Intro
Snipers are often bested by Riflemen, and ripped to shreds by Pointmen. But, there are ways to take them down, by position, or by tactic.
Pointmen
Point men are fast and versatile at areas, but not at range. Facing them, take advantage of their short range and stay at a distance. If they can manage to get close, throw them away with a grenade and supress with a pistol. That should take care of them. If they happen to get through that, retreat to a teammate or get close and stab them.
Riflemen
Riflemen are good for the versatilty they can pose, and kill and will be nearly impossible to kill them if they see you. So that is the best way to take them down. HIDE. Then aim and kill them. If you can't hide or they have already seen you, throw a grenade and RUN. Find a nearby teammate or hide again.

Snipers
Snipers are easily taken down at closer ranges, but are at a stalemate against another sniper. Get the drop on them, if you can. Also, this is the only time where loadout is important. Use your best pistol and use a semi-auto or EXTREMELY high-powered rifles.
Good Placement
A good place for snipers to be is to be overlooking a large and important section of the battle, often the middle. Then lay down supressing fire with a semi-automatic sniper. Or a, "lone wolf," sniper can use a high powered rifle and kill the enemy, away from all of your teammates. With this gameplay style, you should normally be on the ground, hidden in an open plain, such as the wheat fields on Windmill.
Loadout
If you want to use a bolt action, i would suggest a maximally modified M29. It is easy to obtain and powerful, including it's accuracy. That's what use. For a semi-auto, I would suggest a VSS with any modification you want, but stay at relatively closer ranges. For a pistol, just use a Beretta, it is powerful and accurate, and can also enter ADS mode. Also, it can be acquitted with a silencer with the default V key whenever you need it. Thats just my 2-sense.
Conclusion
I hope this guide was helpful and starts you on your path to, "Total Assasination!" Please leave comments, I would love to see them!

This guide seems to focus mainly on running away, and proceed to use a pistol or semi-auto. That's not how sniping works. If you're going to snipe, bring at least a bolt-action - a powerful and quick one - and focus on your target, while aware of your surrounding areas. Pistol should only be used on extreme measures, to finish off an enemy, or - if powerful enough - drop some helmets and bodies.

Quick-scoping is also key to fighting off full-automatic weapons. If you learn how to master it, you'll be dropping enemies with ease. Plus sound-whoring, as we call it, is as amazing as a cheat. If you have a headset, or headphones, sound-whore and walk only in extreme measures, as well - to listen; flank; etc. Even without proper gear, it's still possible to listen to enemy footsteps and weapons. (reloading; scoping; swapping; and others.)
