Meanwhile, you will have to keep these achievements in mind when playing through the game. I will not mention every instance of when you should work towards these.

Starting Notes
This guide was written to help achieve most Lucius achievements in a single playthrough. After completing the game once with this walkthrough, there should (key word: “should”. Let me know in the comments if something was missing.) only be four achievements left if starting from a fresh slate.

Chapter 4 is going to be the chapter where the “Hoarder” achievement is going to be obtained, so a good portion of the game’s items will be found then. Just as a note if intending to use this guide for general completion and not for achievements.
Chapter 1: Cold as Hell (Mary)
After the opening cutscene and the celebration of our sixth birthday, Nancy wants us to help the maid, Mary, cleanup and be in bed by 10pm.

We are then given our first contract to kill Mary.
  • Pick metal padlock off table
  • Close walk-in freezer door
  • Use padlock on the freezer door, locking Mary in the freezer
  • Turn down the temperature of the freezer

Contract completed!

This goes right into another short tutorial section with Lucifer.

Take items off the table in the corner:
  • Notebook
  • Flashlight
  • Batteries

This starts the tutorial on inventory section:
  • Inventory Management
  • Combining Items
  • Notebook / Quest Log

You are then sent to retrieve the padlock from the kitchen, however…

Before leaving the room, take the red water bottle on the bookshelves next to the door.

Clean up the mess your room by putting the toy cars away in your toy box. All toys are located within the confines of your room.

Now go get the padlock from the freezer – follow the map directions that you are given. Don’t worry about this being a stealth section, no one is awake.

In the room leading downstairs, on the side table / vanity near the door – pick up the screwdriver and lightbulb.

Continue onto the kitchen, retrieve the padlock from the freezer door, this will unlock a new ability, but you will not be given the tutorial for it until the end of the next chapter.
Chapter 2: Smoking Kills (Gene)
Leave your bedroom and go straight through your parent’s bedroom to the hallway on the other side, follow this hall to the end and go into the bathroom. Pick up the toothbrush to the left of the sink and use it on the sink.

Use the empty water bottle on the sink.

Start down the hallway that the map directs you to go down, go into the bedroom that is across from the guest bedroom – this is Uncle Tom’s room.

Go into the closet and retrieve the bottle on the ground next to the box.

Go downstairs to the kitchen and use the screwdriver on the stove. Go back into the dining room and to the alcove with the couches and TV to receive your contract to kill Gene.

Stand directly behind Gene and to the right of him to snatch the matches on the side table next to him – the exclamation mark means that it would be an instant game over because it is being looked at, wait until he is not paying attention for the exclamation mark to go away and then take it.

Gene will go to the kitchen to use the stove because he can no longer find his matches to light a cigarette.

Tutorial: Telekinesis
  • Interact with the music box on your desk – what a lovely tune!
Chapter 3: Tone-Death (Ivor)
Follow the map to the bathroom next to the dining room to get your contract to kill Ivor the drunken handyman.

Take all three wrenches from the tool chest next to him and return to the dining room.

Select the 1/2 inch wrench and use it on the foot pedals of the piano.

Go back to the bathroom. On the wooden stool next to the toilet, pick up the pencil and use it on Ivor’s to-do list, Ivor will then curse at having to fix the piano.

Return to the dining room and turn the cross hanging on the wall upside down, otherwise it will affect your telekinesis.

Have telekinesis ready and use it when Ivor bends down to fix the foot pedals on the piano.

Chapter 4: Cutting Edge (Jeb)
Nancy will ask you to take out the trash, hang onto that thought…

Go downstairs to meet the butcher, Jeb, in the cold room at the bottom of the closest set of stairs – just follow the map directions if you get lost. He’s your next contract.

Talk to him until he asks you to take the boxes that are in the corner to the walk-in freezer, this is your one and only chance to complete this chore.

Once you complete the job for Jeb, it’s time to deal with the trash. Open the left cabinet underneath the sink to find the trash. Take it and leave the kitchen, go through the dining room, and out into the garden. There is a shed northeast (roughly 2 o’clock) behind some trees with the dumpster just behind the shed. Lift the lid and use telekinesis to get it into the dumpster. Don’t worry about closing the lid.

Go into the shed and plug in the air compressor, it won’t turn on until later. Pick up the nail gun, it is on top of a small two-tiered shelf next to the door, along with the nails for the nail gun, on the lowest shelf of the three-tiered shelf on top of a box.

Go to the bar (the cocktail on the map) and talk to Alastair, he wants you to get him a bottle of ’33 wine – we’ll do that in a bit.

