Intro
The Main Spessart Bahn is quite the interesting route. Really worth a drive-and a look around too. Let's see what there is to nab, and more importantly, where it is.

Looks like we have 100 of those shiny collectables to find this time around. I'm quite surprised by that, but I guess 100 is the standard once again, huh? At least this route is almost linear. The fact that it's only almost linear is the only real sense of difficulty this time around. I'm looking at you, Aschaffenburg port!

So, hop aboard your RB service, and let's collect some stuff!

Here from XBOX or PS4? As I have been told, collectables are exactly the same on PC or console, feel free to share this guide to anyone on consoles!
The Collectables
The best way to start is to show ya what you'll be looking at for the rest of the guide.

As mentioned earlier, we are back to the usual 100 collectables, made up of 4 types of objects. Unfortunately, this route offers nothing new, so everything here will be familiar to experienced collectors...

Route Maps

As usual, an uncollected map is a blank poster, walking up to it applies a texture with a map of the Main Spessart Bahn.
Uncollected
Collected
There are 20 maps on the route, placed at stations, of course.

Damaged Fences

An uncollected fence will be a (quite difficult to spot) hole in a chain link fence. Walking up to it will apply some very obvious caution tape, as well as some extra fence to fill in the hole.
Uncollected
Collected
30 fences are in need of repair all over the route.

Trees

These logs will just be sitting around, walking up to one will turn it into a pile of smaller logs.
Uncollected
Collected
Again, we have 30 of these and they are in the grass just about everywhere.

Hazard Cones

Look for potholes in walking surfaces. Walking up to one of those potholes will place down the hazard cone itself.
Uncollected
Collected
Like route maps, there are 20 hazard cones, which are at any paved area.
#1 Aschaffenburg
We will start in Aschaffenburg, and after that, we'll work eastward. The port is a significant diversion from this though, so you might want to grab an RB service after walking around the port.

#2 Aschaffenburg Port
This is the only reason collectables on this route can be difficult. A whole fifth of the collectables jammed into this surprisingly large freeroam area. But dang the port is well built. I really hope we can get some loco to drive around here.

#8 Lohr
Oh, Lohr also has a bit of non-electric industrial trackage. But it's not near as extensive, interesting, or collectable-filled as the Aschaffenburg port.

Outtro
I do find it ironic how the star of the show here is the port. Such an interesting area with so much effort put in and so much going on to encourage exploration (the fact that there are easter eggs there kinda says the people who built it actually put some effort in). But then there's nothing to drive on it. I'm sure hoping they add something to use there.

As for the rest of the route, it's far more standard in terms of exploration and collectables. The drive itself is the interesting part.

Once again, thanks. I hate doing these, but they're the first thing I do, because otherwise it's an itch that I have every time I play.

Thanks again for your hard work put into doing this I had 5 trees and two cones left to find. I never would have thought to walk up the hillside at the one station for the tree.

Excellent! Thank-you. I don't think I'd have ever found the log behind the containers without this!:steamhappy:
