This guide contains ten save files that I randomly backed up while playing the game. I almost deleted them, before deciding to post them here.

They will hopefully be of use to some people hunting achievements, especially Total Recall, Scribe or either of the two endings, Salvation and Damnation. If you really like this game then by all means do a second play through for the endings or achievements, but to be honest, not much changes except the ending scene.

I highly recommend 4RM3D [anime247]'s excellent walkthrough guide to help navigate your way through any parts of the game while using these save files.

Not all achievements are easily accessible using the saves. You can CTRL-F and search for a particular achievement to see if I've mentioned it in this guide.

Go here[s000.tinyupload.com] to download the save files. Save it anywhere that is convenient for you.

The folder names describe at what point in the game the save was made.

Save games for Tormentum are stored in the dat.xlg file, located in your Steam\steamapps\common\Tormentum.

For example, my Tormentum save game location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tormentum

Copy dat.xlg you want from the folder in the download file into your Tormentum directory and click "yes" to replace the file.

There are ten folders in this download, each containing a save game that corresponds to that folders title.

Saves 1 - 5 are not good for the achievement Total Recall: Finish the game without using the notebook should you decide to play through the rest of the game from these save files.

Saves 5-10 are good for Total Recall. If you play the game from any of these save files, do NOT click the notebook (see big red box in picture below) at any point, as doing so will prevent the achievement popping.


The following section titles correspond to the titles of the folders in the download.

This save takes place just before the first opportunity in the game to make a "good" or "evil" decision: to kill the knight who is torturing a captive:

• Long arm of justice: Fully release the spikes in the torture device
  or not kill him
  
• Diversion: Hide the blades in the torture device

Following this achievement is several opportunities in quick succession to make similar choices which also grant achievements. Listed in order, these are:

To kill the guard outside the spider room/near the woman in the cage

• Spider food: Release the spider
  or not kill him
  
• Helping hand: Fix the machine in the sewers

To kill the woman in the cage for the jester

• Mercy has a face of a woman: Free the woman from her cage
  or not kill her
  
• Assassin: Kill the woman imprisoned in the cage

Make the poisoned meat:

• Chef: Prepare the poisoned meat

To kill the character you meet at the beginning of the game who is also taken prisoner

• Deadly trap: Kill the wasteland dweller by opening the cage floor
  or not kill him
  
• The rodent savior: Release the wasteland dweller from the cage

Escaping the castle

• The fugitive: Escape the castle

This save file takes place immediately after you escape the castle.

All decisions taken up to this point have been evil (everyone killed).

You can quickly get the Sightseer: Look at all roadsigns achievement:

• Outside the mine, click on the signpost point up to the left.
  
• Outside the tree, click on each of the two signposts

This save file takes place after you enter the cathedral and meet the blind man.

All decisions taken up to this point have been evil.

Click on every painting in the cathedral for the Art connoisseur: Examine every painting in the Painter's cathedral achievement.

Restore the blind man's paintings for Conservator: Renovate 30 paintings in the Painter's cathedral, or follow the advice of the "cat" and destroy the three marked paintings for the Art critic
Destroy 3 paintings in the Painter's cathedral achievement.

I received the Scribe: Collect all notes achievement in this section by doing the following:

• First, I viewed all the paintings to get Art connoisseur
  
• Then I chose to destroy the three paintings
  
• Scribe popped as soon as I destroyed the first painting

This save file takes place before you make the decision to betray the winged creature or not.

All decisions taken up to this point have been evil.

Betray him:

• Snitch: Reveal the winged creature's hiding place
  Or lie on his behalf
  
• Keeper of secrets: Don't reveal the winged creature's hideout

This save takes place right at the end of the game. Choose the key on the left for the evil ending, giving you the Damnation: End the game as evil achievement.

You could try taking the other key, but seeing as all decisions up to this point have been evil, I think you'll still get the evil ending.

This save game takes place immediately after escaping the castle.

All decisions up to this point have been good.

This save takes place after you steal the egg from the lizard wizard's tower.

All decisions so far have been good.

You can give it to the winged creature (evil) for Egg for the winged one Give the storm egg to the winged creature, or you can give it to the tree (good) for Scarecrow: Give the storm egg to the tree creature.

This save takes place after you obtain the crown from the tomb.

All decisions so far have been good.

You can give the crown to the wizard lizard for Crowned reptile: Give the treasure from the tombs to the inhabitant of the tower, or to the rat in the hut for The rat king: Give the treasure from the tombs to the inhabitants of the wasteland hut.

If you go to the rat's hut to give him the crown, you can click on the picture above the mantelpiece for the
The wonder years: Look at the picture over the mantelpiece in the rat's hut achievement.

If you go the wizard lizard's tower, make sure to click on every book on the first floor for the Bookworm: Read all books achievement.

After you decide who to give the crown to, you can quickly get the train fuel near the wizard's tower and refine in the basement of the rat's hut. Go to the train and you will unlock the One way ticket: Start the train achievement.

This save game takes place immediately after arriving at the frozen village after taking the train.

This save file takes place immediately before you choose which key to take.

All decisions so far in this save have been good, so choose the key on the right.

Head over to the the very left and go down the escalator. Place the key on the scales to receive the
Salvation: End the game as good and Total recall: Finish the game without using the notebook achievements.
