the reason you didnt do the spin when boost jumping is because you have the wide angle lens equipped, because the animation changes with each lens type equipped:

Standard (standard, dirty, macro, cartridge) and Telephoto (telephoto and sports): Spin
Wide Angle (wide and ultra wide): No Trick
Fish Eye: Flip