Go upstairs through the lobby (the stairwell most north center on the map) to the second floor.
Look to your right and go underneath the stairwell to the living quarters for the living quarters, it’s the correct living quarters if there are a pair of earrings on the desk in the first bedroom that you can enter – you’ll need to return those earrings to Nancy the next time you see her. Continue going down the same hall, you’ll see a lost and found box on a side table with a cassette in it – this is needed later so grab it while getting the earrings.

Leave the living quarters and go upstairs with the steps across the hall, not the one you just came out from under.

Go into your grandfather’s study, the door across the hall at roughly a 2:30 angle from the top of the steps.

At the far side of the study is your grandfather’s desk. Use telekinesis to bring down the camera from the top shelf of books. On the black side table next to the desk, take the map and photopaper.

Exit from the door closest to your current location and go across the hall to the classroom, open your desk and take the super glue.

Go into your father’s study (the room with the pen and paper on the map). Immediately put these items away because you should not logically have them due to your age. At his desk, open the right cabinet and take the revolver bullets. Go to the safe to retrieve the revolver. The combination is your birthday 6 – 6 – 19 – 66.

Go down the steps by your grandfather’s study and through the lobby to get to the garage.

In the storage area, grab the keys hanging on the hook and go into the middle cage. Get the tire iron laying on the far side of the cage, take out the keys to free yourself from the inside of the cage. Give the mechanic in the garage the tire iron.

Going past the storage area, to the area just before going down to the wine cellar. Pick up the 30-amp fuse sitting on the second level of the shelf and put it in the missing spot on the fuse box in the storage room. You will get a notification that the electricity has returned to the shed by the light coming on.

Go down to the wine cellar to look for the wine and the secret area.

The secret area is behind the black tarp covering the back of the cellar, specifically on the right-hand side of the cellar. Look at the map from your grandfather’s study if you’re having trouble. Go down the corridor to the secret area. On the other side of the room, there is a pill bottle that you need.

Return to the wine cellar. In the first cluster of wine, look at the top row in the area where the year labels are. There is one wine that looks slightly different from the rest, that is the ’33 wine.

Return the ’33 wine to Alastair.


Back to Jeb, stand behind the stack of boxes that is near Jeb and use telekinesis on the lightbulb. It will break. Hand Jeb the spare that you have. When Jeb tries to replace it, use telekinesis on the workbench that he is standing on. Look for the motor if you’re having trouble getting it to work.

Chapter 5a: Eat Healthy (Agnes)
Before leaving your room, take the music box off your desk. It is now an inventory item. Use it at least once.

Follow the map directions to Agnes’ office (it’s close to your father’s office). You’ll get your next contract.

Go down to the bar on the first floor to talk to Alastair, he is in the back room attempting to catch rats and poison them on Agnes’ behalf.

Trying to take the poison will trigger the prompt to come back at night when Alastair is not around (just hovering over the poison to prompt the exclamation mark will be enough to trigger it).

Go back to your room and click on your bed to go to sleep, you will automatically wake up at night.
Chapter 5b: Eat Healthy – Stealth Section
This is a stealth section, read the entire section before starting if needed.

Mom will leave her room as soon as you get to the end of the hall, her AI is set to go downstairs to the kitchen.

Hide in the coat closet until you hear her footsteps fade (or until you hear the stair door open and wait a few seconds following that).

Go into the garden, McGuffin is next to the door leading to the bar – he can be seen underneath the light post.

You can get as close as the nearest section of bushes to him, near the set of two double doors.

Use telekinesis on the light post lightbulb to get him away from the door. Wait until he walks past the light post, otherwise he is likely to spot you.

Make sure that you have your action key selected.

Make a mad dash for the door, he doesn’t follow you inside.

Once you pick up the rat poison, put it away to finish the section. You are not required to stealth back to bed.

Chapter 5c: Eat Healthy
Go down to the kitchen, on the right-hand corner of the counter there is a basket of bread. Use the rat poison on the bread.

Chapter 6: Holiday Slip (Alastair)
Alastair is tasked with turning on the Christmas lights – use this opportunity to your advantage.

Go downstairs to the garden and to your left by the two double doors.

Equip your red water bottle and pour it on the ground by the marker – the water freezes instantly.

Unplug the Christmas lights from the outlet by the door – this will prompt Alastair to come outside to check on them. You’ll find that he’s your target. His pathing is set so that he will slip and fall on the ice.

Use telekinesis on the icicle above him.

Contract completed!
Chapter 7: Fatal Affair (Jovita)
Combine the camera with the photopaper.

Go to the living quarters where you obtained Nancy’s earrings and the cassette – we’re going to have to take a photo of Tom “in the act” to indirectly show Jovita, whom you’ve likely heard proclaim her love for Tom.

Now, to rub it in a little more. Take 20 photos of the act to get the Paparazzi achievement.

