Exoskeleton-less Heavy Armour (WOTC)

Beskrivelse
THIS IS FOR THE WAR OF THE CHOSEN EXPANSION

This mod adds some additional variants of the E.X.O. and W.A.R. suit models without the exoskeletons. These are simply the original Firaxis meshes with the exoskeleton components deleted. This mod was created in response to a request I noticed on the XCOM 2 Mods subreddit. While there are a couple of mods that provide alternative arms without the exoskeleton elements, I don't know of any that remove them from the torso and legs.

Recommendations:
Support has been added for robojumper's Add Part Names mod, which enables torso, legs, and arms props to be correctly labelled with their name in their relevant Props sub-menu. This has not been updated for WOTC and some users have reported issues, so use at your own risk (although I have never had a problem with it myself).

Notes:
The W.A.R. suits only come in the standard shiny version. I didn't want to gate access to the whole mod behind an Anarchy's Children requirement just for matte versions. I may consider the possibility of adding my own materials to replicate the look.

The E.X.O. suit only has three arm variants rather than five because two of the vanilla ones only differ in the exoskeleton components, which are obviously not present in these versions.

Acknowledgements:
These are Firaxis's meshes. I just deleted a few bits.

I learned a lot by poking through the contents of other people’s mods, such as [GWJ] Kexx and Dor, to see how things worked, as well as reading various tutorials and forum/Reddit posts by the likes of E3245. Many thanks to them and the rest of the X2 modding community for their help, direct and indirect.

Sceenshots feature content from KnaveOfSpades's (via Pavonis) Coilguns for War of the Chosen, and my own mods.

I found the issue, it was the "Titan Armor" mod that was conflicting. Thanks for the reply!

@Arkay: Yes, every torso template does. They should just be renamed copies of the vanilla templates pointed to my meshes as I recall.

I'm having a bit of an issue in LWOTC where my female PsiOp casts Soulfire on a Gatekeeper, triggering Soulsteal and then becomes a "Spaghetti" soldier. Her cosmetic torso was one of the W.A.R. suits in this mod, and was wondering if they all had a "Unit Pawn Anim Set in the Torso archetype"m which seems to be the solution both in Musashi's "Squid be gone" (downloading now) and a reddit post.

If they do, then disregard this completely and I just have some sort of compatibility issue on my end.

Recently got back into the game after seeing the latest and greatest updates on LWOTC and have been desperate for something like this. Thank you so much!

That is the plasma sword (tier 3) from the Tactical Legacy Pack dlc.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help point me in the right direction regarding armour mods. I'm trying to replace the W.A.R suit's heavy weapon skin for the E.X.O suits.

This is super cool. Is there any chance we could get the inverse as well? Just the exoskeleton parts added as Shoulder/Forearm and Thigh/Shin pieces so we could mix them with other armor parts?

Tell them to try adding the following to steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1625443828\Config\XComContent.ini

relaying following question: "ask the author if he could kit bash his mod so the arm options on his mod that removes the exoskeleton bits from E.X.O and W.A.R. could be use as separate left\right arm and left\right shoulders options?"
