1.Delete the SGA_ Files
Go to this path :
C:\Users\*******\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings
DELETE ALL (SGA) FILES
IT USUALLY HAS SIZE 40-70 MBs...remove them all
2.Adding Command in the Launch Options box
This is Rockstar Solution it might work for you
1.Start Steam
2.Under Library, right-click on Red Dead Redemption 2
3.Select Properties
4.Select Set Launch Options
5. In the text box, add -ignorepipelinecache
6.Select OK
7.Close the Properties window
8. Launch Red Dead Redemption 2
3.NVIDIA Users with VULKAN api
by default the game runs with AMD api called VULKAN ,if you have NVIDIA card it's better to use DIRECT X instead of VULKAN
VULKAN was made for AMD users using this method on NVIDIA can cause major problems
you can easily switch to DIRECT X 12 from Options-Graphic Settings

I have the same crash. Not all the time, but sometimes when there's a prompt to press F1. I use DirectX 12

Vulkan is crashing to desktop on AMD since September 2022 patch. The typical FFFFFFF errror.

having the same problem consistently for 4 days , tried all of this and it didn't work sadly.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu
RTX 3060 12GB gpu
32GB RAM 3200 MHz

I got it to work for 2 hours the night before posting this, I come back and it crashes within 10 minutes again, idk what rockstar did to this game but if this had happened on console I bet there'd be a lot more people upset.

would really appreciate a fix, even temporary since I did enjoy this game back at launch on my xbox.

this is still a thing at the tail end of 2022, its embarrassing lol
