What is... A Fireteam?
A fireteam, is the second smallest unit in the military, and is made from 4 people, and theres usually 2-3 of them in a squad.

FIRE TEAM LEADER

A Fire Team Leader's job, is to lead his fireteam, and acomplish task that his squad leader gives him, for instance, the squad leader tells the fireteam leader, go take that objective! Then he informs his fire team of that order and goes to do it.
A Fire Team Leader is usually armed with a rifle / scoped rifle, it depends what faction he's from.

AUTOMATIC RIFLEMAN

A Automatic Rifleman's Job, is to provide supressive / covering fire for the fireteam, he is one of the most important personel in a fireteam, as he can supress large number of enemies, and keep them pinned down, as the rest of the fireteam takes them down.
A Automatic Rifleman is usually armed with a M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.

GREANDIER

A Grenadier's job, is to provide direct or indirect fire onto the enemies location, he uses his underbarrel mounted grenadelauncher, to fire his grenades long range, and he can provide acurate or inaccurate shot's, on the enemy location, if trained correctly, he can shoot into buildings, and hit targets perfectly, while inflicting massive chaos among the enemy.
A Grenadier is usually armed with a simple rifle and a underbarrel mounted grenade launcher.

RIFLEMAN

A Rifleman's job, is to enhance the fire team and kill enemies, the rifleman carries the least weight, so the fire team leader uses him to enhance the fire team as he sees fit, examples: Take extra ammo, grab an Anti-Tank Weapon E.T.C
He is there, to enhance the fire team, and make it better as the fire team leader see's fit.
A Rifleman is usually armed with a simple rifle, and whatever the fire team leader tells him to take.
The buddy team system.
Before we move on, i'd like to talk about the smallest unit, in the military - The buddy team.

A buddy team is, two mates working together, and they're used in multiple ocassions, when breaching a building, scouting e.t.c

In a Fireteam, you can make 2 buddyteams.

The Fire Team Leader assigns buddy team's as he sees fit or let's the guy's choose, but usually its.

Fire team leader + Automatic Rifleman.
Grenadier + Rifleman.

Fire team leader is in charge of Buddyteam 1
Grenadier is in charge of Buddyteam 2.

Buddyteam's also help form formations which i'm about to discuss.
Fireteam Order Of March.
Order of march, is how a fireteam marches in what order.
Let's say, fire team leader says get into a column *formations will be discussed in the formations tab below*

Who get's behind who?

Fire Team Leader up front.
Automatic Rifleman Behind Fire team leader.
Grenadier behind Automatic Rifleman.
Rifleman at the very back.
Formations.
There is alot of formations, but in a fireteam, theres usually 3 Main ones.

LINE

A line is used to give maximum firepower to the front, a line is when everyone get's next to each other, but in fire team's order of march it's:

Fire Team Leader up front
Grenadier Left of Fire team leader.
Automatic Rifleman Right of fire team leader.
Rifleman right of automatic rifleman.

BUT, it might be diffrent is you use a buddyteam system, for that you get next to your buddys, so if we'd do it MY way which would be FTL + AR, GE + RFL, then it would be.
FTL front.
Automatic Rifleman left of FTL
Grenadier right of FTL
Rifleman right of GE

GE FTL AR RFL <- That's how it would look like from above.

COLUMN

Column is used for marching long distances or urban terrain, to form it is real simple, everyone get's behind each other, order of march:

Fire Team Leader.
Automatic Rifleman.
Grenadier.
Rifleman.

WEDGE

The wedge formation is a pretty old technique and still widely used in modern military tactics. The way it is set up forms an arrow head shape. The distance between each soldier can vary, depending on the condition and visility. If visibility is poor the soldiers would stand closer to each other etc... This formation is useful to "pierce" trought the enemy, not only that but it covers both flanks, left and right. A big downside for this formation is that there is no back coverage at all.
180 & 360 Peramiter Security.
180 Peramiter Security.

We use 180 Security when we want to cover the front as well as our left and right flank, for a fireteam to cover 180 is pretty easy, 2 guys cover front, one covers left, other covers right, my prefered way is.
Fire team leader up front Automatic Rifleman up front
Grenadier left Rifleman right

360 PERAMITER SECURITY

We use 360 security when we want to cover every single corner arround the fire team, this is usually used when defending a place / objective and you don't know where the enemy is, guarding a place, protecting something e.t.c.

To form a 360 for a fire team leader is easy.

One person covers front
One covers left
One covers right
One covers back

Me personally i do

Fire team leader Front
Grenadier Left
Rifleman RIght
Automatic Rifleman.

The End.
Well, this is the end of the guide, it was pretty short, as there isint that much to cover, but this should help you act better in the field.
I'l soon be making a squad guide soon as well.
