Secret Character Sets

There are several characters in The Wonderful 101 that can easily be unlocked by entering the Platinum Code. This Konami Code-esque cheat needs to be entered in specific locations to unlock the different characters, including the three special Bayonetta characters. Keep in mind that these unlocked characters will still need to be purchased in the shop.

Platinum Code: DOWN, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, Y, A, X, B (all while holding right trigger)

Bayonetta Set

Unlocked in Operation 001. This will unlock Wonder-Rodin, Wonder-Jeanne, and Wonder-Bayonetta. Price in the Shop: 2,000,000.

Sentinel Set

Unlocked in the Prologue. This will unlock Wonder-Captain, Wonder-Scarf, and Wonder-Gramps. Price in the Shop: 1,000,000.

Memory Set

Unlocked in Operation 006-B. This will unlock Wonder-Red (Emeritus), Wonder-Daddy, and Wonder-Future. Price in the Shop: 1,000,000.

Rival Set

Unlocked in Operation 009-B. This will unlock Wonder-Chewgi, Wonder-Immorta, and Wonder-Vorkken. Price in the Shop: 1,000,000.

Newcomer Set

Unlocked in the Epilogue. This will unlock Wonder-Goggles, Wonder-Director, and Wonder-Poseman. Price in the Shop: 1,000,000.

Thanks for the guide -- seems most other guides on the net are perpetuating an incorrect code.

I've never been able to input this code. Do I use the left or right stick while inputing it?

I read somewhere recently that everyone in these sets can be unlocked by earning various bottle caps/Trophies. That said, they need three specific bottle caps EACH, 45 specific caps total for the whole set. Suffice it to say, there is a REASON that I was only aware of the code method for all these years.

Finally got it after trying something slightly different and this is weird. Apparently on an xbox controller you need to do DOWN, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, Y, A, X, B.

Today I tried again and it actually worked. Not sure what I was doing wrong, I had all the requirements already. Oh well, now I get to play with Bayo

Stand in the location in the the pictures, hold the right trigger and input the code above. Make sure to have the amount of money listed

Beaten the game. Can't seem to figure out how to get any of this to work even with all the conditions met.