Place the photo on Jovita’s desk – the one which had Nancy’s earrings earlier – and hide the padlock and rat poison inside of the desk.

Jovita will be stunned at Tom’s infidelity and run up to your parents’ balcony to cry.

In her weak emotional state, use your mind control ability on her and the railing to make her jump over it.

(I personally found more successful interactions when standing on her right.)
Chapter 8: The Mind Can Take Only So Much (Tom)
Follow the map directions to find Tom drinking in bedroom to cope with the loss of Jovita, you’ll find that he’s your contract.

Combine Tom’s whiskey bottle with the pill bottle and place the poisoned whiskey next to Tom without getting caught.
Chapter 9: Grass is Always Red on This Side (Antonio)
Go down to the garden to meet with Antonio, the gardener.

Pick up one of the rocks on the ground and place it in the path of the mower.

When Antonio tries to check the mower, use telekinesis on it to freak him out and weaken his emotional state.

Use mind control on Antonio then the mower.
Chapter 10: Betrayal (Fabius)
After waking up and leaving your room, look to the right and go out onto the balcony as far as you can go.

Use telekinesis on the electric panel at the end of the balcony to prompt Nancy to find the others.

Now comes the stealth section, use Mind Erase if you get caught out of bed since there is a delay to being caught and getting the game over.

Follow Nancy down to the landing by the living quarters – your aim is to get from here to the secret room in the wine cellar.

Once you get through the current hallway and into the lobby, use the right door to cut through the laundry room (be cautious of Will who might be patrolling the area when you enter).

Fabius would have already beaten you to the secret room where he will ask you to prepare the ritual table. There will be four bowls on the shelf left of the main table, one that is cracked but can be patched up with the glue that you already have.

Place the four bowls at the feet of the table, each bowl has been pre-determined to be with a specific leg, you’ll have to figure out which bowl goes with which leg. While placing the bowls at the feet, light each of the candles with your matches.

On the wall besides the shelf, there will be leather straps that are meant to restrain the man on the table (Wayne) – using the straps on the hooks beside the man will prompt Fabius to begin the ceremony.

Enter the small alcove that Fabius was in prior to starting the ceremony, open the small box on the table and grab the dagger.

Read through the rest of this Chapter and Chapter 11 because the next series of events will happen quickly without much room to pause.

Equip the dagger and use it on Fabius. You are literally going to stab him in the back.

Contract completed!
Chapter 11: Into the Fiery Furnace (Wayne)
After killing Fabius will cause Wayne to wake up and break free of the binds, forcing your next contract.

You need to kill him with the combustion ability that is now available from killing Fabius, however you will need to keep the crosses upside down.

Wayne is programmed to go around the area and turn the crosses right-side up and then proceed to kill you. Of course, letting him get to close will be an automatic game over and keeping the crosses upside-down will allow you to keep your powers.

Therefore, this chapter is a mad dash of keeping at least some of the crosses upside down while using combustion every opportunity you have.

Keep on repeating this and he'll eventually burn up and die.

Chapter 12: Shot for Education (James)
Upon waking up, follow the map directions to the classroom on the other half of the third story where you’ll be given the contract to kill your tutor, James.

Climb up the opposite staircase and enter the door at the top. Turn right as you enter the door and go through the door on the left side. You'll end up at your grandpa's study. Now leave the study through the only other door in the room and enter the room right in front of that.

You'll receive your kill confirmation for your tutor inside the classroom.

Interact with him and he’ll start asking you math questions.

Take the card that has the correct answer printed on it and show it to the tutor. Do this correctly three times (the order being 3, 1, 2) and he'll ask you to bring out your biology book.

Showing him the book on top of your desk will prompt James say that it isn't a biology book, and that he'll go look for one.

When he does, combine the revolver with the bullets. Leave the gun on his desk.

Use mind control on James then the revolver.

Contract completed!
Chapter 13: Peeping Tom (Susan)
Go to the laundry room and turn the cross near the baskets upside down. Open the lid to the washing machine. On the top left shelf, use telekinesis to bring the iron into the washing machine. Close the lid to break the washing machine.

Go up to the bathroom on the third floor, the one near your parents’ bedroom. Turn the cross that is above the toilet upside down. Wait for Susan to take a bath, a short cutscene will occur and you will automatically be placed outside of the bathroom.

Go into the room right next to it, labeled as a question mark on the map. This is your Uncle Tom’s “Secret Room” for a reason.

Interact with the poster next to the monitor to reveal the peephole into the bathroom. Susan is indeed taking a bath. On the sink counter there will be a hair dryer, drag it over the bathtub and drop it into the water.

Chapter 14: Overdose of Fumes (Michael)
After waking up head to the garage where you’ll find your next contract.

