Location and changing of the air tanks on the spitfire.

TLDR: they are behind the seat, and are accessed through the radio hatch on the left hand side. some camera clipping may be required and can be done through the window.

What Is this mission?

Change the air tanks they said. It will be easy they said.
I tore the entire plane apart looking for these blasted things.

The only thing that needs to be done here is to change the tanks. that's it.
You can ignore the bit about cleaning the machine guns.

Where Is It?

Go here.

Pull the radio out.

Get the camera in here. (It's a pain)

BEHOLD THE TANKS! (Only the red ones can be changed)

Now just get replacements and do it all backwards. NO GUN CLEANING REQUIRED.
(for now)

I have several. Like: Why is there a time limit? Why is it so long?

i have discovered you can get access to the tanks with out having to even open the radio access panel. just go into disassembly mode and look down through the cockpit glass and you can remove them!

How to get to the workbench? I can not get out of plane-mode, to fix the parts.

@Oradul I really wish they had a schematic or something to look up stuff like that. That would have saved me a good chunk of time.

@TheNucks check the air compressor. it should be on the rear right hand side of the engine. (remove the top and right side panels)

@TheNuks There are brake pads you need to replace but you need to jack up the plane and take off the tires to see the brake pads first.

thank you for this. I spent 10 minutes trying to find them. googled it, but the info was not location wise, only the looks and that it is around the cockpit. it's stupid to give a task and not giving some help, I'm not a spitfire mechanic to know the location and workflow of the spitfire.
even IRL, mechanics have schematics of the plane they're working on.
