Foreword
This guide is here to tell you everything you need to know. It's mainly here for me, since I'll probably not play this game for a few years and then come back having forgotten everything. The main things to remember are unit composition and grinding spots.
How to Win Everything

This thing right here.

Just build the fastest Assault Tanks you can, develop faster ones, and keep doing that for the whole game. You'll be stuck on Kodamas for a while, since the next upgrade is really expensive, but it's no problem.

The heavy and slow versions of the Assault Tanks are only good when you want to build ultra-expensive super tanks with crazy modules to blast the entire map in a single shot. Fun, but takes a lot more grinding.
Where to Grind
These are the best places to stop to grind when you need more supplies. Missions are listed in order of acquisition, though I would only start grinding on No. 013 (to deal with Mr. Cat). Totals given are the average that you would earn from trying to clear as quickly as possible. Refer to the Mission Rewards section for more information.

No. 032 - Hellish Infrastructure: 50,000 supplies + 1 Cola.
  • Takes a while, but the Cola is nice. Normally Cola would require spending 100,000 supplies on development, then 100,000 to produce each one.
No. 008 - Shirokuma Jungle: 82,000 supplies.
  • Easy map to rush down quickly, easy map to wipeout, and a good reward as well.
No. 009 - White Cloister: 95,000 supplies
  • Same as above.
No. 013 - Mine-Yahata Base: 120,000 supplies
  • Pair by twos to have your Kodamas cover each other, and you should lose very few units.
No. 015 - Mr. Cat: 1.2 million supplies.
  • Yes, it does sound crazy to grind on Mr. Cat, but it works. After beating the mission after this one, you'll be able to make the fastest version of Assault Tanks. These new tanks will be only 1 point of speed slower than the cats, making the battle much more doable. You get 1,200,000 supplies for a successful clear, which is miles above anything else you'll have access to for a long time.
No. 016 - Nagoya Tower: 110,000 supplies
  • Less supplies than No. 013, but it goes way faster. No reason to grind here unless you can't grind Mr. Cat, though.
No. 023 - Colosseum: 3,394,000 supplies (WO: 2,000,000)
  • A bit slower and more difficult than Mr. Cat, but the reward is tripled. You might be able to clear this quickly using max-upgraded Nozomis. Haven't tried that yet.
Walkthrough
You don't have to follow this closely. Just check it if you want more information about what you should be doing. Parts highlighted in bold are important. If an alternate episode isn't mentioned, assume that the approach is the same as what you've been doing.

Episode 1: Use Heshiko to scout in the top left corner to find the command tank (it's usually on the right), ping it with your arty.

Episode 2: Lose here if you want Ending D. Otherwise build Assault Tanks and rush the enemy down.

Episode 3: Develop a better Assault Tank. Rush the map down with it. Do this for every map unless stated otherwise. The train can start in the left, middle, or right of the rails. If it's stuck in a place where you can't shoot its weak points, then withdraw from its visual range. If it can shoot at you then it will just do that instead of moving.

Episode 4: Scrap all your old Assault Tanks (and your Extended Radar module) and buy 6 Tsubasas.

Episode 5: Scrap your Tsubasas to build Kodamas. An enemy Shock Tank can hit the second tile from the right in the top row before you can move.

Episode 6: Don't bother researching the next Assault Tank. Too expensive.

Episode 7: Lose here if you want Ending C or Ending D. Make sure that none of your units start adjacent to the nearest left unknown tile, because an upgraded Shock Tank will move there before you can do anything. Lol.

Episode 8 & 9: Easy. Start developing Shock Tanks until you can reach Gontas.

Episode 9B: Same as above.

Detour 1: Just another rush-down.

Episode 10: Same as above.

Detour 2: Oh no. Oh no no no. See the section on Mr. Cat.

Episode 11: Easy. The Samurai fears the Assault Tank.

Episode 12: Develop Samurai Tanks and also Traffic Insurance. Lose this mission if you want Ending B. Otherwise bully Miou hard.

Episode 13: Ezpz gg. Victory is easy even if you have only 8 of the new Assault Tanks. Make sure to equip them with Traffic Insurance since that costs 90% less than replacing them.
Mr. Cat

Welcome to Hell.

The Mr. Cat detour is meant to be beaten on a New Game+, but it can be beaten on a fresh save. This will be the hardest thing you do in the entire game. The cats are super fast, attack in a wide radius, randomly dodge attacks, and there are 6 of them. One cat corresponds to 16% of the enemy's numbers.

Our only approach is to spam Gonta Shock Tanks equipped with Daisy Bombs. Gontas are just barely fast enough to be relevant. Their explosion radius with Daisy Bombs will be sufficient for flushing the cats out. Expect a lot of friendly fire. And pain. The enemy will evade your attacks like 40% of the time.

Use this formation exactly, even when using Assault Tanks. Your starting formation seems to manipulate the movement of the cats. You will almost always see one of your frontline tanks get taken out before you can move, but no more than one. The next few paragraphs assume that you're attempting this with Gonta tanks.

The tanks in the front are equipped with Cola. After the cats have attacked one side of the field twice, your Cola tanks will be able to move and intercept the cats on the other side before they can do the same. Your initial attacks will kill 0-4 cats. You might be able to get away with not giving Cola to the tanks on the outermost edges.

Keep your tanks spread out so that they won't all die to the same attack. The edges of the map are safer if the enemy has no visual. Expect the enemy to move twice or thrice for every one of your moves. Expect it to come towards you, and realize that there is absolutely no safe place for your Command Tank.

After your Cola tanks have moved, try to avoid moving your non-Cola tanks unless you know where the cats are. They go all over the place and fire randomly (unless they have visual), so the odds are that one will wander into range. Remember that you can do a standard attack instead of using the Daisy Bomb.

Turn animations off and keep reloading your save over and over again until you get it. There is a lot of RNG involved. Rest assured: Victory will feel great. It may come down to Heshiko.

After beating them once, you're rich. After the next mission you'll be able to unlock the fastest Assault Tank. This tank is able to fight on par with Mr. Cats, making it possible to grind this mission for fat stacks of cash. Remember to buy Traffic Insurance modules to cut down on replacement costs. You'll also get a Mr. Cat of your own when you clear the mission in story mode and, although it doesn't say it, the Mr. Cat will always come back even if destroyed in combat.

Later in the game you'll unlock Mr. Cat Returns. This place is also hell. Here's how I beat it. I had several Mr. Cats and Mious built up from 100% clearing the story, so I fielded them. The Mious had Diet Cola and Curry. The Mr. Cats in this level seem to be way more evasive than they were before and it was chaos. Especially because there's no way to tell which cats are yours.

Winning this scenario gives you Cat Ears, which adds +1 to all stats and +2 to speed.
Mission Rewards
I haven't been able to find a list of all the mission rewards for this game, so I'll make my own. Totals assume you destroy all enemy tanks. The less you destroy, the less you earn. In casual play you'll usually destroy around half. Totals shown include the listed wipeout bonus.

No, you get them after no.16
I meant it more as something you could use to farm supplies afterwards

Do you have samurai tanks by the time you reach the first Mr. Cat detour?
PvtYeza 28 Jan, 2021 @ 3:03am
This is an alternative to no.15 mr cat that I use,

spam samurai tanks with 3 command tanks spread out
its a lot less supply intensive and there's a chance you wont loose a single tank clearing it, meaning less cost replacing units
