints during your game which finishes at the start of the first HOG, at which time this achievement pops.

King of the Search.
Find 10 items in 10 seconds.

WARNING THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE.

Fairly self explanatory, you'll have 13 attempts, I earned it on my 3rd playthrough, if you are having problems with any of the HOG's my video walkthrough at the end of this guide has time markers for all of the HOG's to help you quickly find the solution to any that might be giving you trouble.
