Installing Pinnacle Station DLC
DISCLAIMER: You need to run your game once for the installers to be able to find the installation path of your game!

1.- Open the MassEffect_PS_ES (name may change depending on language) file
2.- Select 'Next'
3.- You will be asked to introduce a Game CD Key, you can use your own (Go to your library > Select Mass Effect > Settings > Manage > CD Keys)
4.- I've been reading that EA has been giving bad CD keys of mass effect to Steam Owners of the game. If you're one of them (Like Me) Use the Universal CD KEY: 5GUCXRFPQNBMTJBD3L5J
5.- Wait for the installation process to finish
6.- Once it's finished, you should have Pinnacle Station DLC installed!
Troubleshooting license key/installation issues
Since Electronic Arts revoked all the license keys of their games on steam due to the EA Play exploit that happened a while ago, this caused several side effects when trying to install the dlcs, normally this is how the installers work:

1.- Verify the game installation directory
2.- Validate the license key
3.- Install

Currently, as all the license keys for mass effect owners on steam no longer work and have been revoked, the installers cannot validate the game's license key and the installation fails automatically.

However I have found a solution that requires a bit of work but is not really difficult at all.

The installers validate the license locally and not online, this means that there is a way to "show" them the license key. Next I will show you how to achieve this:

1.- First go to your game installation directory:

2.- Once you are there, open the file 'installscript.vdf' with any text editor you have available, notepad works without any problem

3.- In the editor, locate a variable called '%CDKEY%' and exchange it for the universal license key found in this guide and save all the changes

4.- Now you must insert the same license key in the windows registry so that the installers can validate it correctly

5.- Now you must find the location of the game registry entries, this is where you should get 'creative' steam changed the way these entries are inserted in the registry, the directory you are looking for is called 'Steam App 17460' There are different ways to find it, you can search for 'Mass Effect' or 'BioWare' with the search function (Ctrl + F) Why don't I give you a directory? because according to my tests this directory always changes location from machine to machine. But if you want to try your luck try to use these:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Mass Effect
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam\Apps\17460

6.- When you have found the game directory, now look for an entry called (Default), double click and a dialog box should open, in the text box put the game license key and press OK.

Everything ready, close the registry editor and run the installers again, the issue should be fixed.
Everything Ready, Enjoy!
NOW YOU HAVE BOTH EXPANSIONS INSTALLED!
Now you need to start your Journey ASAP Soldier!

To be sure the DLCs are installed, open your game and go to Settings > Downloadable Content

You should have something like this:

The guide isn't trivial, part 5 suck ; Do that registry search, BioWare or Mass Effect.
Every step is carefully screen. Just be patient.

It doesn't seem to be working for me. I tried the workaround black magic with the unversal cd key and the installer doesn't like the key.

(off-topic?) question:

Could you make a similar guide for Mass Effect 2 (including its DLCs) ? I'd want to play it through Steam, not Origin, if possible. Some users hinted they use the latter. They contacted EA support and shared screenshots of the purchase proof. EA then gave them a new key code - which can be redeemed only on Origin, I'm guessing.

Hey guys, I've been reading that the dlcs no longer validate the license key and this causes the installation of both dlcs to fail, however I already found a solution for this problem, I will update this guide in the next few days.
