Dinosaur Assassins: A beginners guide to using the Dilophosaurus
By Afaro Ninja
So, you've decided on buying Dino D-day or play it on a free wekkend deal. You've gone into a team dathmcth session and joined the axis team, and pick dilophosaurus. But how do you use the dilophosaurs in tackling your enemies? Here we will discuss about mastering the skills of the dilo( not primal carnage dilo, but dino d-day dilo) in just 3 simple tactics.

GOATS AND THROWING:
The dilo is considered a commonly used class, and it can be rather powerfull if you know how to use it. First off, we begin with the goats. Goats normally lay around in their filth waiting for you around the many maps you will play in, and can be picked up and thrown at people, which is funny and useful since you will get two kills if you manage to hit someone. Using a goat is fairly easy. Just walk up to one, pick it up with alt-fire (right mouse button), then click either side of the mouse buttons to through it. Goats can be aimed and thrown in any direction, even upwards! This is helpful when trying to get those snipers in high places you cant get to. but you only have one shot a time to throw a goat, so make it count, for you can give the enemy the upper hand. Also watch out for closed and tight spaces, because the goat can be stopped by the objects around you, and they cannot penetrate through the enemy base to get a kill( it can still be thrown through, but it wont hurt anyone.)

STUNNING:
Now lets talk about charging and stunning. To charge, simply engage into a sprint (hold shift), aim your crosshair, and then ram your victim by clicking the left mouse button. If successful, your target will get thrown through the air and across the floor, literally stunned on the ground. Now you have the right away. On a down victim, walk up to them, and pick them up, just like a goat! And just like goats, you can also throw downed enemies and score kills the exact same way! While carrying a victim, you will only have 5 seconds before they will die in your jaws (in which you will still get a kill). If you somehow miss and dont stun the target, some damage may still be done on it, but prepare to recover quickly as they likely will try to counter your miscalculated attack. All classes on the Allies team can be stunned and picked up, all except for Trigger the Protoceratops who can only be stunned, so you just have to maul him to death. NOTE: if you misscalculate your stun attack or happen to get stuck in a small room with litte space to turn around normally, do some jumping and point your camera in the (direct) opposite direction to where the dilo's head is facing, and you should automatically do somewhat of a "quick turn".

STEALTH:
Onto my favorite subject of fighting: Stealth. Despite its size and a bit of an issue with going through smaller doorways, the dilo is surprisingly stealthy and is a great example for ambush attacks. Remember, the night is your friend. None of the classes can see in the dark, but the dilo's black skin matches perfectly into dark spots around the maps, and most enemies will most likely not see you. You could be right behind or a few feet in front of them and they wouldnt even know! The dilo works great in dark maps when using stealth, especially in the Snowy Park map. The trick is to hide in a dark spot, and wait for someone to pass by. Try to look for darker areas nearby the enemy base, or in some spot you know they will likely camp in or walk to. When someone walks within striking range, attack. You can do this in five ways. 1) Stun them and do a throw attack/maul them, or if there is a lot of enemy activity nearby, do a "grab and go", and take the target somewher else to kill. 2) If they know your hiding out there, throw a goat! By doing this you wont have to close in to attack (and lets face it, who would expect to see a goat hurtling at them out of the darkness?!). 3) Create a distraction, throw a goat for example, nearby them and run off. they might go investigate seeing if their and opportunity for a kill, but instead you'll be taking this opportunity and strike them from behind! 4) Join in the thrill and attack an enemy when they are focused on fighting another teammate, and take the kill, or get an assist. 5) Suprise the enemy. Sometimes the axis team can be so overwhelming the may push the enemy back to their base. But the Allies can do this too. If this happens, you can either take another route out of your base to attack them (I dont know why, but most of the enemy team seem to cover the base's main entrance, which is not always the best tactic. if youre going to wreck the enemy so much that they are "bed bounded" to their base, at least try to cover all exits), or just burst out in fury when they least expect it (for example: in order to take out two enemies blocking your exit, when they think they have you trapped, try running out to stun one enemy (alway try to immobilize the stongest enemy), kill the standing one, then head back to the downed enemy and finish them off. This could also be done with other classes with the stun ability, like trigger or the stygimoloch.) NOTE: Never stay in one spot, unless you have a plan for doing so. Always try to move around when being stealthy and avoid open areas like the main battelfield, because the enemy is not completely helpelss to your strategy, for some will eventually catch onto your movements and can still spot you in or heading to your chosen camping spot, whether they see your nametag or if your running in clear view across the battlefield.

And that is how you can use the dilophosaurus in an effective way. Some of the other classes, like the velociraptor, microrpator, or even the compy can be used in similar strategies, but this is how you can own the Allies being a dilophosaur assassin.

-Good luck and happy hunting

i think the micro rapter is the most powerfull class. it's hard to hit, it can fly, it can blind, and it can stick to cilings to give it the best ambush attack in the game.

Your luck will make or break your performance as a dinosaur. If you have bad luck, you simply can't do well because you'll never find good opportunities or just be shot in the back 24/7.

You forgot something, the thrown goats can kill Hardfraves in berzerk mode! (Yes, that happed to me once as I was Hardgrave, just after puching the T-Rex to death a dilo hit me with a goat when I had about a third of my mode left.)
