Installing OpenAL driver
The first method of fixing your sound problems is to install the OpenAL driver, which comes with the game, but for some reason isn't always installed properly.

You can find this file in Steam\steamapps\common\bit.trip.runner\Dependencies\oalinst.exe

Modifying config file
If the first method doesn't fix your sound problems, then you'll need to modify your config file.
You can find it it in C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Bit.Trip Runner\game.cfg

Open the file with notepad and add the line: "SoundDevice = Generic Software" to it. Then save it and close.

Hopefully this will fix any sound glitches you might have experienced.

Also, as far as I know, these methods will work with other Bit Trip games.

I had a problem where sounds would sometimes skip (like when picking up gold), the switch to SoundDevice = Generic Software fixed it for me, thanks...