Look to the right of Will and grab the dry rag on the table.

Now head over to Michael’s side and you'll see a paint thinner on top of the table. Interact with it and you'll receive a new entry in your notebook as well as a message saying you can't take the thinner right now.

Return to the laundry room and break the washer just like in the previous chapter. Will needs to be prompted to leave the garage.

After Will leaves, take the paint thinner and combine it with the dry rag before putting it back on the table.

Use mind control on Michael to make him interact with the handkerchief. He will breathe in the paint thinner and pass out.

Go to the laundry room and use mind control on Will to make him interact with the control panel for the air-conditioning.

Go back to the garage and use telekinesis on the car.

Contract complete!
Chapter 15: Will (Will)
Go into the garage and you'll receive your next contract.

Use telekinesis on the oil can above Will and shatter it open, pouring oil all over him.

After the oil pours on Will use combustion to set Will on fire.

Contract complete!
Chapter 16: American Schizophrenic (Nancy)
This chapter begins in the garden instead of in your bedroom.

Combine the nail gun with the nails to load it. Go inside the shed and use the nail gun on the air compressor.

Leave the shed and place the nail gun in the grass as determined by the arrow.

Wait for your father to get close and force him to interact with it through mind control. (This might take a couple tries since Charles goes straight to Nancy and is an automatic game over if he gets to her.)
Chapter 17: Terrence (Terrence)
Wait for Terrence to finish talking on the phone. Equip telekinesis.

Lift each one of the busts (that have a cross behind it) and wait for Terrence to shoot it and shatter the cross behind it.

After destroying all the crosses, lift the statue at the right side of the room and Terrence will accidentally shoot the controller for the ceiling fan.

Use your telekinesis on the ceiling fan.

Contract complete!
Chapter 18: The End is Here (The Fathers / Option 1)
Before starting the final Chapter, you will need to know that:
  • The Priests act as a metaphorical cross, draining the use of your abilities, therefore you can’t hang around them for too long. When one or both get too close, be ready to run past them.
  • Charles will automatically give you a game over if you allow him to attack you.

Use small combustions on the Priests to force them to keep their distance while not draining your energy meter too quickly (like Chapter 11 with Wayne).

Keep ducking between the lobby and the hallway / “Terrence-room” and using combustion until both are dead.

Here comes the hard part.

Charles will grab a fire extinguisher, meaning combustion is worthless on him.

Equip telekinesis. Lure him over to the right side of the stairs. You need to bring that pillar down on him somehow.

Use telekinesis on the pillar above you whenever you can, loop back around to the lobby if not done on the first pass.

Just be sure that Charles is nearby and that in case the pillar falls it will hit him.

Tempting Charles to attack you near the pillar should give you an opportunity, there is a recover animation afterward.

After dropping the pillar on Charles, Lucius will walk out the main door and the credits will start to roll.
End Game
For the final few achievements, I’m going to talk about how I was personally able to get the achievements if you’re struggling to get them.

Firestarter / Firecracker Use lesser combustion 10 times.

Select Chapter 15. Keep attempting to use the lesser combustion until the achievements activate, I was somehow able to get them when I was aiming at the puddle of oil at his feet.

Inside your head / Ultimate devil mindtrick Use mind control 10 times.

I’m not sure when I achieved these, but (as far as I am aware of) should only be prompted during the main story – here is a list of Chapters that utilize the ability:
  • Chapter 7 (Jovita)
  • Chapter 9 (Antonio)
  • Chapter 12 (James)
  • Chapter 14 (Michael)
  • Chapter 16 (Nancy)

Marathon / Tour de Dante manor Walk / Cycle around a lot

Complete the game a second time if you do not want to keep walking around in circles.

Mem-error / Dr. Alzheimer Use memory-erase 10 times.
They see me rollin Get spotted 5 times.


Select Chapter 10. Get to the point in the chapter where Nancy is prompted to leave the room. Enter the room so that she immediately spots you and use memory-erase. Never move so that she keeps catching you, repeat until you have both achievements.

Oops! / Screw Hiding Shoot 5 persons.

Select Chapter 12. Load the gun and Nancy should be leaving her room at around the same as you. I’ve gotten a lot of good results from this.

Pyromaniac Let five people burn.

After completing the game once, select your completed file on the main menu. There should now be a new option titled Extra that is now available. It is loosely similar to the final chapter of the game except that you are not in a dark field instead of the Dante manor. Avoid the Priests and keep shooting fireballs at them when you are at a good distance away.

If I may add regarding Zolag's statement, for the pyromaniac achievement, I found repeating the mission where you set will on fire in the garage a few times completes this as well. This is a lot easier than said above just less challenging and fun as he mentioned to do. So if your looking for easier than the method I mentioned will do the job.
